The words speak for themselves. I'm happy to provide more screenshots of our previous conversations to back up what I've said. I wrote a review for this business last year and they changed the name of the business within Yelp, and created a new business page. This caused my review to disappear so I'm going to add it back here for documentation purposes. I contacted the business through the Yelp messaging system asking for a price quote and they were extremely rude to me and suggested I should just go with some cheap competitor (insulting other businesses) since they insinuated my asking for a quote range was unfair. This is standard business practices to ask for a quote. I wanted to support a local business, but I don't want to be treated like I am an inconvenience for asking about cost of services. The implication was by asking about prices I'm cheap. When you treat people rudely before you even meet them you're not likely to get business and people are likely to tell others about how they were treated. Please think twice. Luckily there are many other options around who are happy to give price quotes including a possible range of prices before coming to look at the project.

The crew, Jerrod, Matt, Dan and Robert were a pleasure, very skilled in their work and kept us informed as to what they were doing and answering any question along the way. (I posted a negative review on Yelp regarding that roofer). Since I needed help selecting a roof shingle for my home, I called Grandview. The owner set an appointment, was punctual and courteous, and showed me samples. He quoted me a fair price, and I accepted. He started the work within the following 10 days, and he completed it to my satisfaction and in a timely manner, even during a rainy day. The roof looks fantastic; they cleaned up after the job was done. His crew was polite and diligent, and I highly recommend his work.

BUYER BEWARE OF THIS BUILDER My rating of this company is not to go an a tangent but to speak facts…read moreand truth. SO BEWARE IF YOU USE THIS COMPANY We hired this company in good faith and at first all was good as we met to discuss plans and site prep. I will outline each area we had issues with and the outcome. 1 - CONCRETE Back Patio was supposed to have more lines (I don't know the word for them) but to stop cracking. We were told by at least 3 other companies there should have been 1 to 2 more lines. That didn't happen and within months of moving in there are cracks through our concrete. The garage has about 6 areas where there are chunks out of the concrete. And we were told they would be fixed. To this day nothing was done about them 2 - Electrical - within the first 3 months of moving in we had to have breakers replaced as the breakers that were used to begin kept breaking and shutting out lights and power down. Also they were supposed to come out and put electrical in the floor of our living room. Power is ran to the underneath but after calling numerous times they still have not been back (1 and 1/2 year later). Also now we just had an outage with our Well. the Pump company had to come out and run a 50 yard external temporary cable to the Well Head from our garage until we can find the wire that is bad. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN ON A HOUSE THAT IS JUST OVER A YEAR LIVED IN. 3 - Cleaning - After the contractor was supposedly completed, we were told a cleaning crew was comping out to clean the entire house. We were told EVERYTHING... NOTHING was done and we were charged for it. My wife had to get on her hands and knees to clean the entire house. To be transparent on all sides, we received a lump sum of money from the bank back to us that was supposed to to the contractor. We didn't want the money and nor did we ask to keep it. All I told the contractor was come finish the jobs and we will give you the money. I said here is a list of things and he didn't like that very much and sent an email to us to keep the money he was done. So to conclude, instead of sitting down and fixing the issues and getting his money he decided to get upset and hold grudges. Update: I called him on 3-13-24 to ask if we could talk about how we can work to get this well fixed and I treated him with nothing but respect and all he could say to me was I was contacted by the Electrical Company and the Rogue Valley Pump company and they called you a liar. I am not sure what that means.

When I requested an alternate quote with details of what I wanted left out, I was ghosted for another month. Even worse, I was working directly with the owner. He could have at least given me and ETA of when to expect the quote or informed me that they weren't going to work on my house. My impression is that this company's tactic is to wait long enough that the client forgets what was discussed and then up-sells without discussing. Then if the client calls them out on the up-sale, they're ignored. I will never consider doing business with Better Built again, and I will share their unprofessionalism with everyone I know
