I had a reservation for 8 o'clock in the morning, showed up and said they could not find it (even though I had the email confirmatio). I askedfor one tire with a slow leak to be repaired and all four tires to be rotated and balanced. I was called and told I needed an air filter, cabin air filter, and brake flush (all were done less than 2000 miles ago). I said no and then when I went to pick up the car, they stated they could not find the leak, but that they rotated a balance all the tires. I paid but none of the tires were rotated or balanced. Only one tire was removed, and that was the one with the slow leak they did not repair. It is obvious that the front driver one was the only one touched by dirty hands and an impact. read more

This place is horrible. The service is just as lousy as the grimy facility indicates it would be. They could have killed a member of my family with their negligence. I won't go into detail here about it because I don't want to deal with them at all about any of this, but let me just say that a tire place should know how to at least put a wheel on properly and safely. Bad experience!!! The customer in front of us after paying and receiving his vehicle came back in to report 3 lug nuts were missing on his tire. The crew was unprofessional working around the vehicles holding unlite cigarettes. Some of them looked angry and not approachable. The manager made excuses for the missing lug nuts. I watched the technician drive our car in the bay and just sat in it for over 10 minutes. You could tell due to the break lights were on. They said our rim was bent after they put new tire on but it wasn't bent before we had them work on it. Was concerned that our lug nuts weren't tight so we drove to a discount tire near by and they check it and found 4 of our lug nuts were not tightened. Our wait was over 2 hours and they didn't complete the job correctly and it was a safety hazard with the lug nuts not tightened all way. Don't go there!!! read more

I never gave them permission to do their so called safety inspection. raised hell too. my daddy raised me so I am not stupid when comes to cars. trying tell me need new tires and all. nope plug the tire. fast forward 2 maybe 3 weeks I hear this sound an cant figure out for life of me. continue get worse, my gut told me something wasn't right. took my jeep to good year. Brought my car there for an alignment, Less than a month later I'm driving down the road and my tire falls off Causing $1400 worth of damage. Come to find out they hired a mechanic who was charging for work not done.. now they are ignoring my phone calls. The district manager has blocked my emails. They won't make things right. Local gas station recommended Big O when I was traveling through Frankfort and found myself with a nail in my tire. They got me in right away, and despite it taking them the better part of an hour to get the nail out, they patched it up and sent me on my way without charging me a penny. New customer been spending many of hundreds of dollars since August 24 head light went out brought a twin pack stopped in said they were gonna have to charge me 30 minutes to an hr service according to the Manuel. I ask her haven't you changes the light in RAV4 surely it can't be that extreme. So I left went down the street found myself at the wrong place and a good neighbor company popped them in I offer to pay him it took all of about 3 minutes to change both. I called to let them know that being a good neighbor means everything I called and I'm sure she the ASM who I was telling my good neighbor story she hung right up on me. The employees are nice and friendly, however the prices were outrageous. they wanted to charge over $230 to mount and balance 4 tires and discard 4 tires. these were loose tires and wheels as well, so they didn't even have to remove them from the vehicle and there was no tpms sensors to replace. Now this could be a corporate issue on what they're "supposed to charge" because they knocked it down to $157 "which is still to much in my opinion" after some complaint. I guess im going to have to start going to locally owned garages again. Lesson learned read more

Richie Wilkins and the Big O Tire crew saved my life today! It was over 90 degrees, I had just left my house and within two blocks I pulled over, my left front tire completely flat. Being it was Saturday, and a small town, hardly anyone was open, or closing early. I needed to get my car towed and the tire repaired. I arranged for the tow, and thank goodness Big O had regular Saturday business hours until 5pm. Richie reassured me that they would take care of me, if my car arrived by 2pm he would still be able to take care of me. Everyone was kind and courteous, I waited for my vehicle and it was ready in the time estimated. The service guy who repaired my tire was friendly and respectful and told me my job was easily done, and he was glad to do it. Big 0 then comp'd me the repair, and a free car wash, saying the company had a special on until 4th July. They apologized for the wait. I was grateful to wait and thankful for their help. The nicest bunch of folks working here. I couldn't be more relieved to be back on the road and will come back again, and highly recommend this business. I had a tire blow out on my way to work. I put air in it, 3 times as I frantically searched for a tire place. I was freaking out until that angelic sign reading Big O Tires appeared in the distance. I needed tires, they had tires. It was 7:30 am. They didn't open for 30 minutes. That didn't matter, they got my tire size and info and priced my tires. They were super nice and professional. I just left the business after waiting for over an hour, smelling cigarette smoke from behind the counter where the attendant was trying to smoke and manage customers (real nice touch for a professional business) and the straw that broke the camels back...when a lady comes in driving a corvette and she goes to the front of the line (I had already been there 45 minutes). Worst service ever! They offer a "pick-up" service but failed twice (1st was acknowledged online and by text, but the store could not verify it, so they never showed; 2nd was simply never acknowledged after multiple attempts). Taking the vehicle in after two weeks of failed appointments with them, they FAILED to do the brakes/ rotors, and FAILED to call to say they couldn't do it, but sure charged $87 for an oil change (the most I've ever paid for such). Unable to do my brakes before the next week, I took my car to Jiffy Lube the following day, where they did the job within 3 hours and charged me over $100 less ($660) than the quoted $778 from Big O. read more

Of course I go to Big O Tires to get tires, they advertise online I can get tires for $93.99 a tire for my size, and when I get there it's $134.99. I still got the tires, then they call me and say i need some tie rods and sway bar bushings, so they couldn't do the free alignment that was promsed by the lady selling the tires. To do that they want to charge over $1000.00. I fix my own vehicles so I didnt go for that. When I got to check out they added a roadside warranty I didn't ask for, that's over $100 but I opt'd out of that, that's not even it, got in an argument with a over confident manager, not your best choice by far not to mention they took 4 hrs when quoted 45 mins. Members of my family have purchased tires from this location 3 times. Every time we suddenly have problems with our tire sensors the day we leave. Once we had to come into the store 4 times before they admitted they broke it. The other w times we have been told they are old and broken and need to be replaced. Every experience they worked when we brought the vehicle to the shop, but every time they were broken when we left. Awfully coincidental. If something that you're tired techs are handling breaks while it is in your shop you should take responsibility and fix it. But you have chosen not to. Yesterday was my first experience going to Big o for an oil change and it was honestly absolutely horrible. First off I thought I was going to spend maybe 40 to 50 dollars by the time I was done and I ended up paying 79 dollars but hey fool me once shame on me right? You all went on and on about how i needed the dexos oil and how i had to have the highest service done well I fount out later on after going to Walmart that I could of got 6 quarts of dexos approved oil for about 30 bucks. You all charged me 53 dollars for just the oil lol wow. Also the price of the highest service oil change was 62 and some change and the lady asked for 79 dollars and I asked what was the other 17 dollars for and she said your car needed one more quart of oil cause it took 6 instead of 5. Well damn that extra bottle must of been made of gold for being almost 20 bucks but that's still not the worst part. When I was givin my keys back my ring holder had been ripped open my house key wasnt even on the ring it was separate and I had to put it back on myself and my church membership card was fount out in the garage. Why in the hell was my key ring taken apart! When I turned my keys in they were perfectly fine but when I got them back the ring was literally bent out to were everything could fall off. Was someone trying to take my house key or copy it or something like that??? I am an honest guy and I would give someone the benefit of the doubt but all this was way to much I will never be back and I'll make sure to let everyone know about my experience in social media and in person. You all need to get your shit together before you don't have a business anymore. Also I forgot to mention but while I was checking in and out there was multiple phone calls taken right in the middle of talking to me first. You should finish helping the customer your already with before you answer all these calls. If you need the calls answered so quickly then have some one for that on the side not the people at the desk helping the customers check in and out. That's unprofessional. I walk into this store today hoping to get me a new tire and an oil change ! I have confidence these people have my best interest at heart because well I trust that they'd treat me with the same respect I treated them today . However, I was wrong . Although my tire was out on their property they decided to lie to me about my oil , feeding me some lie that the previous business I went to to get my oil changed stripped by oil pan . They plugged it up "temporarily " and told me I was ok to go . So while my trust was still in them , I leave .. and living in riverbend it didn't take long for me to park and then get out all to be surprised by a huge puddle of fresh oil circling my vehicle . Enough to keep me from going to work tomorrow, mine you, I'm a single mom with two kids , who works her ass off at a Dr office to be dicked around . Hope nothing Health wise goes wrong . You may need my services and I assure you they will be correct ! Not only did they lie to me , but they offered to fix it with a fee of 119.00 for an oil pan that is about 44.00 normally and 152.00 for 1.8 hours of Labor . Which is bizarre because I don't know anyone who takes that long putting an oil pan back on but that's none of my business ;) The moral of this story is not only did they lie. And cheat me of my money , they put my car at risk as well and put them liable for anything that happened after leaving their facility. No Certified-well Knowleged mechanic would let their customer leave my temporarily "plugging" it and telling them it should last for a little while . They offered to tow it back to their facility and told me it would be a 40 dollar tow . Mind you, I could have listen my job for this as well luckily my job is understanding but anywhere else and it may not be the case. I tried addressing this to whom I believe was the General Manager Ms Rachel Parker . Nothing of course was done so in my defense, My next step is directly to corporate and then to the manager . Big O's in Frankfort KY are some of the most incompetent human beings I've ever had to deal with. I went in today & spoke with a girl about a staple that was in my tire (a 10 minute conversation because she was curious if both prongs were stuck & informed me if they were they have may have issues patching it). I told her both prongs were stuck & they pulled me back at around 1230. 1 o clock it seemed as if they were finished. The girl comes in & tells me that they fixed my rim because it was leaking but they we're going to have to pull my car back in because they didn't realize it has a staple in the tire. THE WHOLE REASON I WENT TO BIG O'S WAS SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE OF THE NAIL! But they're tire people :) Don't trust them, I will not be back! read more

Big O, Big disappointment! Called for a quote to get my wheels aligned on my Audi A4. Was told could do it in a couple hours for $129.00. Called back to make appointment, got a price of $93.00. Dropped off car to be worked on. Also asked for a tire rotation and balance. No one called when it was ready. I had to call them. Picked up the car. To my complete disappointment, was told they couldn't complete the alignment, but they did align the tow, and rotated and balanced tires. My cost was $83.97. They told me the cambers also needed alignment at a cost of $85.00/hr. but couldn't tell me how long it would take. Audi of Lexington will complete the alignment for $159.00 in less than two hours. I thought $129.00 was a good deal for a local service company like Big O. So I left aggravated, dissatisfied, and with car still not in proper alignment, still pulling to the right, and now two tires they say are bad are now making a terrible noise while driving. What happened to the original quote and assurance they would get the job done. My car is driving worse than when I dropped it off. The least they could do is complete the alignment as they said they would, and do it right, for the original price quoted. Doug Powers, Owner, I expected more. I was in desperate need of new tires on my car. As a disabled single mother, I was cash strapped. Big O Tires did everything in their power to help me get financing. When I did get some financing, I could only afford the very least expensive tires(30,000 mile tires) but the owner gave me a helping hand and a very good deal on 60,000 miles tires so that I could afford them. They did a high quality job in a very timely manner. My car was just a slight bit out of alignment and they even fixed that for me! i will never buy tires from anyone other than Big O tires. They even sent me a thank you postcard in the mail. Now THATS great customer service! read more

Very disappointed in Big O Tires. Bought a 2016 Dodge Hellcat SRT on 5-23-18 and at some point while driving the vehicle home, we picked up a screw in the left drivers side tire. Being new to Kentucky, we decided to take the car to Big O Tires in Frankfort on 5-24-18 to repair the tire. Our vehicle was in mint condition including all the wheels/rims as we owned the vehicle less than 24 hours. Upon completion of the repair, we immediately noticed damage to the wheel that was in mint condition prior to the tech doing the repair. I immediately went to the service desk and spoke to Rachel Powell expressing my concerns over the damage to our once pristine wheels. After some discussion, we were told to come back on 5-25-18 after 1pm to speak to the manager and as instructed we came back the following day. What a total waste of our time. Met with the manager (Matt Powell ??) and expressed our concerns over the damage to our wheel. I could tell almost immediately that this has happened frequently to this particular store in that he had made up answers for everything and had a 100 excuses of why the damage to our wheel was not their fault. I have a very critical eye when it comes to detail and there was no prior damage to these wheels prior to turning it over to the tire tech. The tire tech lied about the circumstances most likely to protect himself or his job. They do not take any responsibility for their actions (especially you, tire tech. You know who you are !!!) and have very poor character. I express to the manager that the damage was a direct result of "head drag" caused by the tech not paying attention or just not knowing how to properly deal with low profile tires. To this, he of course had no answer and went on to other false causes up to including pulling a Sharpie pen out and saying that someone had gone over the damage previously with a Sharpie (Really !!!! So ridiculous, the vehicle is in pristine condition including the wheels). "Head drag" occurs particularly in vehicles with low profile tires because the sidewalls tend to be stiff and they can exert enough force to flex the mounting head and cause it to touch the wheel (not supposed to come in contact with wheel), dragging the surface as the wheel turns on the mounter. If the tire tech doesn't notice or know what he is doing, this will cause a long scrape against the outer edge of the finish that can be very damaging to your wheel.Just a word of advice, stay clear of this tire store. Also, take pictures of your wheels prior to any service being done. This will protect you against dishonest people like Big O Tires in Frankfort KY. They have no integrity. If you care about keeping your wheels pristine this is definitely not the place to go. Very poor quality shop. Take your vehicle to a reputable business that is trained and experienced in what they are doing. I give this business 0 stars.
