When we went inside, there was a lot to see. There are booths where different vendors sell their treasures. We didn't really see much that we were interested in unfortunately. That's pretty unusual for us. The staff also wasn't particularly friendly. No one said anything to us when we walked in and the desk is at the door. That's also unusual. I felt a little underwhelmed but hopefully a visit in will be more promising for someone else.

One of the dealers was selling that book and I saw that I was featured as last seen entering Strasburg Emporium!! My wife had remarried, my daughter had children of her own and it took a day and a half to shave my beard off! So bring breadcrumbs, maybe tackle a building one day at a time. Lots of COOL stuff though from 1st Edition book from the 1930s to brand new Hit Wheels, to White House Christmas ornaments and even antique glassware! The booth with the cans if sterno and pots & pans came in handy too! Amazing adventure and I left quite a bit poorer.

The displays are artistically arranged and they have everything. The prices are high but they have a rotating reduction of those prices by price tag color code. Prices drop 25% then 50% until final drop of 75%. So it you're local or lucky, you can get some good deals. And all the proceeds go to a good cause. They carry everything. Books, dishes, furniture, clothing, etc. there is not a lot of staff. I just saw a check out clerk who was fairly busy. I didn't find what I was looking for, but did find some tempting treasures.

Call about an item in the silent auction I had left a bid on. this was Friday night around 6:00…read more was told there was a higher bid. I asked when the bidding ends and specified Saturday when the store opens or close. was told by the store associate when the store close. they even got a calendar and checked for the 7 day bid time. Saturday morning I drive from Berkeley Springs to Winchester to find out the bidding ended that morning. I had no other reason to drive to Winchester other than to put in a bid. I left and then decided to call back and speak to the manage. The associate Vicky who I spoke with did her best to resolve this proble. Well unfortunately the manager nor Vicky couldn't/wouldn't do anything to resolve this in some fas or anothe. Well I have been a customer at the stores in Winchester for almost 15 years now going both stores every week at some point and time. Well unfortunately for them no mor. untrained associates and poor customer service I do not care for as I deal with customers and vendors every day and I can and will make a situation right so I don't take a chance of losing a customer and/or a vendor. Everything is exquisite. There's something for everyone and something at every price point. The jewelry selection was quite interesting, as was the art selection. Some beautiful dishware as well. My favorite part of the visit to this huge and interesting shop was the vast selection of rugs downstairs! GORGEOUS SELECTION! I mean, STUNNING. I met three lovely staff members throughout my hours long visit. Each helpful and friendly as I navigated my way through the huge space. I can't wait to visit again.
