My experiences so far in the 5 or 6 times I've been in: they're honest, they do good work and have experience with Japanese imports, and they charge fair prices. They let you know what needs to be done and what might be "good to do" soon, but don't pressure you into getting non-essential work done (unless there's efficiency to be had because they'll be working on that part of your vehicle and you'd save on labour because they're already in there vs. doing it next time when they're not working in that part of the vehicle and your labour charges would be higher). I'd recommend RJD to anyone who wants good service, no bullsh*t, and friendly people. Plus the location is convenient (for me).

The receipts from…read morethe shop for services over the years clearly show deceptive diagnoses, overcharges, incomplete repairs, and less-than-professional service and parts replacement. The most recent repair a transmission rebuild have the same problems that the bug exhibited before it was taken in. On the service receipt, the transmission was rebuilt. It still pops out of gear and leaks. The axle boots were installed in the incorrect position and basic replacement and checks were not conducted such as shifter bushing and coupler replacement to ensure these simple parts were not causing any issues. I have all the receipts and I have over 25 years of specific vintage VW mechanic experience, unfortunately, the previous VW owner placed their trust in the mechanics at Adria Imp which has clearly ripped off many people according to this and other reviews of this shop.

I found it difficult to spend the time and money to get regular maintenance servicing done on my car at MB in Langley. So, I went about trying to find an independent mechanic that I would trust with my car. Canadian Tire recommended the other European specialist in Abbotsford - but they are not open Saturday. European Auto was ... so I dropped by and met the Owner (Donald) who was open Saturday and made plans to have my maintenance work done at his shop. I was very happy with the service. I work close by - so Donald dropped me off at the office and picked me up when he was done. Put my mind to rest on a couple of things - OK Tire had refused the free service of rotating my tires at 10,000 Km for tire wear - Donald said there was several 1,000 Kms left on the tires and rotated them during the service visit. A visit to Canadian Tire a week later confirmed there is a couple of seasons of tread left on the tires. Sorry OK - no tire purchase from me. Fix Auto had broken a trim clip and the panel part had fallen off (the car is old) - Donald offered to Crazy Glue the clip back together and re-installed the panel during the service visit. Any story of mine where MB had been trying over the past few years, to up-sell motor mount, gasket seals work ... or OK Tire advising me my wheel alignment could not be adjusted perfectly any more ... was answered by Donald in a typical independent mechanic calm sense - replying do only what is necessary. And most of that stuff is not a problem. Preventative maintenance is time or Km mileage based in nature.... And I had my spread sheet of everything ever done to the car handy. Donald changed the oil, replaced the brake fluid, changed the air filter for the cabin (it was found to be filthy from all that desert driving), rotated the tires, repaired the clip and re-set that panel ... advised that brakes were OK, tires are OK. All for about 60% of what MB quoted for the larger (A or B) service. Plus, I did not have to rent a car for the day! I'll be back - definitely. Donald in conversation confirmed to me that he is a competent mechanic and an avid car guy. He once restored a SL 380 one time to like new condition when he lived in Florida.

After I told them it's an order by the policeman and policeman says they should remove that for me for free since they sold the car with the illegal condition, they finally admitted to deal that for me without charging extra. Of course I need to drive over 18Kilo from my home towards there to get rid of this films. Recently my car is finally broken by transmission and I truly want to warn the customers to think before you buy cars from here. I shared these on google views and get super ridiculous replies by the owner too, but I can't reply again after owner's comments. I spend over 10k on this car because I like to drive the same car. But the owner was teasing me why don't I buy another new car and it's not realistic if I could drive for 3 years by the bad condition like I described. Decided to give this place a try after having a bad experience at Henneken and found several online…read moresources recommending this shop. This shop is actually not on Palm, but at the back of a building that faces palm. The entrance faces the side alley. The shop looks fairly cluttered both in the shop area and office, but to me that really just means they work on that many cars. There was a lineup the entire time I was there. They have 2 hoists, though 1 was out of commission the day I was there. The office has a waiting area, but there is really not much there other than a vending machine. Thank goodness for smartphones. Victoria (the owner) was very familiar with the problem with my car, and mentioned all the various problems known for that model. These are problems that are plastered all over the various car forums out there but aren't officially recognized by the manufacturer. The fact that I didn't have to argue with her (unlike the dealership) made me feel much more comfortable trusting my ride with her. My timing chain was properly inspected, and she even let me into the shop area to take some photos of the various engine parts for my own records. Special mention here, as I truly appreciate a shop that doesn't treat their customers like idiots. I also requested that my alternator pulley be replaced. This job isn't difficult on paper, but requires a custom tool, and an insane amount of torque. The pulley on my car was so seized that they broke their tool, so I basically had to get this done elsewhere. They also changed out my serpentine belt (which had to come off for this job anyways) and charged me 0.7h. Not the best because the belt had to come off again for that pulley at a later date, but reasonable. Overall I was happy as my objective for the appointment was achieved, but there were 2 things where they can improve on. 1) The appointment literally took the entire day (8h) instead of the 1-2h I was expecting, because of that broken hoist. Thank goodness I had the day off and decided to stick around the area. If I had known this, I would've simply rebooked for a different day to make it easier for everyone. 2) When the tech replaced the valve cover, she routed the vacuum hoses incorrectly. I was wondering why my engine cover would no longer sit flush and was now getting squished by the hood. Fortunately I had a photo from before, so I was able to fix this when I got home. However, I feel the shop has a responsibility to put things back together properly. With that said, I do feel that the shop does try to do good honest work. I will be back for more mechanical servicing in the future.
