Everything is a dollar, and some things are definitely a waste of money. But if you are a savvy shopper, there are outstanding deals to be ferreted out. For example: glassware. Buy open stock pieces, exactly the number you need, in the style you want. We had a Greek Toga party, and found amazing blue drinking glasses in four different styles that were perfect for our party. For $20 we had an entire set of barware that would accommodate wine drinkers, beer fans, even water glasses, and the color matched our Grecian blue party theme. Recently I went in, looking for hurricane glasses for a Tiki themed party and found exactly what I came for. In addition, they had round paper lanterns with LED lights built in. The lanterns took AAA batteries (not included), but Dollar Tree stocks inexpensive batteries right there, for just, you guessed it, a dollar. For party decorations and supplies, you cannot go wrong. Halloween decorations are already out, and I am taking full advantage. If I were a school teacher, I would frequent Dollar Tree for my classroom decorations, without question. The only reason I won't give five stars is the inconsistency. If you see something you want or need, buy it all, on the spot. Employees have zero control over inventory/buying, and they never know what will be arriving in their store. If you see a party decoration you covet, it likely will not be available in two weeks. I learned this lesson when I returned for more Tiki party decorations and they were no where to be found. This is my go-to party store, and it makes me giggle when people talk about how awesome our party/holiday decorations are, and I know how inexpensively it all came together.
