For several years now, this has been my favorite consignment shop in the entire state of CT. I live…read morequite a distance from it, so I do not get to visit as often as I would like -- only 4 - 5x per year, if that. They get in quality furniture pieces and sell at extremely reasonable prices. The shop is well organized, clean, and easy to navigate. If you're a plant lover, like me, you can also admire their variety of incredible plants along the front window (not for sale). It's worth noting that they have a section of bed frames/headboards against the back wall, as well as a section of glass toppers of various sizes -- two things that are hard to find secondhand. My treasures found so far include an incredible mint condition solid wood 1960s nightstand with glass top ($160, if I recall?); a handmade wooden rolling plant stand with 12 movable arms; a remarkably heavy and detailed concrete cat statue for my garden; a handful of like-new Longaberger baskets at the cheapest prices I've seen of any consignment shop; an oriental black lacquered coffee table with inlaid mother of pearl in an intricate design ($250); and a heavy-duty metal wine rack. Those are just the ones off the top of my head. I know I've gotten more; each visit, I usually find something. The shop owner, Mr. King, I think?, is always polite, and when I've asked for a good deal, he is usually willing to haggle with me. He has the spirit for it. (Some people at other shops or yard sales get offended, in my experience.) I like that when I buy bigger furniture pieces, Mr. King or the sales clerks always make a point of carrying it to my SUV and putting it in for me. It's very kind. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking to furnish their home. As others mention, here today, gone tomorrow -- if you like something, don't hesitate. It's priced to move.

Maybe business is too good they don't need to respond. Unprofessional, poor communication, will…read moreleave you hanging i.e., ghosted. Still one of my favorite options for gifts and home decor!…read more (And candy...shhh) I came in with a friend today to pick up some summer entertaining stuff soooo I'm now the proud owner of a plastic cactus-shaped thermos with loopy straw, some 50% off pillows, yet another lamp, a jar of pesto, and a bunch of other miscellany that has nothing to do with what I came in for. Have I mentioned how great the staff are here? I had no less than 3 friendly employees offer me help or give me a heads up on a 20% off coupon I'd been overlooking. Pro tip: join their rewards program!

There are isles of international cookies, chocolate and other goods. There's also beautiful furniture, pillows and kitchen items. I personally wouldn't invest in a couch from World Market because it's typically very expensive, and you can find similar items at other retailers. But they have unique accent chairs and small attractive furniture items. My favorite thing to get here, in addition to the chocolate, are the Christmas ornaments. They are so, so beautiful, and so unique. There is so much detail in each one. Now that it's after Christmas, they are all 50% off, making each one around $2.50 - $4.00. If you have a World Market in your area, I'd encourage you go and check them out. While some items are more expensive, the unique items, hard to find items and the nostalgic items are what it's worth stopping for.

I found this place on Yelp after I picked up a "free" chaise lounge. It is perfect for bedroom and…read morephotography prop. I knew I couldn't just take home because the item was heavy as heck and if I took home I would put off and procrastinate. Wilson is centrally located on Washington ave north haven. Owner graciously met me downstairs, removed item from my car and took the time to inspect the item and point out the "gem" I procured as he compared my lounge to the "prefab won't-last-five-years chaise lounges of today. He asked questions on where the item will be stored (high traffic va low traffic areas of home) and when i answered he provided a plethora of fabrics to consider. Most importantly, he did NOT expect full payment that day! Whew!! What a relief. Starting a new business is expensive so not having to make full payment before work commenced made my day. Chair is absolutely a transformation. Comfortable and I can't wait to use as a prop. Love the oatmeal color I chose.

The years had not been kind to the chair, fabric needed to be replaced, padding worn and arm of the chair completely broken. Rich was great from start to finish. He was able to help us find the right fabrics and bring life back to the chair - looks good as new and still holds that antique quality they just don't make anymore! And a family heirloom should now see more generations to come. Thanks again Rich! Service and Skill are top notch. Rob
