Scheduled a service appt (radiator flush) at 7:30 am on Tuesday providing Model of truck. (F250 2006 Super Duty Diesel). Got there, ready to go and mechanic a no-show. Rescheduled appt for Fri morning at 7:30 am. Just happened to be in area on Thursday, stopped in to see if they could add a service. They told me they don't work on my model truck. If hadn't stopped in, where they letting me show up again at 7:30 and then say oh by the way, we don't work on that F250???? (And don't bother with their online appt system). #BigOisaBigNO read more

They're quick to get you checked in but slow to get you out I've had several occasions where it's taking several hours just get a tire rotation they are good though if you have a tire emergency. read more

What a worthless tire shop. I called to see if I could get two tires mounted and an alignment done and the employee on the phone asks me if I already have the tires and I said yes. He then tell so that pme they can't do anything with customer provided tires and his alignment tech is leaving in 15min. Since when can't a customer bring in tires purchased elsewhere and why only have 1 alignment tech? I hope they go out of business having that type of service. read more

Got me in and out in a timely fashion, very respectful and receptive to my needs. They did a complete suspension verification (visual) and recommended I change tires before I head back to Houston. Sometimes they're on point sometimes they forget to rotate your tires. They didn't forget to charge me for it though.

Did online for tire repair and alignment. Fixed tire and communicated issue but missed alignment part of appointment. I could have waited but decided to reschedule for following week. Guy says I'm here at 7:30 we will get you in, no appointment needed. Hit nail straight in! Show up at 8:30 ( time change thing) Hour and half I'm on my way. Polite, respectful group here, nice to see and funny bunch of guys. Fix flat at no charge and do what they say with no BS. read more

I took my truck in because breaks were grinding. Attendant said all was good except clips were put in backwards which they corrected they sent me home free of charge. I thought that was great. Til the next day I lost my brakes. Huge leak and when my boyfriend took the brakes apart the drum broke and you can tell it was total metal on metal for a long time. These assholes were lazy and lied and put me in a very dangerous position instead of just being honest. read more

When it first opened it was great. Now it is as bad or worse than Forrest Tire. No calls when work is done, when you call to get the status you are given the run around and placed on hold for 30+ minutes while they find your "car." I was also told on a recent tire change I needed brakes all around my truck. Kinda funny how the front ones were changed out 30 days ago elsewhere. Unfortunately there aren't many other options in Carlsbad so you are stuck with high prices and poor service. read more

I am a Carlsbad local and have never had any luck with good service from Big O' Tires when it comes to tire service for my vehicles. My husband recently was hired to work for them. Within the last few days he had been harassed by an underage employee. He brought it up to Dominic the assistant manager, and he said he would have it handled. And yet my husband still came home with harassment stories and with assistant manager being a witness. Today he was not only harassed by both the underage employee but also the assistant store manager who repeatedly called my husband and other workers the N word today. My husband called the owner and he wasn't worried about any of it only the fact that we'd be leaving a review of what occurred. All incidences caught on camera. My husband will not be going back to work and if this review helps any other familes. You dont have to put up with harrassment and should not have to at a work place ever. Another business gone to crap or maybe its been like that the whole time. No wonder the locals know not to go there. read more

Came in at 5:55 pm with a leak in my rear tire. Even though they were about to close one of the technicians took a look at my tire and removed the nail that was stuck in it. They didn't charge me. Come on!!! Amazing! read more

I went to Big O Tires in Carlsbad because of a flat tire on my fifth wheel trailer. I was on my way to Big Bend Texas and noticed the flat on the my travel day. Anthony was on it and took care of me quickly. He and his wonderful crew fixed my flat with speed and quality work. I would recommend this location for your tire needs. read more

Frequently quicker and cheaper than the other Tire company in the middle of town, but there's still a little room for improvement.

I had been driving my daughter's truck while visiting and did not have a spare tire. The truck is a 1985 with 16" rims, tires for which are not as readily available as the 17's and up these days. After explaining my plight and showing the representative the truck, he told me they did not have what I needed in stock, however, he said a previous customer, with a truck like ours, had recently upgraded, leaving their old rims and tire behind. The rep led me to where the tires were stored and we discovered they were a good fit. The rep gave me one of the mounted tires, free of charge! I'm thinking dealers would just sell you new wheels and tires instead of going the extra mile. Very good experience. read more
