Been taking multiple vehicles here since they opened. Most of the time the service is what you would expect. However had an issue where after doing an oil and cabin filter change , the AC was making a very loud noise. Took it back to them and they said they couldn't identify / fix the issue. After some internet You Tube searching, I accessed the fan under the glove box myself and found a leaf in the fan. They probably had vacuum attachments to fix the problem a lot easier but . . . Whatever. Also had an issue where I asked about issues and alignment on my truck and they were like "yeah, the inside of your tires are basically bald" but never heard a word from them about it even though they were the only ones servicing my vehicle for about 3 years. Went in to the "new place" to leave 8 loose wheels and have tires swapped. 2 employees were in the phone and none greeted, or acknowledged me when I came in. No "we'll be with you in a minute". I stood by the empty counter so not o be right in the employees face while they were in the phone. A third employee came into the waiting room and told a "customer" by name that they would check him in. The customer responded to the employee by name as well. Sounded like they might be friends. That customer was standing by the chairs. I was completely ignored. Then a currently came in through the front door and was acknowledged by one of the guys that was on phone and proceeded to help them. I was on a trip from California to Nevada for work and I got a flat tire about 20 miles from my destination. Unfortunately, these new cars don't come with spare tires so to make a long story short, I had to stop about every 5 miles using a little electric pump to pump up the tire to keep moving. I needed to find a tire store close to where I was headed and I found Big O Tires in Gardnerville NV. I walked into the office and was greeted by Angela Lister I told her what happened and she said "no problem, we got you" A technician named Gauge, promptly came out, looked at the tire, said "yeah I'll be able to plug that" he slowly rolled the car around to the garage and within about 20 minutes had the tire all fixed. The best part of the story is, they didn't even charge me! I walked back to the office and asked Angela if they accepted my fleet management card because it's a company car and she said, with a huge smile on her face, "no charge I wanted to get you back on the road as fast as possible" Wow Amazing service actually does still exist in the world. You just have to be lucky enough to find it like I did. I know Gardnerville is a bit out-of-the-way. Every single person there we interacted with was overly helpful. From the young man that walked across the street with us to jump the car and get it over to the shop to the man that checked the battery before replacing( which ended up not being necessary) to the front desk guys who dropped everything to help us. I want to do an update to the recent review i left on Yelp for my Local Big O store. After My review i heard directly from the New manager Randall who had just taken on the promotion and was not there the day of my service. Randall invited me to come back and let him personally review what happened, what my car was experiencing. His professional and personal service was such a nice approach. Randall Did a complete diagnostic of the issues with both my sensors and my alignment issue experienced after getting the new tires. The Store was busy but he got me in and he worked with his team to get a real analysis of the issues and provide me a solution. He went the next step and made certain that i felt respected and listened to, as well as offering a very favorable financial solution. Then today he day after called me to verify the car was too my liking and to let me know that in his off time last night he looked up an issue with my airbag light on the dashboard. The only reason this crap hole gets two stars is because of Angela at the front counter. Went in for a couple of different services with two different cars. The attitude behind the counter is one of them assuming you don't have a brain in your head. I've worked in all types of auto shops in the past and never could treat people like these guys do. The owner is quite often. I can tell where the employees get their tude. He's a typical franchisee. Instead of quality customer service, the focus is on up-sales. The up sale are always the most expensive options, without any options for a less expensive option. I hope this franchisee ends up out of business since he clearly doesn't understand what customer service is, nor does he understand how to do business in a small town. I don't have a recommendation for an alternative shop, unfortunately, but I won't be back to Big O Tires in Gardnerville. I made an appointment for 9:00 am to have my car aligned and the tires rotated. I arrive 10 mins early and checked in. after sitting in the lobby for two hours I decided to check on my car. The service person went in the back to check. When he came back he told me they would start working on my car as soon as they were finished with the one on the rack. After two hours of waiting they had not even started working on my car. They knew I was sitting there and yet not one of the three people working the front never told me that even though I had an appointment that I was going to have to wait hours for the work to be done. What is the point of making an appointment if you are still going to have to wait. The funny thing is one of the employees was talking about a new shop in town and saying they were not worried about business because they were going to win based on customer service. If this is what they think is good service I don't think they stand a chance of winning. read more

5+... My wife was leaving for So. Cal. and I noticed a nail in the tire. Austin, the store manager in Gardnewrville, on a Sunday, had the flat fixed and rotated for her. She had the original battery, 2018 Enclave, and I wanted a battery for safety reasons. Austin did not have her model in stock so he ordered one for her. I returned 3 weeks later with her car and Austin installed the battery and didn't charge labor because he felt bad it wasn't in stock. Very impressed with the Austin's concern and service from Big O Tires! We went to So. Cal. a couple weeks later to visit family and got a flat. While at a tire store I was not sure about the size and brand they wanted to sell me. They also recommended buying all 4 tires for "safety" reasons. I called the Gardnerville Big O Tires and spoke with Angela. Angela was extremely helpful with advice on size and brand and Angela suggested just 2 tires and put them on the rear. Upon returning to Gardnerville I went to Big O Tires and spoke with Angela thanking her for her help. Angela gave me an estimate for 2 tires and 2 premium batteries. I came back a week later for the tires and batteries. Chris, helped we and was polite, personable, and professional. I purchased the same 2 tires filled with nitrogen. The Tires were $100 less than the same tires I bought in So. Cal. without nitrogen fill. Chris had my other 2 tires filled with nitrogen at no charge. The 2 batteries were also installed. In less than a month I've had numerous contacts with the employees at Big O Tires in Gardnerville. Everyone was pleasant and professional. It should also be mentioned, that while seated in the waiting room, I noticed the same courtesy and professionalism given to other customers.
