I didn't dig into reviews or research more; wish I had. The website page when I booked it only had the date, time, what to bring - but no mention of where it was being held other than in Front Royal. (I did not realize that this person runs some classes out of the gift shop he apparently also owns.) A few days before the class, I forwarded my email confirmation (that included the specifics of what exactly I had signed up for) to the email contact (apparently the owner) and said I hadn't received the details for the workshop and could they please send me any details I needed. I was told in the description it states the info would be sent 24-48 hours in advance because it depends on weather. Okay, no problem. On the day of the class, I emailed again; we were about 5 hours out and I hadn't received anything. I received a reply back that there were no workshops that night, there was a class, and if it was the class then I had already received all the info I needed when I booked it and if it's a workshop, check my spam folder. I, at this point, was worried I had paid $90 to a scam or something because this was definitely the correct date. I tried calling the phone number listed but no one picked up. I replied and reiterated exactly what I was signed up for, acknowledging that apparently I didn't use the right word (the owner differentiates between classes and workshops, but they're both mentioned all on the same website page, and my email confirmation says I got a "workshop discount" so this was absolutely not clear). I stated I didn't really understand what was going on but I had no location details, so what was I missing? The owner replied with how offended he was that I thought this might be a scam, didn't appreciate MY attitude, and that he had answered that way because I said "workshop" and HE DOESN'T HAVE THE TIME to specifically look up all the right information before responding. Then he pasted the details from the class page, but inserted the location information as if it had been there originally (it hadn't, and I have screenshots that show he changed it). I was furious, and did not respond because at that point, it would just be to argue and point out that I ALSO do not have the time, which is why I asked my question by forwarding my email confirmation with all of the relevant information I had. We decided to cut our losses and not bother trying to go to the class. This is supposed to be an instructor, teaching beginners, but he was SO incredibly rude, entitled, and condescending I just could not imagine anything productive coming out of trying to meet him and somehow learn from him. And given his attitude and the verbiage on the website, I didn't bother trying to ask for a refund. At least we saved gas by not bothering to go. I really wish I had researched more before booking this; the Google reviews on his little gift shop store include ones that also reference how rude he is, and Yelp was even more telling. (He also apparently likes to argue with any negative reviews! As I'm sure he'll argue with this one, which is why my Google review includes screenshots of the entire thing, minus my personal info.) The associate spent time with me and pointed out new items I hadn't seen. She taught me a way to determine my size without trying on and she helped me pick two outfits. I really appreciated the help. She wasn't doing a hard sell either. I really felt she was trying to help. I asked for her help in finding a second top in case I didn't like the first on me. I suggested I buy the pants in two sizes just in case, but she was correct with her method of determining the size I needed. I'm so thankful for her help! Buying clothes is not my favorite thing to do and it was so nice to be asked if I needed help. She knows the store and what they carry. Both tops she suggested I hadn't seen on my own.

When I walked in here I entered an active remodel zone. I almost bypassed the restrooms as there was no signage. I crept back into the small hallway to see if the restrooms were still back there, they were. Just wasn't sure if they were open or under remodel as well. With that out of the way, I figured I could do a once around the store and see if I could snag a deal. Spoiler alert, there were no deals to snag. Like the front of the store, the whole area is an active remodel zone. Walls partially painted, fitting rooms sectioned off, no clearance sections by my account. Needless to say, this was a very quick stop with not a purchase to be had.

We had been shopping all evening for an upholstery vacuum, and figured we'd stop at target for a last ditch effort - ended up being cheaper for a MORE expensive model other places! Once we hit the checkout, Doreen was so helpful and kind, and even though I don't shop at target often, her bubbly personality and willingness to go the extra mile to wrap my items after I picked them just gave me a lil reason to smile. I have been to this Front Royal Flea Market location while passing thru town a few times since…read more2015, and keep coming away with the same experience of "meh", not that impressed each time. Seems to be a location with no real focus or quality to offer or worth returning to. Mostly the location has a series of "U-shaped" plywood vendor stalls, that sellers show up daily, and populate with 'whatever' strikes a fancy! We have noticed that most items appear to be charitable-donation level personal clothing, effects, and recycled discarded items. Some sellers don't even bother to conceal the donation bags they have removed from charitable donation bins. The sellers who have produce & food items are not fresh, largely appear to be expired, or obtained from chain sellers per the boxing and packaging they are presented in. Healthcare products as well, appear to be expired and/or discarded items from retail. I would have say this location is more of a curiosity than a flea market.

I made an appointment with Cassandra to drive up from Washington, DC to purchase an item she had…read morelisted on Craigslist. My husband and I made an overnight trip out of it, since it was Valentine's Day. As instructed, I called when I was 20 minutes out. Cassandra answered, but then put someone else on the line to tell me that she sold the piece! No phone call to tell me not to come. No email. No apology! I am a small business owner myself, and usually never leave bad reviews. However, that Cassandra wouldn't discuss the situation on the phone, or respond to my emails afterwards, has led me to override my own policy.
