Great view of the Current River. Bed was comfortable and room location was pretty quiet, surprisingly. Only downsides were the A/C was noisy and the faux wood floors were being cleaned with some product that made them kinda sticky. We liked the Kuerig coffee maker in the room along with the nice size fridge. Check in experience was good too with friendly staff. We made reservations with a phone call and all went to expectation. Their restaurant onsite is The Blue Heron and it was good as well. Overall we had a good experience and will likely stay again.

This is unacceptable and created an extremely uncomfortable and stressful experience. I immediately reported it to the front desk, but the response was inadequate and did not resolve the problem. Hotels should prioritize guest safety and hygiene, and unfortunately this property failed to meet even basic standards. I strongly urge management to address this issue properly to prevent other guests from going through the same experience. Tried to speak with the front desk about a partial refund for the 9 hours we were in the room & I was hung up on multiple times.

Building was brand new but I wouldn't say it was anything noteworthy. There is one closet but no hangers or hooks anYwhere. One shelf that you can set luggage on. Lamp on side table for seating area was unusable as the chain in the switch was gone. Bedside lamps are absolutely out of reach when you are in bed. Refrigerator is adequate but no freezer. Ice for rooms is located in the gift shop so when they aren't open you are out of luck. Hard floors are great but housekeeping needs to be more thorough in getting the sand up. An outside hose would be great to wash sand off before entering rooms. No rugs anywhere we had to use bath mat to brush feet off before getting in bed. The shower curtain was about two feet too long, which was very annoying the first night, but they did replace it for our second night. Coffee cups were too small to accommodate the Keurig machine so if you don't choose correct amount of water you will have a mess. No phone in the room. Overall, for the price I think they could have had more amenities. Like nicer coffee cups and maybe a couple wine glasses. There were no utensils of any kind.

So pack well. After spending $101 on a room, they charged us $50 for a ride with 2 plastic kayaks for 10 miles. For an 'outfitters' they are pretty unwelcoming to floaters and as many places as welcome us on the Current, there are plenty of other options for WAY better prices.

When we arrived I was quite surprised to discover one bed per room and then I double checked my reservation and the screen shot of their description of the cabin when I made my reservation. It clearly stated 2 beds per room. Apparently they changed their website description at some point after my reservation was made. I called and was told they would provide us with 2 hide a beds but none of their cabins had 2 beds per room. Being 6 hours from home we didn't have any other options but I'll never stay there again.

I suppose if you're an 18 YO with a weekend of sex, alcohol and crazy party in store it would have been perfect. not so much so for us. i specifically said to the lady i called to set up the cabin (and i thought i was getting a cabin...not a duplex)...that i NEEDED level parking NOT on a gravel road. our gold wing is big, heavy, and will NOT be driven on gravel mountain passes or driveways. what we got was a cabin duplex (shared with others) on a hillside...up a gravel road, on a hill. NO level solid parking at all. secondly. room stunk of mildew and mold. bed was atrocious. neither one of us slept a wink in the two night (mandatory 2 day stay) that we were there. shower was gross. my wife didn't even use it. NO WiFi. NO television. i guess you get all your stuff done at the cafe downtown before you come back into the room. once you're there, you're watching each other. there is direct tv...but it is 30 channels of INFO MERCIALS. i guess next time we will be better informed. the sad thing...it is like Lowes. they want you to understand everything from the web site and make decisions based on that. it don't work very well like that either. the phone call didn't even net the results we needed. it was not the worst time...we had a good float...but won't be staying here again. better served for groups of teenagers.

Every hotel room opens out onto a balcony facing the Current River. Talk about scenery! This river is amazing. You get to see twirling shades of blue and green as they dance over rocks on their way downstream. The sound of the river alone is hypnotizing. You cannot possibly have a bad day if you wake up and this magnificent river is the first thing you see. The rooms are clean and they are all non-smoking, I think. Nothing but fresh air. The tubs are big and soothing. There is complimentary coffee in each room. There is also a mini-fridge and comfy big beds. You lack for nothing in this hotel. The food at the restaurant is incredible. Some of the best meals of my life have been at the Blue Heron. The chef is incredible and he knows just the right combination of magical spices. The menu is fairly extensive and there is a wide assortment of yummy dishes from which to choose. I come to this sleepy little town once a year. Gotta get my fill of this wonderful place. There is no better way to refresh than to stay here and eat. The servers have all been amazing. Customer service is top notch.
