I hired this company for a major renovation project at my home and paid them over $18,000. What I experienced was unprofessional, incomplete, and extremely poor-quality work.
We started with a full plumbing and sewer line replacement. Their written estimate clearly stated they would cut the concrete, install new PVC plumbing, and then pour new concrete to level the floors. When they told me the job was "done," I arrived to find the floors still full of open holes with no concrete poured. The backyard was left full of dirt piles and trenches from the sewer work. When I asked about the concrete, they claimed it was "not included" -- despite it being listed in their estimate. I had to go back and argue using their own quote just to get them to complete what they had already promised.
Then came the two bathroom showers.
I specifically requested two arch-shaped niches from the beginning. They agreed and said it would not be a problem. It turned into a complete disaster. They were unable to execute the arches properly, and I had to repeatedly purchase new materials and Schluter trim because they kept saying they couldn't make it work. Eventually, they admitted they "didn't know how" to do it.
The tile work in the second bathroom is unacceptable. The cuts are uneven and jagged. It literally looks like a puzzle. Even after I sent them photos, they admitted it did not look good. I paid $4,300 for one shower and $3,500 for the other -- these are not cheap jobs. Despite the cost, the workmanship looks amateur.
One of the tiles has already fallen off. When it came loose, we could see they did not properly apply thinset/mortar behind it -- it was only placed in the corners instead of fully buttered. That is improper installation and raises serious concerns about the long-term durability of the shower.
There was missing grout on a step in the larger shower. They agreed to return and fix everything. It has now been two months since I paid them 100% in full, and they have not returned.
They also failed to:
* Clean up their construction debris (I had to hire junk removal out of pocket).
* Properly backfill the backyard.
* Cut down two sewer clean-outs that are sticking approximately three feet above ground -- which is a safety hazard for children.
After weeks of calling and texting, they told me three days ago they would issue a refund for the issues and inconvenience. I am still waiting. When I followed up, I was told, "We will let you know."
At this point, I have had to hire another contractor to fix and finish their work.
I regret paying them in full before everything was completed properly. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company to withhold final payment until all work is inspected and truly finished.
Very disappointed. read more
