I feel like my father would have dragged me here while he was working construction jobs…read more This spot has a wonderful local feel -- as though someone is putting their entire heart and back into it. It is a great alternative to Home Depot or Lowe's. It's a mini home improvement shop with just about everything you need. They have so different types of paint and roof coatings. They cut keys on site -- they also cut glass and pipes. They have an entire section devoted to screws and nuts. You ever get the feeling while you are in the grocery store walking pass the open bean displays...just want to stick your whole hand in there? I wanted to do that in the screws and nuts aisle! ...I didn't do it. They even sell kiddie pools. And they had live baby chicks for sale, which made me sad. But at least they looked healthy. They also sell tool bags, ammo, stuff for grilling, farm products, some edibles (like honey, ice cream and popcorn), toilet tissue, canning items and even run raffles for prizes. I imagine this was the spot to go for all home improvement needs before the area was overrun by big box shops. Take notice -- they maintain holiday hours, though they are closed on New Year's Day.
