Bait & Switch warning! I made an appointment online and selected tires which website indicated were available at location. Upon arrival (for my set appointment time) I was told tires are not in stock but could be ordered. They then proceeded to recommend a lower graded tire for more money. The sales guy said their website has no way to know what they have in stock. Why did the website indicate the good deal was available at this location. Feels like a game. Very helpful. Went in for an oil change, while there I mentioned that I would soon need tires. They went out and looked at them and told me "I didn't need tires and that I had 50% tread life left on them. Very honest people. Could have easily pushed new tires on me. I had taken my 2003 GMC Safari van to have my air condition fixed in many places and no one could ever find the problem so I took it to big old tire and they did an excellent job. Exceptional & above and beyond service from Uriel! My husband was driving home from LA to the Bay Area and got flat in Lebec. Was under warranty so Hyundai towed his car to Hyundai dealership to repair/ replace tire. Dealership did not have it/ couldn't get it till Monday. I called Big O tires to see if they might have one in stock. I had very limited information (my husband who I was trying to help was out of pocket at this time) about the tire size and brand. Uriel who answered asked if he could call me back, while he did some research. 5 mins later he called back and said that the car had 2 tire sizes and they had both at the warehouse and could get it today. So I gave my husband the info -- unfortunately his car didn't have a spare tire and was stuck at the dealership. Big O tire sent Uriel to the dealership, to get the wheel, bring it back to Big O, replace tire, and delivery it back to Hyundai. Old fart at the front was going to charge me 40$ to repair a nail in the tire. Ridiculous. Do not get scammed here. He claimed "Once we take out the nail it's considered a "flat tire repair" we plug the hole from the inside" what an idiot. Whoever he is, needs customer service training. Horrible experience. I bought 4 tires for my car and printed the appt confirmation. Big O installed different tires, inferior to the ones I actually bought, and they confirmed their error. Then they said they would order the right tires and charge an extra $100 for shipping, and refused to refund the $50 deposit they charged me for the wrong tires. I spoke to the manager and got my $50 back, had them remove the wrong tires, and said I would buy tires somewhere else in the future. read more

I like Big O. They are a backup facility for me when my regular mechanic isn't available. They do great brake jobs, and they are really more than just tires. Big O is good at giving you a clear estimate and telling you what they will be doing before they start on the work. The waiting area is nice, and the staff there are really nice too. They are friendly and do their best to move with purpose. They seem to understand you have other things to do and respect your time. The only downside is, they are NOT cheap. They have set prices for things and their hourly rates are steep to me. They do good work, but it is on the expensive side. Overall, I really like this place if I can't get into my regular mechanic. They are really good and professional and don't take all day. I do recommend them. read more

I have been there three times now and the quality of work, customer service, attention to detail, and communication has been exemplary each time. I was able to get my car serviced and the necessary repairs found during service, completed the same day. Xavier took the time and trouble to show me what needed attention and repair/replacement efficiently, and using everyday language that I could access. I am satisfied with the service. I went in to have my rear shocks replaced and they noticed a split tire that was under warranty. I also mentioned a noisy front wheel and I drove with the mechanic who said it was a bearing. Took my car in a few weeks ago and got my control arms and struts replaced before going on my trip , while driving to San Francisco my control arm that was replaced came off and I was stranded on the side of the road till a tow truck came and towed us to the nearest Big O because I was told my parts were under warranty. So the nearest Big O was in Morgan hill. Mind you I'm 3 1/2 hours away on a Saturday. I called Bakersfield Big O to see if my warranty was good at any Big O and he said it was I explained the situation and I got an awkward "I'm sorry" ya sir I really hope you are sorry because Me and my passenger, or anyone around me could have been seriously injured. We are on a pretty busy Hwy on a posted speed limit of 65. Anyway I call Morgan Hill Big O and they tell me that it wouldn't be able to be looked at till Monday. So I had to get a hotel in Morgan hill from the 15th through 17th. I was supposed to be back the 16th. After they looked at it they had to wait for parts so I had to wait another day for that. I missed work because I was stranded and I had to pay about 600$ in hotel rooms because hotels are not cheap on the weekends. Please don't make the mistake on anyone else's cars guys someone could get in a serious accident. read more

So who really wants to visit a tire shop? We had just fixed one of our cars and the first day out, what happens!!? My other car's tire flattens... story of my life. :-( My car was towed from Stockdale Hwy and as soon as we walked in, we were greeted nicely and was helped immediately. They didn't seem too busy inside, but I could see a lot of cars in the garage. My husband did his homework to look for the cheapest prices for brand new tires to replace all 4 wheels and low and behold, "Big O Tires" had the best prices compared to the other tire places nearby. So we dropped off our car around 2pm and when we talked to the guy helping us he mentioned the wheels we inquired about were not in stock and that he would have to get them from their other place, so we figured we'd have to probably pick it up by tomorrow and to our surprise the gentlemen told us that it would be done by today. My husband received a call before 5pm and everything was good to go. Service was fast, friendly and extremely reliable and I would definitely recommend this place for your next set of tires. read more

I made an appointment at 8:00 AM to bring my car in for new tires. I was told it would be 45 minutes to an hour. When I arrived, there were several other people in the sitting area, and the person who checked me on said "everyone's appointment is at 8." I should have taken this as a sign. I did not realize that they did not have the staff to work on all the cars at once. At 9:30 they called my name & told me that my breaks needed to be fixed, too. I asked how long that would take since I had to be at work at 11. He said that he would have someone do the tires at the same time another person was going the brakes, so they hadn't even started yet. It wasn't done until 11, and I had to call in at work. They did a good job but do not respect their customers' time. I would have rescheduled had I known it would take so long, and I certainly wouldn't have sat in their cramped waiting area for 3 hours. read more

Big O Tires on White Lane has always, and I mean always, been a solid business to take my vehicles. I personally recommend speaking with James, he's at the front (I can't vouch for anyone else). He's knowledgeable and I trust his recommendations. The services I've had done range from new tires, mount and balances, tire rotations, oil changes, and even more complex services such as rack and pinion. I believe James gives me the best deal feasibly possible. If you're looking to get a new set of tires, buy the extended 3 year warranty, it comes in clutch! I've been a customer for 6 years and over the last 2 years I've delt with the downward spiral of service and quality of their work. Recently They misdiagnosed my vehicle and sold me on complete shocks & Struts without needing them, then had to go back 5 times for them to fix the shocks and struts they installed that I didn't need. It was upper and lower arms that were squeaking (back is still squeaking). I had other mech work done from another mechanic and he noticed that Big O had unbolted my Catalytic Converter for some reason and never tightened it back up, I've had tools left in my engine compartment after having service work done by them, and not 1 time in 6 years have they ever held an actual appointment time. Most recently I had them check my brakes, I was told my back brakes were at 30%, so I set an appointment, they couldn't fulfill the appointment time, so I went elsewhere, had them do the back brakes, and low and behold it wasn't the back breaks it was the front brakes, so my vehicle is now having the fronts done today! It always something with them. This is a very brief run down, honestly too many to detail on here, I should have stopped doing business with them 2 years ago. I've been speaking with a Corporate Manager, I have videos, pictures, emails, and text messages to back all this up. I would definitely consider going somewhere else for your vehicle Maintenace until Big O Tires takes a better look at how their stores are managed. read more

Do not make an online appointment as they dont match with what they actually have in stock. I suspect this was to try to get you in and then sell a different and more expensive tire. Big O tires made sure I was taken care of and really listened to me and cared about what I had to say. As a younger women I always feel very uncomfortable going to these places and feel belittled, BUT not with big o tires they gave me advice and made sure my car was okay and safe to drive before sending me on my way ! I had less than 10% left on my rear brakes. I made an appointment to replace disc pads and rotors. I dropped my car off and they started working on it immediately. My vehicle was completed sooner than expected. The fee was not too bad and they put it on the Big O credit card which has 6months with NO interest This is so helpful in today's economy. read more

Oil changes, new tires, AC work, you name it, these guys have all given me the best customer service I could ever ask for. I made an appointment for 4 tires replacements. The customer service was great and the waiting area clean and comfortable. As I do with after all tire service, I checked the lug nut torque and tire pressure. Most of the lug nuts were torqued extremely tight and way past their specified torque which I corrected. Also the tire pressures varied from 25psi to 38psi. I think the mechanics need to be more careful to go along with the good customer service at the front desk. read more
