Hungout with multiple people here and went on a date at Big Stone. Quality mini golf and beautiful sculptures to view after finishing all the holes. read more

This place was pretty cool and had a neat outdoor setting. The holes were very creative and they had numerous sizes of golf clubs. Minus 2 stars because the sign said $7 per child and $8 for an adult. This adds up to $29 but we were charged $36 by a kid who spent a LONG time deciding prices. They don't take credit and I didn't have quite enough cash do I had to borrow a dollar from my nephew. It's been a really long time since I have been charged the wrong amount so by the time I realized, the employee who overcharged me was gone. read more

I agree with other Yelpers, this place is a gem. By far the most interesting, challenging and well thought out mini golf course I've ever played. Sculptures and water features around almost every turn. I'd recommend this course for tweens, teenagers and up, the younger kiddo's might find this a bit more difficult than the average mini golf venue that most families are drawn to. Bonus...the sculpture garden. Take a walk past the goat pen, say hello to the chickens happily pecking in the shade, continue past the horse pen and you'll find some beautiful metal sculptures, some in motion. Stop and play checkers, or a game of table top shuffle board, or just take a seat on one of the many sculpted benches or picnic tables. read more

This place absolutely needs repairs. Starting each shot in a big divot, while in the artificial turf with small rock all over the surface!! This place is living in the past. A little upkeep is really needed. read more

This hidden gem is the perfect day trip if you're looking to get out of the cities! Big Stone is by far the most unique mini golf course I have ever been to. There are 14 holes that each feature beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork for you to admire. The course is challenging, but still easy enough for all ages to enjoy! After a round of golf, make sure to wander through the back part of the garden, where you will find even more artwork, a giant ping pong table, multiple picnic areas, and farm animals! read more

This was a fun day. The course is interesting all the sculptures are awesome. But you really do have to look for the numbers, and don't be surprised if the next course isn't right there. The course is a little rough but really it makes it more challenging. You should check it out the price is right that is for sure. It's very shaded in most areas. read more

Creative holes, great sculptures, shady, and goats to feed! My 11 yo non-adventurous nephew's response "THIS WAS FUN!" Highly recommend!!! cash or check $10 adults, $9 children. read more

Big Stone Mini Golf - Great sculpture and creative 14 holes. Perfect for a summertime date! - Golf Near Me - Minnetrista, Minnesota

I really love this place! It's adorable and fun. The place has lots of well cared for and friendly animals, and the course is a lot of fun. I normally don't like golf at all, but they have so much amazing art and structures it feels like a magical garden ( and with the art there are also a lot of crazy holes with crazy and fun obstacles ). It's just a cute happy place that is awesome to hang out with any crowd. read more

A friend invited us to come with her and I had zero expectations. You would never know I played golf in high school with my current skill level. At any rate, we went and we had a good time. This is a great place to take kids. My daughter is six, almost seven, and she had a blast helping us get our golf balls in the holes, feeding the goats, and looking at the sculptures and chickens. It ended up being quite busy when we went. My friend said she's been coming for ten years and had never seen it that busy--waiting ten deep at holes busy. However, everyone was very patient and it was a fun crowd. We'll be going back for sure. read more

Best mini golf course EVER! Used to be a hidden gem - but has become a hot spot - for good reason. Sculpture garden meets putt putt + animals and outdoor games (giant chess and checkers). It's located on a rural - ish property in Mound. True golfers will find the greens to be imperfect. Everyone will delight in the creativity that went into this place. read more

The mini golf course is fun and creative. Love the animals around the place, and that there is an active organic garden. You can buy their organic produce and honey for super cheap! Absolutely enchanting. read more

Fun statuary. Not very playable course. Main issue was we went with a group prepared to pay cash. They only accept cash or check - which is great - but there was no cashier present. The honor system is nice, but so is getting change when everyone came with a $20 for a $12 fee. The grounds were fun and we had a good time. Make sure you bring exact change, a check, or be prepared to leave a good tip. read more

Me and my family went here and really enjoyed our time there with the animals the artwork the sculpture and just seeing the unusual ways they made their golf course! read more

I almost hesitate to post a review of this hidden gem for fear the masses will flock, but it's just too great not to share. Big Stone mini golf is beyond any mini golf experience you've ever had and art buffs will love it. Located in Mound (west on Highway 7 past Minnetonka, before St. Bonifacius) the course combines a sculpture garden with mini golf in a peaceful country farm setting. Each of the dozen holes is creatively and artistically designed by local artist and course owner, Bruce Stillman, with large metal, wood and stone sculptures, unique trees and beautiful plants, and surprising ways the golf ball moves through or around the sculpture. The art makes the golf challenging, but this probably isn't the place for people seriously working on their putting. It's fun and whimsical and sometimes plain hysterical to play golf here. The first hole is a forest of fossilized tree trunks with no clear shot of the hole, you just hit around the trees until you get there. Another hole is inside the overturned hull of a ship with circles of what looks like stained glass polka-dotting the surface. Closer up, you see the circles are made with colorful plastic that's been melted and squiggled together - sort of a funnel cake of multi-colored plastic. There's a spiral-shaped hole with sunflowers growing throughout the winding circle and a hole where you have to putt the ball through a hollow fossilized tree. One whole hole has you bank shot off a huge slab of granite; on another the ball spirals round and round inside an enormous metal bowl. Along with the mini golf are other fun attractions. There's a huge piece of slate with large checkerboards carved in the top and metal checkers for playing. There are goats, horses and chickens nearby on the property along with a rooster or two that crow frequently. There are great picnic areas with artistic table seating. There's an old boat that kids can climb on and a fire pit surrounded with Stonehenge-like slabs of concrete. Summer hours are 11 a.m. to sundown daily. Cost is $6 for adults and $5 for kids. It's kind of sketchy getting there, but totally worth it. You'll take an off-road to get there, and once you're there you will still probably be pretty skeptical. But once inside, you'll realize you didn't make a mistake at all, but instead a very good choice. FYI, they don't take credit/debit, so be sure to have cash or check in hand. It was $8 per adult, and $7 for children. There's 14 holes. Each hole has an appropriate name, corresponding to it's layout. I recommend checking each name on the score card as you go. My personal favorite was the Crow Del Sol course. :-) Each hole is unique and laid out unlike any course I have seen before. A+ for originality for sure. Most of them are also a little more difficult than usual, but in a fun way. At least one person in my party typically gets a hole-in-one when we play minigolf, but this time we couldn't get under 3 strokes. On the somewhat negative side, at least one hole had an unintentional crack in between the stones surrounding the green. When my ball should have bounced off the side, it got stuck. :-( A little maintenance could fix this right up, and it by no means 'ruined' our time. After all your mini-golfing fun you can walk on over to the goat enclosure. Maybe buy some goat snacks at the pavilion. The goats are super cute, seem well cared for, and they have a pretty awesome enclosure. All in all, a surprisingly great time! And the uniqueness of the courses has me recommending this place to my friends/family. read more

With the ludicrously difficult shots and the offbeat sculptures it really is an enjoyable adventure to visit Big Stone!

I was just telling someone about Big Stone and decided to write a brief review. It was at least 90 degrees and humid the day we visited but I do not blame that on the course. This is lovely, unique and creative mini-golf. The stained glass/ship hole was definitely my favorite. We really enjoyed the animals (I love goats and chickens!) as well as seeing which unique hole was up next. read more

Fun place! Great for out of towners and families. Bring water as you'll get thirsty and enjoy the intricate and beautiful works of art while playing putt putt golf! read more

This place is much more than just a mini golf experience. Everywhere you look, there is a unique sculpture. It's an instagrammers paradise. There are also animals to see and pet! They have a ton of goats that you can pet and feed. There are random chickens walking around. There are horses if you wonder further onto the land. We even saw tons of large frogs (the kids loved them). As for the mini golf; the courses were so fun! Occasionally the ball would get stuck in a crevasse where the turf is coming up... maybe some maintenance would be beneficial. Overall the courses were very creative and fun! They have water misters set up to help combat the heat. We brought a cooler with our own beverages and there were garbage cans available throughout. As for COVID precautions: hand sanitizer is abundant, they sanitize each golf club in between uses, and it's a perfect outdoor activity for friends and family during these times! I definitely will be back!! read more

Terrible experience. Staff is disorganized, completely lacks customer service. We were asked to come back in 40min (that we gladly did to ensure distancing) but after we came back as asked, they still asked us to start at the back of a line. No one controls social distancing so ton of people in line (that gotten much worse). When we asked owner why were asked to come in 40min, he could explain... read more

I never been so upset in my entire life. I don't know about you guys but I have an competitive nature and mini golf tends to bring it out of me. Why does the last hole have to be so difficult? I was in first place in my group (who's also all competitive by nature.) It was like I can't miss. I felt like I was Koby Bryant at the free throw line. I felt like I was Kanye West rapping "Who Gon' Stop Me." I felt like Jordan Belfort selling a blue chip stock. The rest of the group was simple there to witness the magic. Patrick Day equals mini golf god. But what's a god to a non-believer. The last hole was a non-believer. It cost me the lead. And maybe my will to mini golf again. read more

just like Joy...I am scared to post this if you like...no, make that love mini golf...this is going to knock your socks off. As a mini-golf addict, no really...took a boat out to Catalina Island in California just to do their course - which wasn't bad I may say, I am always impressed with this course. The challenge is high however, I have never brought any really young kids here, I take them to lilli-putt, but for the ultimate adult showdown. This is your place. It is priced pretty reasonable, I went last week and paid 12 for two people. Not bad. read more

Went here today and let me tell you wow amazing i have played mini golf in the Wisconsin dells and this by far beats any mini golf course that i have ever played. The course is very artistic as well. The people were all extremely nice and i met the sculptor in the sculpture garden that they have there az well which is amazing what he has done with simple metal. There is also a bunch of farm animals that you can feed. Well worth the trip from Anoka mn. Price was cheap as well 7 for adults and i think 5 for kids. read more

A great way to spend a bit of time with family and friends. Family owned, complete with a petting zoo and sculpture garden.

Very unique mini golf experience! The cost is why it's a 4, not a 5. Still worth the drive for anyone not in the area.

Cool place to go see and do the mini golf. it has fountains and stuff that create kind of a fun atmosphere.

A really fun course. Great place for a date especially if you've done mini golf as a couple before. Takes longer than your average course because there is more to look at and enjoy. read more

Marvelous mini golf course. It's the most unique one you will ever see; a bit of a drive from Mpls, but so worth it!

This place was amazing! Absolutely great! The golfing was really fun, and the animals were better! Each whole is a different experience, and the animals are really friendly.
