The staff were really nice and wore masks and were keeping a safe distance. There were two adorable kittens who obviously make everything wonderful. The store is always clean and stocked. We love buying local from Madison cat toy makers (like TacoCat). We really missed MadCat! They do call ahead, pick ups and in-store shopping. Masks are required for customers. The kittens didn't have masks :)

I believe they charge $200 per cat, which is a fair price. This store is owned by Mary and Joe who bought the place when it moved from the former location. The usual inventory of pet supplies and aquarium fish. Sure you might get a part time person who isn't very knowledgeable once in awhile but generally well trained staff who love animals. Don't believe those earlier posts about cleanliness and poor hamsters up for adoption. That's not the way it is here. Go see for yourself and clear your head playing with some kittens!

This should be the only 5 star pet store for that reason imo. None of the kittens have ever been 'dirty'. I've been coming to this pet store even before they moved to this location and it's always been a wonderful place. All the cats/kittens have their own personalities, that cannot be blamed on the store. Most of the kittens are very friendly and well socialized. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Keep in mind, this store is small, not a warehouse. They do keep necessities in stock. It's a small business not a large corporation. Some of these reviews have some disconnect with reality. I don't know how this is not rated five stars, it makes me disappointed in humans, for sure. Any animal person wouldn't rate it less than 5.

It really is like a warehouse and there's lots of dust and grit on the floor. I can't look into the "animals" section anymore -- it just seems like they are so unhappy and I want to rescue them all away from there. The rooms are windowless and the air is just trapped. When I visited during COVID-19, they didn't have animals, which I think is a good thing. When we last came in, our cashier struggled to give us correct change and I had to ask her for more money back because she had miscounted. Not a big deal, but just not great. I don't plan on coming back.

We cannot say enough good things about Angel's Wish. We adopted all three of our babies, Frank,…read moreArchie, and Freddie through them, and the entire experience was nothing short of wonderful. From the very beginning, they were patient, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. They were so sweet with our three boys, even when the kids understandably got antsy and loud because well... they were done. Angel's Wish never made us feel rushed or uncomfortable. Instead, they met us with grace and understanding. Our cats are truly amazing and fit into our family perfectly. You can tell how much care and love goes into the way Angel's Wish places their animals. We were especially grateful to receive handmade small blankets and toys upon their adoption! Such a thoughtful and kind gift that our cats adore! Angel's Wish doesn't just help you adopt pets...they help you build your family. We are endlessly thankful for them and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking to adopt. We also want to share that while reading reviews, we came across a few negative ones that felt discouraging at first. After going through the adoption process ourselves, we truly believe many of those concerns come from misunderstandings rather than lack of care. Policies like encouraging kittens to be adopted in pairs or carefully reviewing veterinary records clearly reflect Angel's Wish's commitment to doing what's best for the animals long-term. We also saw mention of serious illnesses that developed after adoption, which is heartbreaking, but we learned that these are things no rescue could reasonably predict. When one of our own cats showed mild URI symptoms after coming home, Angel's Wish was kind, responsive, and reassuring, and we fully understood that this was not something within their control. Our experience consistently showed compassion, honesty, and a genuine desire to support both the animals and the families who adopt them.
