I drive many miles for work and haven't had time to get an oil change so with an hour and a half to spare I called around, with no luck, until I called Big O and got Edward. I asked if they had time to take me in and after a few questions and because I'm visiting from far away, he told me to come in! Edward is very personable. His care and concern for my safety is very much appreciated. Listening to him deal with his customers from the lobby, it's evident that he truly cares. $100 to plug two tires? there was a truck traveling in front of me that lost the garbage can full of junk, and I picked up two screws and nails as a result for this a hole &$@! not strapping down his load Anyway big o quoted me $50 a tire to plug it. then heblooked at it and said I needed a new tire because it was too close to the side wall. I beg to differ. (By the way, these are brand new tires ) I've plugged my own tires, it takes five minutes Obviously I could not because I was in Healdsburg and I live in SantaRosa. I told him it was flat and I was down to 12 pounds of air and he never offered to give me some error so I could make it home. That's just an easy customer service miss there. I just needed my license plates changed, DMV expected me to do it myself but old (IL) plates were rusted on, so I was getting a little desperate. Not only did Big O do the job (and refused payment), the manager even came out with a razor blade and scored the stickers so they couldn't be pulled off in one piece. DISHONEST. Brought my truck in for a scheduled oil change. They rotated the tires, great. They brought my truck around and one of the wheel caps was missing and broken off. It is so glaringly obvious... You cannot, not see it. When I asked, they said, "It was like that"!!! I drive my truck every day. I know it wasn't like that. Just fess up. It's a $20-$30 replacement. It was kind of like that scene in "Liar, Liar"... almost humorous. Don't go here. If they can lie about that... cannot trust these folks. read more

Well, not too much to say, other than I probably won't be going back to Big O for a good ol' tire rotation and oil/filter change again. Not a warm, friendly environment; maybe they were "tired" (pun alert). Pretty much just matter-of-fact order taking. However, the service writer (SC) never mentioned that they were going to put in synthetic motor oil -- didn't ask me if I wanted it, didn't suggest it (the Subaru service manual says that either regular or synthetic is approved for the vehicle). Nor did he tell me in advance what the total bill would be (okay -- maybe my bad for not asking). I discovered the $83 synthetic oil charge after reviewing the bill later. Props to them for informing me my tires were getting near replacement time (winter rains, after all). I checked the tread depth after I got home, and although they were worn, they weren't that close to being worn out. However, I took head to their advice and, once Michelin CrossClimate 2s were on sale at Costco, I had new "shoes" for my Outback... saving ~$340 vs the Big O-quoted Hankook Kinergy tires in the process. read more

Just had 2 tires changed out on my Corolla this morning and I had an overall positive experience (I would give a 4.5 if that was possible). I called the day before to inquire about an estimate and I was quoted the most reasonable price compared to approx 8 other companies that I contacted. Pros: -all the staff was friendly -great pricing -great range of products available -estimate was honored -office was clean and inviting -restrooms were fully stocked and clean -they have a coffee shop, comfy chairs, and a television in the waiting area Cons: -long wait. This is my only complaint as I had an appointment for the replacement of the tires and it took almost 2 hours to get the job done. They did seem very busy with a constant flow of customers. read more

I was coming from out of town and my service light came on. Big O Tire's was nearby and i decided to come in. I didn't have an appointment but Ethan was able to help me. He said they're quite busy and mostly appointment based but he assisted and got me back on the road within less than an hour. I've been to this location a few times. Service is typically good. Today one of their employees who does the work on your car was extremely rude. He yelled "get the f*ck out of here bro" at me. Parking lot was full of cars with nowhere to park so I parked on the side of the building in front of where they work on the cars. There was plenty of room next to me to go around (2 car width). He was in a car behind me looking to pull it in the garage and then continues to honk at me and yells out the window waving his hands in the air. Then he finally realizes he can go around he speeds off driving the customers car roughly into the garage and slamming on the brakes. I would be upsetting if I saw them drive my car like that. He then gets out of the car still yelling at me and staring. He goes on to yell "get the f*ck out of here bro" He was a younger white guy with a beard and a bit overweight. I would not give this location service while that employee is still there. A good employee would have walked over and asked me to move if it was necessary and offered a solution. Great place to go with friendly staff that are super efficient. Needed tires for my Lexus and got them way cheaper than the dealer. They didn't try to upsell me an alignment when I did not need one (the dealer kept telling me to get one). I also work in the automotive industry and know how dealerships work so it was refreshing to be helped by people who care. I'll be bringing my fiancées 4Runner in for tires soon! read more

My fiancé came to this location to have her AC recharged. She took time off work to drive from Santa Rosa to the Healdsburg location because she thought they treated her well and she was quoted $219 to have this done. When she arrived they told her they didn't have the Freon in stock and she had to drive to Sebastopol to get the work done, even though she called ahead. So, she drives to the Sebastopol location and all of a sudden the work is $600. I don't understand why the Healdsburg location would not have told her this BEFORE taking time off to drive to Sebastopol. This is a bait and switch practice and extremely deceptive. I called the manager of this location and he was condescending and tried to blame my fiancé and I for their shady practice. He tried to say it was an online appointment when my fiancé was talking to him on the phone with me stand right next to her. I NEVER review things online. I went out of my way to write this review. My fiancé came home crying after this unethical interaction. Also, I called the corporate Big O customer service line and they told me they would address this but never gave me any expectation of when or how I would hear back. I have never liked or trusted Big O due to my experiences in the past but, my fiancé has been a loyal customer of this organization her whole adult life. Even when I tried to get her to go somewhere else she still came to Big O. Now I will help her make sure to NEVER use Big O again. Some things never change: Read Cecile I.'s Yelp review of this place from 7/28/19. Fast forward to June 21, 2021: I had the exact same experience. I showed up with a flat tire that needed repair. Ericka said I needed four new tires, that the flat was too worn to repair. The 4 tires costed $399.96 without tax. But wait! There's more: $100 to Mount and Balance, $20 for Nitrogen (which is proven to be useless), $30 tire disposal fee, $40 Tire protection plan (not discussed but automatically slapped onto the Quote), $110 Wheel alignment fee. Grand total was $692.87. I went to their competitor in town Ceja Tires. They didn't sell me the nitrogen (atmospheric air consists of 71% nitrogen) nor the wheel alignment fee. They didn't automatically slap on the tire protection plan. They told me I didn't need an alignment and one of my tires didn't need to be replaced. Ericka at Big O must be paid by commission. I can sniff out a scam artist when I catch a whiff. read more

The new owner Sean is not the friendliest guy, terrible customer service. I bought 4 new tires and when I walked in he just gave me the quote and a pen, he did not tell me what cost was, what the cost included or anything. I read through everything and then signed. Once they were done installing the tires, again they did not go over warranty information or tire rotation or anything that was included with my purchase. I had to ask all the questions I feel like I'm spending almost $1400, they should have way better customer service and explain what is included with the purchasing the tires there. read more

The man at the counter was very rude. He kept me waiting until I actually had to walk up to the counter to find out if my car was ready. There were two people sitting at the checkin counter and only one person helped customers, the other just sat there staring at the screen. A tire purchased from Big O exploded three weeks after purchase. They replaced it for a small service charge.

If I could give them a zero, I would!! I went into to Big O tires on Saturday to a tire fixed that was constantly losing air. I waited for an hour until the guy came and said it was a nail that caused the leak. They patched , t and it was good to go. I paid $45 dollars and left. On Sunday, I noticed it was low again, so I went back, and of course, they were closed! It's so frustrating. I put air into it and waited for the next day. On Monday, I went back and told them that it was still losing air and to check it out. They took the car and checked it out and said that they must have not filled it up all the way and that it was up to the correct pressure. So on Wednesday, it was FLAT, so I decided to to Les Schwab in Windsor and have them take a look at it. They told me that Big O patched over the nail and did not remove it. They repacked the tire and did not even charge me. I went back to Big O to get my money back, and the guy in charge told me that couldn't have happened and wanted to waste more of my time to remove the tire and inspect it. I walked away. Big O is not a respectful or responsible place!!! I will avoid it at all costs. That's the last $45 I will give them. read more

Alright where to start, the in person experience isn't bad. The employees are very nice, friendly and somewhat knowledgeable. I came here for an oil change and get my tire rotation. They wouldn't do the rotation for the tires. They said they were too low. I had to get new tires now not a big deal idc I got the tires and they did my oil change. However I just don't appreciate that the work doesn't match the same enthusiasm for when they're trying to sell you the stuff. When the kid called back to confirm with me that it was OK to do my front tires and let me know a couple other things. I made sure to double check with him that they would top off all of my fluids and he told yes. I know that my brake fluid is at the halfway point and it needs to be filled. Is that something you guys will top off for me and he proceeded to tell me yes. When I got home, I popped my hood checked my oil. Thankfully it was filled to the proper level. Noticed my washer solution was not filled in was left Open. brake fluid was not topped off. You could tell. They definitely spilled oil all over the top of my engine and didn't do the greatest job of cleaning it up. For $570 do you think they would put a little bit more care and effort into the work that they produce.... Would highly recommend going to finchers instead. read more

I can't say ebought good things about Big-O!! They are all about service!! I rolled in with a flat tire yesterday on my way to two interviews--super stressful! I told him to throw another tire on it so I could get out of there fast. Rick, the owner, had a quick look at the flat, told me 20 minutes, and I got out of there in 15! Not only that, it was a tire repair, and at no cost! Here I was thinking it would cost at least $100, and there was no charge. I'm bringing him and his team a bottle of wine tomorrow!! My car was taken in to check on a single tire that had a leak. Turns out there was a screw in the inner sidewall of the tire and would need to be replaced. The technician then proceeded to inform me that all four of the tires needed replacing because they had very little tread left. The tires only had 11,000 miles on them (FACT), and upon my own inspection with a tread measurement tool, I did not need a new set of tires (FACT). I'm guessing they saw a dude with a shiny BMW X3 and they figured they could make a quick buck off of me. Fortunately, my car has run flat tires and they didn't have that same model in stock, I decided to leave and go elsewhere. You've been warned. read more

If I could give these guys no stars I would. I live local to this shop and the fact that they are closed on the weekend when everyone does errands absolutely blows my mind. This shop is missing out on so much business and the owner of this location is clearly manipulated by the employees if he's ok with not being open during the busiest time in this town. As for tires - they don't care what you want or need - they push whatever they have in their inventory on you and when you ask about a certain tire they act like it can't be found. That's funny because I just ordered and received the exact tires I asked for. It took three days to get them, but the fact that I found them when they said they aren't made and aren't available anywhere in the country - is a big fat lie. I don't like liars and I don't like men that have attitudes every time I've been in this location. You guys are loosing a lot of business because of the older gentleman that has a horrible attitude and lies to all of the potential customers that come in there. I'm going to make a suggestion to the owner because I know you look at your reviews. Get rid of him and open up your doors on the weekend. At least Saturdays and watch and see how much more business you get. Do those two things and you'll see better numbers at your location - guaranteed. I'm taking my new tires to America's Tire and having them mount and balance them - where they don't have a piss poor attitude and they don't lie or try to scam you. Pathetic customer service and even worse attitude from a certain employee that anyone whose been here knows. You did in fact say you were checking the inventory of Americas Tire - so the fact that you are lying proves you're a lousy person and business owner. Your lies and your inability to satisfy customers will catch up to you and the fact that you use Covid as an excuse tell us all you're just another Guinea Pig. There is no such thing as covid - it's a bad flu and nothing more. Get your workers some proper protection and they wouldn't even have to worry. Also the fact that you mention what kind of car I drive is a absolute joke considering half the people in this town drive the same thing as me and they do it because of the incentives and the fact that our city has an amazing EV program that means I don't pay to drive my car - but you and your employees all get the privilege to buy that gas for asinine prices and that's why I own the car I do - I also drive it because I'm partially disabled and the money I save owning my car goes to my healthcare for the traumas I've had to face due to a drunk driver paralyzing me in an accident in 2003. Went in for new tires because the old ones had little tread left and we like being able to get service from other Big O franchises as we travel north on vacation. The price for the tires didn't include mounting & balancing ($70) or alignment ($110). I was asked if I wanted the new tires aligned and said "only if they need it." Since the old tires tracked true, the answer should have been, "You don't need alignment." But they "aligned" and added the charge to my bill anyway. I was told and expected it would take less than an hour to put the new tires on so when they hadn't called me to pick up the vehicle after an hour, I went over there. She said the tires were on but they were checking over a few other things and it would be ready soon. I sat outside for another half hour and it was finally driven out of the workbay so I went in to pay. She gave me a total and I was ready to hand her a card but asked to see the bill first as it was $966 although the price for the tires was only $608. She said she couldn't print the bill until after I paid, but offered to let me look at her screen. There was an extra $80 for an extended warranty that I hadn't authorized and didn't want, a large charge for alignment as well as the charges that had been quoted to me in writing which included "nitrogen" ($20), Mounting and balancing and a "tire disposal fee" $15. The thing that caused me to completely lose confidence in their honesty and good intentions was the next item they printed out: a work order for 17 items totaling $2,073. I was warned that some of the things they found could mean danger when driving on the freeway and they recommended having them done right away. I looked around at the empty work bays and wondered if they were desperate for business. The oddest thing was my pickup had just been serviced by its regular mechanic who always checks brake condition, steering and transmission especially carefully. Big O said I needed (among other things) Transmission filter and fluid service-----------$265 Replace steering gear mounting (4.5)--------- 630 New rear brake shoes and hardware---------- 250 Replace rear axle bearings and seals----------400 Resurface rear brake drums, fluids and oils--250 Shocked by the amount of work they proposed, I drove over to my regular mechanic who confirmed that he had just serviced or checked every part they listed and none needed repair or replacement. Indeed, the steering and brakes worked perfectly and no fluid could be seen leaking onto the brakes from supposedly torn brake shoes. Oh yes, he also confirmed that alignment was a complete waste since the old tires tracked true. read more
