I went to the Big-O Tire on 700 East in Sandy, UT. It was early afternoon. I was greeted in a friendly and inviting manner as I came into the lobby/waiting area. Explaining my particular problem, the service writer qualified what I needed and assured me they could help me with a suspected leaking TPMS sensor. An estimate was given to me verbally, and I consented. After beginning work, the service bay identified a different problem than I had anticipated with the TPMS. A new estimate for labor and parts was given to me verbally again. I was grateful that someone had done some effective problem solving to resolve the car's issue and to propose a solution. I found the estimate to be in line with my expectations for the new work and parts identified. The service bay went to work on my car. In short order the repairs were done and I paid. Upon leaving, I found that the service bay had also turned off warning lights on the dash and reset things for the factory display! Such a simple concept, really, but other shops had not done, nor offered, this simple step. I was happy to report the repairs and the way I was treated with my spouse. We had changed vehicles from my last time at this Big-O, but we updated our info. If we have needs for quality analysis, evaluation, and work in the future, we will be back. Figured I could get a quick oil change while I was out and about, walked in and the dude had crazy rbf, figured he just wasn't happy about working on the weekend. He would use as few words as possible like he was getting sick just talking to me. After waiting 45 minutes he told me "your car has a special oil filter that we don't have" (it is just a general Gm filter needed) and walked off like it wasn't his problem. 1 1/2 hours later he says they are done and bills me $100. If I knew it would have ended like that I would have done it myself. read more

I LOVE coming to Big O, specifically I go to the one in Sandy on 700. They are always honest, give fair prices and are willing to work with you no matter what! Long story short I bought a jeep that had several issues, it has been back to the dealership 6 times in a matter of 7 months. Every time I go to the dealership I get the run around from the salesmen, the managers, and the GM, they claim to "fix things" but every month it was having similar issues? Each time it was brought back to the dealership they would have it for 6 days or more. Whack right? I know. At Big O, total opposite. And wow what service! I've worked with Skyler, Jenny and Talmage and they are all helpful, they explain things in detail and they make you feel like they give a damn about you and your vehicle! Each person I have worked with has been knowledgeable and provides the best advice about my vehicle. As someone who knows zilch about vehicles except to put gas in and change the oil when the car tells me, Big O is the best place to go. I know I can count on them to provide the best service and have my vehicle ready to go in no time at all! Hi, I have been a customer at this shop for a few years now but you guys seem to miss the ball a lot these days with screwing up my friends vehicle, as well as failing to mention I should replace my rotors and pads 2 weeks ago when I had my oil changed and tires rotated. I am at another location getting this resolve but I look forward to a call from your manger to explain this half ass work and no warning. I was waiting in the waiting room for about an hour when I decided to go check on the progress of getting my tires replaced. I was told they had been trying to get in touch with me...? Like I said , I was in the waiting room and never heard my name called. I was told they didn't have my tires in stock. needless to say I was upset. they did substitute a better tire at the same price and got them on my truck in short order. Came in to get an alignment done, Omar said they wouldn't be able to do it because the lower ball joints needed to be replaced. They wanted to charge $1200 to do the ball joints and the alignment. Went home, took apart the truck and checked the ball joints personally, and they completely lied about them being bad. The ball joints were only a few months old and still in close to new condition. Took the truck somewhere else to get the alignment done, and they did it with no problem. Moral of the story is, they WILL try to up sell you on replacing things that don't need replaced, just to make more money off of you. Just obvious corporate greed trying to get into your pockets. You'll be better off going just about any where else for maintenance on your vehicles. read more

i went here for an oil change. two weeks later I noticed an oil leak. I took it elsewhere to have it checked out. they said that whoever did the oil change stripped out the threads in the oil plug. now I have to change out the entire oil pan. read more

So I've been going to this Big O for years, but over the last 6 months or so, I've brought our cars in 3 times, and after each time something was wrong that came directly from the service we had. They didn't attach the fuel hoes correctly one time, had to get the car towed. Had transmission work done, next morning there was transmission fluid all over our garage floor, had to get the car towed again. Had an oil change, next day the check engine light comes on, brought it back in and they had not put on the oil cap correctly. I don't know what has happened to this location, but I don't think I would ever go back at this point. read more

We have used Armando many times this past year to fix our 2013 For Taurus. He has exhibited very professional character traits every time we worked with him. This last car issue required searching for an impossible to find auto part for our automatic gear shift. He called several places. Eventually the part was found and the service to fix our car was remarkable. Armando came in very early on his day off to fix our car. We needed to leave town and would be driving that car. I took my truck in to check a noise which I told them I thought was related to bearings in the back. After their drive they said I needed new shocks, struts, tires, bricks, and CV joints. They assured me this would take care of the problem. $5,100 later, they bring the car to me and say, "as we were bringing the car up, we noticed a noise in the back that probably needs to be looked at." Do you think? What did I bring it in for you guys to fix? Btw, they said the tires (Big O tires) needed replacement after 24k miles. Really bad experience! I used to trust these guys but it is not the same guys as when they used to care. Find someone else. I'm sure they will write a response saying to call them and they will take care of it, but I'm not giving them anymore of my money. read more

We were doing a road trip and got a nail punctured in the tire on our way back from Yellowstone. Our tire was too bald to get the hole patched so we had to get it replaced with a new tire. Called on Monday morning 9 ish, they didn't have the tire in stock, but David helped order from their warehouse and the tires were delivered to their store at 11 ish, which was good so far. We got our two rear tires replaced and aligned. After replacement and on our way back to LA, the car was wandering and we couldn't even drive over 70 mph. I had to hold the wheel extremely tight to control the vehicle, which was freaking scary. Drove to a Big O Tire store in St. George and it turned out they added too much weight on the rear tires. The balance was COMPLETELY WRONG. The weight for the right rear should be 1.75 but they added 4, which was more than double... luckily we were safe driving about 300 miles to St. George. But it was indeed one of the most scary experiences I have ever had in my life and it was disappointing that people who you trust are not as professional as they're expected to be. read more

Went in for a Transmission and Coolant flush that they recommended and since my family and i were planning on traveling to CA for a week i agreed, no lights no issues or anything with the car just regular maintenance i wanted to get done for the road trip, next minute, they were done paid for the service and wasnt told anything except have a good day, got in the car, got onto the main road and less than 1 minute away while pressing on gas it wouldn't pick up so i turned into the nearest neighbor the oil pressure light came on and car was still not picking up, pulled into a drive way and the oil pressure light came on and car just shut off on me, called BIG O and they said bring it back so same issues going on the main road car wouldn't pick up speed and by the time i got to turn into their drive way car shuts off so they come out to help push car up, they said they will go and see what the issue is and give me a call, 2 days almost 3 days pass so i call to see what was the hold up and they say "car wont turn i need a new engine" mind you this is a 2019 Nissan Pathfinder with less than 120k miles on it, nothing wrong with it no lights on everything perfectly fine until i took it to BigOs, they quoted me about no more than $9600 that would be for a New Engine and 3 Days worth of labor they couldnt compensate me for the issue, couldnt help me with a tow, Chris at the front desk said "they are not a shop" they pointed fingers at Walmart because thats were i get my oil change done and said "CarFax doesnt show walmart doing anything to your car" ... just flipping great! read more

I went in because I was having problems with my tires for weeks!! I had gone to a different shop and they kept telling me it was something with my tire pressure sensor and I kept thinking there has to be something wrong with my actual tire? The sensors kept coming back on after I put air and it keeps popping up but they just kept blaming the tire pressure sensor! Armando from Big O Tires ACTUALLY HELPED ME!! Turned out there was a NAIL IN MY TIRE!! It wasn't my sensor being faulty!! As a girl its always overwhelming going in to get your car look at! But the nice man who helped me figure out what was wrong with my car made the experience so much smoother and didn't make me feel like and idiot!!!! read more
