I had a slow leak on my truck rear tires. They investigated the issue and found the problem. As I waited for my tire to be fixed, I listened to the staff working with customers. Very professional and helpful. As a person that travels the roads, finding a reliable and honest business is worth making a review about for others. read more

Hands down, the best family owned tire store out there! Prices are good. The staff is always friendly and they know how to mount tires without scratching your rims! Had to file a warranty claim on a set of tires and the nice lady made it easy to do! I will not let anyone else touch my rims! read more

Great place, I had a flat on my sprinter van to fix a write up an expensive, helpful, courteous Brock follow up a mask if you ever need any in Salida!! read more

these guys could not fit me in because they were so busy. Wanted me to come back in three weeks. Also, at $120 an hour for labor, they are the most expensive in town, alongside Craigs downtown. I went to Anderson automotive on Highway 50, after being referred by a local. Great experience and only $90 an hour for labor. They got me right in and did a professional job. Great experience! read more

Mixed bag. They HAD the RV tire I needed, but didn't clarify I needed to drive the RV in initially on the phone. On a hot day, I had to drive an EXTRA hour PLUS due to the lack of leading helpful info. I was allowed to bring the dogs inside (due to heat), but took nearly 15 min to even get attention while they were in the car (engine on) while the gal was on the phone...who still then just passed me a bit asking 1 or both tires. From the price, she gave me the wrong tire (8 ply versus 6 ply). The "saving my place in line" for my drive turned out to still put the walk in guy behind me first in line. I'm glad they carried the tire and let the dogs come in...and eventually was talked to like an actual human being at the end. I'm hoping the Saturday before the 4th weekend was just a poor showing due to extenuating circumstances/staffing. read more

Amber and her family continue in their awesome father's footsteps. impressive small town service, and great at all things tires, as well as the UHaul segment of their business. Amber has gone out of her way more than once for us. Even when I had caused challenging issues related to UHaul, her positive and empathetic attitude never faltered. prepare to be well taken care of, the old fashioned, small town way. Rare, indeed these days... read more

Would have given 4-5 stars, BUT... When we picked up our vehicle it wreaked of cigarette smoke. Gross!! Probably won't be going back. Sad bc the have the tires we like and overall service is good. I hope they remedy this. read more

Great selection and quick and friendly. I've been buying tires from them for years and have never been disappointed.

I took by 2020 Ram 3500 Dually in for a rotation and alignment last month. I was told that the tires would have to be pulled off the wheels because of the dually. Ok, I expected that. I walked after about 90 minutes to check the truck and he had all the tires back on, no changing wheels. I was told that it turns out they didn't need to do that. Yesterday I went to have the tired aired up and found out that the TPMS were not moved when they rotated the tires. The TPMS is reading my front tires at 62, but the gage says they are 80. The TPMS says the 80 pound tires are on the inside rear. I would have thought this would be standard with a tire rotation. Move the TPMS to match to the tires you are putting into that location. Additionally, the rear outside tires were put on such that the valve stem points to the inside of the tire. I can't air them myself and was told that the tire would have to be pulled to air them. Instead of doing the job as I was told it needed to be done (at the higher rate they charge duallys) they just didn't complete the job correctly. I still paid the higher price for that should have been for the work they didn't do. Now I will be paying $120 to have all the tires pulled, TPMS reset correctly and wheels switched so I can air them without pulling them every time. Very disappointed. I just read through the Google reviews and it seems this is a standard MO they have with out of towners. That is surprising since the entire existence of most businesses in this town is for tourism. Most in the Nomad and RV world share their experiences and recommendations on FB groups. Sad that they aren't interested in our business. read more

Got an oil change and tire rotation. Service was prompt and they did a good job. Thank you, Big O

We were passing through town last week, and stopped to fill up on fuel for our side by side as well as to get propane. I left the gas cap sitting on top of the pump by accident and didn't realize until we were all the way to Grand junction. Thankfully they were more than happy to send it to me in Tucson Arizona there by saving me about 50 bucks for a new gas cap. They went above and beyond what most businesses would do read more

I'm here in town for business. I was in need of a full synthetic oil change. I called the day before and made an appointment. Once I arrived they were prompt friendly and even gave a complementary safety check to my vehicle. I'm very happy with the level of service I received. I would recommend them to anyone in the area for an oil change or other vehicle maintenance. read more

Big O Tire in Salida Co was recommended by a neighbor for not just tires but auto repair. So we took our old 98 Chevy Blazer in for some repair work. Mechanics are knowledgeable, friendly and honest. Service is fast, thorough and reasonably priced - what more could you ask for in a local business. They are now our 'go to' mechanics for all our vehicles and trailer. read more

So I got a text message all the way in California today from my mom who had a flat tire in the WalMart parking lot. With my dad recently having surgery on his knee this last week, it has been pretty stressful on my mom and this was one thing she didn't need to deal with at this moment. After feeling really frustrated, with other service providers in Salida, she decided to call Big O where she happened to purchase the tires. The manager at the time had another person out, so he decided to go to my mom and help her within 30 minutes when others wanted her to wait over two hours! Because I'm a manager myself in retail, I wanted to post this compliment on Yelp and to say thank you to the manager who assisted her! She's already messaged the whole family! read more

Big O Tires - Tires Near Me - Salida, Colorado

These guys were amazing! I was having some call troubles on my way from Denver to Durango and every auto place was completely "swamped" and wouldn't even look at my car. I came to big o and the looked at it right away and went from being able to fix it tomorrow (and save me on overnight costs) to ordering the pet and fixing it right away. I couldn't be more grateful for these guys who showed my the problem so I knew exactly what they were talking about! read more

All the guys were so helpful, especially McCarney. He went out of his way to point out other things I need to watch out for on my car. They had me in and out in no time. Bonus points for the sweet kitty. Thank you guys for making our inconvenient flat tire much less of an inconvenience on our vacation. read more

We took our car in on our way back from a ski trip, and couldn't have been happier with the service. The tech explained exactly what had happened with the tire, showed my husband where the issue was, and fixed it - free of charge since we'd had a bad experience at a shop (unconnected) in Crested Butte. Even though our previous experience was by no means their fault, they still took great care of us. read more

I just wanted to give a shout out to the shop for helping me out today after I gouged the sidewall on one of my tires in town on a curb, rendering it unsafe to drive on. Had just checked out of my hotel on vacation, planning to do one more outing before driving home, and I'm sitting there pondering my situation, wondering how it is going to turn out. I stop into the shop, they find me a replacement tire for a very good price, and father installs it himself in about 30 minutes and I'm on my way. Thanks for saving my weekend, I am so grateful! read more

All of the front desk people were very pleasant and helpful. We brought our car in for alignment, and at the completion of the work they gave us a printout explaining in detail what they found and what they fixed. They took care of our car in a very short time. They also gave us a free ride over to the coffee shop so that we could wait in comfort and I could get a latte. read more
