Nice people. Family business with a great store for supplies, etc. for everything campers - NOT a great place for repairs. We have had two campers have major repairs done by Mike Jr. No major problems with the quality (except attention to details. . .) but, unless you want to be given empty promises and poor follow up, as well as frustration re: how long it takes to get the work completed, I suggest you find somewhere else to get work done on your camper. It was more than A YEAR from when the damage occurred to when the repairs were close to being completed - and when I called him out on it and expressed my frustration, I was met with hostility and anger from him. WE ended up contacting the manufacturer and getting the last piece shipped to us and installing it ourselves. So, my recommendation is IF YOU HAVE to go there for repairs, have it IN WRITING a timeline by which the work will be done and the consequences (to them) that will happen if the deadline is not met. Once we arrived home, we immediately ran into issues with the hydraulic leveling jacks (wouldn't retract fully), the emergency brake (wouldn't release), and the water pump (leaking). One call to Young Mike and he told us he'd be out to take a look. If he couldn't fix it, he'd have it towed to the garage - no cost to us! This was our first year owning an RV. I called the Big Moose to ask about storing it this past winter. They were the only place that allowed us to store our Class A 34' RV for as long as we needed. Being so naive about RV's I had a million questions. They were so nice and patient with me. I would call and Veronica the daughter of owner Big Mike ( what a great guy) was fantastic! She always knew who I was when I called that it was like talking to a relative, and we would always laugh because I had such random questions. They winterized and covered it when weather got bad then uncovered and even showed my husband how to de-winterize it! We were also lucky enough to have our Rv worked on while it was being stored. They had no problem giving a key to let Lynn ( BenchWench Design) to make curtains and reupholster our dinette, sofa and chair! Best decision ever if your needing work done and have it stored for winter. It was like walking in a new home when we picked it up 2 weeks ago. We had it stored from 10/5/19- June. what a great family business! We had our travel trailer at another dealer on consignment and brought it to Big Moose and it sold quickly and with more more money in our pocket, we found our dream fifth wheel here after searching all the other rv dealers, all we got from the others were pushy salesman and high prices! Mike tells it like it is , he walked us through and allowed us time to make our decision, Veronica at the front desk is so helpful, she took care of all the finances and paperwork without any issues whatsoever and the final walkthrough was flawless, Mike in the service department walked us through explaining everything and answered all our questions and took care of all the details we discussed. My family and I had a great experience with big moose RV rentals! I live in California so I had to do everything over the phone. Pam is my girl! She is helpful, funny, and always answered my 10 thousand questions! Christine is also wonderful to work with. Our RV was set up at Danforth campsites by the time we had arrived, it was clean and the A/C was already running for us. I have been seriously searching for an RV since early summer. Recently I walked away from the probable purchase of a unit that was being offered by Big Moose RV in Ossipee NH, an eight hour drive for me. It was exactly what I was looking for and within my budget. It was their lack of communicating that broke the deal. After speaking briefly with Mike and then eventually Veronica, his daughter, I found them very nice to speak with but did not follow up on what they said they would do. Their excuse was, they are busy. Well sorry folks, we are all busy and for me their lack of attention and reponse was enough to question my desire to pursue this beautiful motor home from them. read more

Don't use these folks to do you RV rubber roof over. I paid 1/2 and when the work was done, it was supposed to be 1/16" thick. It was only about half were gaps. I found out they had a relative helping them out and they would take care of it. The relative stopped by while I was not there and fixed the gaps, but the next day the roof coating was lifting in lots of spots. Never heard from them again. I reached out several times and left messages. Nobody ever got back to me. My cell phone was on the contract and they could have reached me anytime. I was not taking the chance the next year once I was that most of the sealant was lifting off down to the original rubber so I hired another firm to do the repair. When I called to get my original deposit back, they said no way, since I did not give them a chance to fix the issue. I spoke with the owner and he said no way.... so don't pay anything up front if you hire these guys. read more

If I could give them negative 5 stars, I would! What horrible customer service! I had no lights in my travel trailer so I made an appointment that I had to wait 3 days for. On Monday, the day before my appointment, I discovered that not only were my lights not working, but neither was my refrigerator or water heater. I was OK with that because I knew Big Moose was coming on Tuesday. Much to my surprise, the owner, Michael Stevens, called me about 4 1/2 hours before my SCHEDULED appointment to ask me where I bought my trailer. I told him. He then told me he could get to me in about a month because he has to take care of customers that bought their RV's from him first. I asked how dare he schedule an appointment then cancel it because I didn't purchase my trailer from him. What a way to run a business! I wouldn't be so upset if they didn't schedule an appointment in the first place. You don't make an appointment then decide that you don't want to serve someone because they didn't buy something from you. They should be happy that outside customers call them at all. So, I went to the office at the campground where I kept my trailer seasonally and told them what happened. They gave me names of people who will do work for anyone not just customers they pick and choose. It's really funny because this is what's in their website: "Service: We strongly believe that no repair is too great! Our onsite and offsite repair team is the best in the industry with over 40 years of experience. We repair roofs, electrical, water damage, we do full service detailing, season opening and season closings. Anything you need, we can do." What a bunch of BS! They only help you if you buy something from them. read more

Id also go minus 5 stars if i could. Yeah Im sure they are great if you are buying a big ticket item like an RV off them but as for customer service and repair they are the worst Ive ever dealt with. We made an appointment on a Friday morning with them to check out our heater in our camper which is on a seasonal site a mile up the road from them. The appointment was at 9am so we left work early on Thursday and headed up country to be there in the morning. 9 am came and went with no serviceman so we called at 9:30am. We were told the guy left a while ago and they would get ahold of him. Still by 10am he never showed. The owner came out about 10:30, looked at the heater and said there was nothing he could do - we had to wait for the van. (remember we went up early for our appt the day before) So he made us another appointment the next day. The guy did show up the next morning He tested the circuit board said it "might" be faulty and hed have to go back to the shop and look it up. This was two weeks ago. We have called 4 times since then and always told he'll get back to us and still we have no word. I DO NOT recommend these people. If you have an issue DO NOT use them for repairs - they are terrible! We actually looked into buying an RV there but there is no way I would give them my business at this point. Ill go elsewhere! read more
