Highly do not recommend. I made an appointment for my car to have a wheel alignment. Despite having an appointment and waiting for service, it was over 2 hours until they even got my car in the bay. Second problem: despite taking an appointment for a wheel alignment on my car, after checking my car and confirming that there was a problem with the alignment, I was told that they couldn't actually fix it. Why would they take an appointment on a car they couldn't service at a time they couldn't do the service? read more

Previously had this location remove nails from my tires twice. I had them replace one of my tires when it was flat (unrepairable) and the repair was timely. At the time, I worked right up the road so it was very convenient for me to just drop the car off and walk to work to let them do their thing. I have now moved to Loveland and just got another tire replaced (different one) from the Loveland location. I would recommend Big O to anybody having an issue with their tires. read more

Came in a year ago and bought a new tire. Had decent experience. Today 08/26/24 I came in as I wanted someone to look at a single tire to tell me if I need to replace it or not. Maybe a 2 minute thing. Employees seemed very unhappy. I waited in the lobby for about 10 minutes. No acknowledgment that I was there. Two guys were helping other customers. And one was walking around with a tablet. Finally someone asked how they could help. I simply requested that all I needed was someone to simply look at a tire to tell me if it needed replaced. a small quarter size divot in the side wall was concerning to me. The grumpy man stated it will be 1.5-2 hours before they could help and asked me to have a seat or come back. Terrible customer service. I will try again in a day or two then will move on to a different store. I'm sorry you all don't like your jobs. read more

I scheduled an appointment and selected 2 tires to replace my rear tires. When dropping off my vehicle I received verbal confirmation that the tires I selected would be installed on my car. Instead the 'Service Manager' had lower quality, incorrect load index, incorrect speed rated, and more expensive tires put on my car. I returned the next day to have the correct tires put on my car and had mistakes with both my warranty papers and my refund. Both service trips resulted in black grease stains to my car's interior even with a towel in place the second time. I will not recommend this shop to anyone. read more

10/10 would NOT recommend the Big O Tires on Mason St. My car wouldn't start so I had it towed to Big O because I bought my battery from them and wasn't sure if I needed to take it back to the same place since it's still under warranty. They called me and told me I needed a new alternator, battery, and quoted me for 3 hours of labor. Told me the alternator would be $450, which was a red flag and when I commented on how expensive that seemed, the tech (Nick) said "welcome to alternators". (I've bought an alternator for similar cars in the past and that, on top of a quick Google search told me that it was crazy overpriced. Not necessarily the tech's fault, I know they don't make the prices.) He also told me that he liked to replace the battery when there are alternator issues as it can damage the battery itself. No problem, it's still got 6 months under warranty, let's do it. Then he told me it would be $129 for the battery because it was close to the warranty ending. I told him that definitely wasn't right (I paid $129 for the battery brand new and had receipts for proof) and he did some "computer stuff" and magically dropped the price to $16. Total quote? Almost $1000 for a new alternator, battery and labor. I asked him not to do anything till I had a chance to get back to him and then contacted a local mechanic that my roommate knows through work. The local mechanic took a look and told me that my alternator was basically new (my fault for not remembering that I did have it replaced recently) so he was skeptical. When he tested it, sure enough it was charging at a perfect 14v. So he took out the battery and took it to the manufacturer for testing. Also perfectly fine. You wanna know what he did find to be the issue, though? THE CONNECTORS FOR THE BATTERY. Completely rusted out and allowing no charge to get through to the battery. Which, if Big O took the battery out to charge it, they 100% saw and were aware of. $100 later, my car is starting and running perfectly. As a woman, it is hard enough to find a mechanic to trust without dealing with this issue as well. Let alone just knowing that there are sheisty mechanics out there who are willing to blatantly lie to people about what they need. With my alternator functioning perfectly, would they have even replaced it or just left it in and somehow pocketed the money? Idk. I might be coming off as paranoid but honestly I'm just pissed off. Anyways, my advice is to avoid Big O in general, I've never had great service from them, but also specifically the one on Mason St. Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk. read more

This review is for the Big O tire compnay on S. Timberline rd., Fort Collins, CO. DON'T GO THERE, EVER! I made an appointment for Oct. 16, 2023 to have a tire repaired with a quote of $23, or for me as a return customer it was free. I was told it would take 30-40 minutes. After 45 minutes I went to the front desk which is not visiible from the customer waitng area. There was my car in the lot ready to go. No one had come to tell me this. Nor did they tell me they had installed a new tire without my permission for $55! Their excuse was that my tire repair was beyond repair because of a sidewall tear ( I see this was the same situatuion for another customer in for tire repair in another review- -conincidence?) . But they had no right to go ahead and put a new tire on! Obviously, they expected me to just accept this sitiuation and pay the fee. I was cruising down 287 on my way to Cheyenne when a gentleman on a motorcycle pulled up and told me that I had a flat. Surprised I pulled into the next parking lot immediately and swapped the flat for my spare. But I needed to get my tire repaired so I broke out the smart phone and settled on Big O. Not being from the area of having any advice on where to pick it was a shot in the dark. Simply put I absolutely made the right decision. Eli was the employee who greeted and took care of me. It was horribly obvious that I wasn't form the area and just passing through so in the back of my mind I was worried that I might get screwed over. I'm incredibly happy to report that this was not the case at all. I was treated with excellent customer service; my tire was patched for $20 and I left completely satisfied about 45 minutes after pulling in. I had just returned home at around 1130a and as I was exiting the car I heard the sound of air exiting the passenger front tire. I have had a slow leak before, but this was different. I grabbed our portable air compressor and went to take the cap off the tire stem to start pumping air into the tire and the whoosh got significantly louder. The needle inside the stem came out! I quickly put the compressor on and it was down to 13lbs. The tire is supposed to be full at 32lbs. While the tire was being filled with air, I called Big O and they said to bring the car by, even though they were short staffed and booked for the day (this happened on Saturday, the 7th). Luckily, the tire took the air and at 32.5 lbs I took off the compressor and quickly put on the cap. I could still hear air coming out slowly but I made it to Big O (I live less about a mile away). All the bays were full but they had me pull up as close to the bay as possible and they quickly started assessing the issue and even though they didn't have a bay open-they had completed the repairs in just a few hours. I have used this location for my tire repair needs ever since I moved to Ft. Collins several years ago and they always leave me impressed. The staff are always accommodating and provide great customer service. They are very knowledgable, and the pricing for services are very fair. I feel like the time they quote me for getting things done are very fair as well, based on how busy they are when I've called needing help without an appointment. If there is a star for worse than not good, I would be happy to rate it that way. I have been a loyal customer for years. I bought tires here, do regular oil changes, replaced my break, belt, etc. I have spent thousands of dollars. But today I was so disappointed. Waiting for an hour for an oil change and my car was still sitting in the parking lot. Nobody told me anything until I asked. I have decided to cancel and not to come back ever again! very bad customer service and you just lost one loyal customer. I will do business somewhere else for sure. Not recommend coming here, guys! I waited for a little over an hour and then inquired as to when my car would be done because my car had not been moved from its original parking spot. The employee said he would check. The brakes in my car lost their pressure and kept going all the way to the floor of the cars. Brought my car in for the free brake inspection to have them look at it. They returned the car saying everything looked and worked great. Later that night my brake pedal gave out completely and got stuck to the floor of my car without slowing me down or stopping. Brake to floor- car not stopping. Did a visual inspection of my car, on my own, to find a torn rubber seal on my wheel, fluid coating part of my master cylinder, and a very clearly ruined booster. Disappointed the techs didn't bring ANY of this to my attention. I understand it was a free inspection, but I Really question the competency of the workers here. read more

After 25k miles on a new set of tires Big O suggested I'm ready for a new set. What about the treadwear warranty?! "Oh, well, I suppose we could give you a discount on the new set". Seriously?! This is what I ran into when I took my wife's Explorer in for a tire rotation, balancing and wheel alignment. They forgot to do the alignment - sheesh. We had a great start with Big O, but over the last couple years we have been disappointed on several occasions. In fact we have bought four sets of tires in the past two years, the last set was purchased elsewhere as will be the next set. IMHO Big O has turned into a Turn-em and Burn-em operation. read more
