I came here on a whim as i was eagerly looking for a refreshing drink. I looked up raspados via yelp app and this was near me. This place is a little hard to find. It's actually way in the back down a long corridor that resembles an alley/hallway. Upon arriving to the establishment, the cashier was friendly and answered my questions. A Chamango or a Champina will cost you $8 each. They are really delicious and i will be sure to come back. A little hidden gem for sure right next to the 99 cent store. They take cards or cash and have a variety of snacks and drinks available. I saw one table outside with no chairs, you cannot sit inside. It's pretty much one of those grab and go drink places. I think this place has been there for a long time too. I am only saddened that i didn't know about it earlier. read more

We were in the area yesterday and I had a craving for a raspado since it was a hot summer day. We went to this place and it hit the spot! Don't let the sketchy plaza and small sign stop you from visiting this place. We ordered the chamarindo which is a tamarindo raspado with chamoy and loved it! The chamoy was not too sweet and had a good kick and they also added chunks of fresh tamarindo in the raspado. For $8, the quality and taste is worth it. We definitely will visit again when we're in the area again. read more

Been coming here for years!!!!!! Never had I have an issue till now the lady made my shaved ice incorrectly and proceededs to charge me extra for her mistake? So I paid and then she already has my change and takes it back again to charge me extra mind you ck she made my shaved ice wrong!!! And they both want to argue I was like you know what I don't want anything and walked out!! Ridiculous will never come back and I come all the way from Vegas read more

This is totally my go to spot for raspados!!! I love the amount of yummy ingredients that they add to the raspado. I don't find anything this good up in the Bay Area. It was a struggle to find this place but so worth it once we did. The address listed on yelp is incorrect and takes you to a residential area. Luckily another yelper posted the correct address and we were able to find it. For those who don't know it's: 14131 Ramona Blvd, Baldwin Park. On to the deliciousness, we ordered a chamango, melon raspado, and elote. Everything was really good. Perfect amount of sweetness and spice. You know when you taste something and it's so good you just know you're going to be craving it again. I found this little gem of a place because I happened to be a few doors down at the laundromat. It was a blistering hot day and the humidity was killing us all. One of the kids in the laundromat was running around with what looked to be a little slice of heaven in the form of a reddish Raspado. I asked his parents where he got it from and she directed me to doors down to Big Ice. My daughter and I took a stroll down there while our clothes were still washing. We were excited to see that they had everything from chamangos to elotes to Fresas con Crema (One of my all-time favorite treats). I hopped on the Fresas while my daughter got herself a strawberry Raspado. My strawberry concoction was absolutely perfect. The strawberries were clearly fresh and crisp. The cream that they were Mixtown was not too thin and not to Dick, perfect for scooping out with the spoon. On top of that the serving size was downright big, although for six dollars, it was pretty much what I was expecting. My daughter stomped out her strawberry Raspado so fast that they gave her brain freeze and I was unable to take a picture of it. When she stopped wincing in pain from the brain freeze she was able to tell me that she absolutely loved it :-) The only downside to this place is that it's located very much Tucked away in this little strip mall that houses El Super, AutoZone and Fallas Paredes. It's tough to find but definitely worth the effort. read more

The pineapple raspado from this place is so addicting! I love how they add real fruit in it. Then they add condensed milk that gives it another level of sweet, yet the drink is not overly sweet. My only gripe is the wider straw is only available for their extra large drinks. It's hard to sip the drink through the thin straws since the fruit gets stuck on the bottom. read more

So many good memories at this place for me. I can't forget those high school days when my friends and I would come here after tennis practice. The place is small shop tuck behind the 99 Cent Store and the laundromat m. Might be a bit hard to find on your first visit. It's cash only. The service is fast and good. I always get the strawberry raspados con leche. I came back last month and nothing has changed. Still the same old shop with the same menu that I have seen since high school. It was a pretty nostalgia feeling feeling for me, as I sipped on my drink remembering all the good old times my friends and I used to have here. read more

When I originally went to try to look for this place using the address listed on Yelp, it lead me to a residential area, with no stores anywhere near the area. And since there's no phone number, I was hugely disappointed. I so badly wanted to try a chamango from this place, so I did some searching, and found that the correct address is: 14131 Ramona Blvd, Baldwin Park, CA **Word of caution - it is located between the 99 cent store and Rite Aid, in that little walkway, so it can easily be missed. It's the store all the way in the back too, so parking in the back of the alley is much closer than parking in the main plaza area.** I've had a mangoeda before from E. LA, and this place is legit! My bf and I got the chamango and chamoyada and they were both delicious! The chamoyada is a bit spicier though. Looking forward to trying other flavors on my next visit! read more

Love this place! Been coming here for a while, my mom introduced me this place. They have great authentic Mexican raspados and treats! I have tried the pineapple, coconut, pecan, and vanilla raspados and they have always been delicious. I recently barely tried their famous chamango and it's good! I ask for not too much chamoy, because it can get overwhelming. They have tostilocos, nachos, churritos, and bionicos. They also have strawberries and cream and a few coffee drinks. The ladies that run this place are very friendly. I always get good service when I go. On summer weekends this place sure knows how to get crowded! But even then, you don't wait too long for your drink. Oh and this place is cash only so leave your card at home! read more

I found this place back in 2012 and ever since I loved it ! My favorite is chamango! I've taken several people to this place to try and they always end up liking it and going back ! This location is close to my work I like coming here early to avoid long lines the ladies are friendly and fast . Only cash no debit make sure to bring cash . I always come for the fresh squeezed juice they have a variety of flavors. read more

This place has amazing and authentic raspados, which are topped off with small fruit chunks that make you melt. Ive been coming here for about 10 years. You can combine two flavors in one raspado. Try a half coconut half pineapple with lechera on top. You will thank me. The place is not pretty, but it's kept clean. Cash only. I went in June and hours posted were 10:30am to 9pm daily (although these may be summer hours). read more

I went in and asked for a champina and a chamango, the chmango not spicy and the champina regular I ended coming home with two chamangos and the lady who made my drinks only made the top scoop of ice with pineapple, very disappointed. So not worth 11 dollars. read more

I love this place very good chamngos but I went on Saturday night I asked for granola to sell me some because I had ordered fresas con crema and I like them with granola lady's answer was I have some but I have to get it from the back and she wasn't able to like was she really that lazy to go to the back and get some and there one only one customer behind me she wasn't even busy she was in a rush to leave but she still had time till closing ! read more

Ive been coming here for as long as i can remember and now that I'm older i make the drive from Azusa to baldwin park just for their coconut raspado with lechera. I cant imagine any other place having a better tasting raspado than this little spot. My parents used to bring us here on our way back from the swapmeet in La Puente on hot days. I love this hidden spot. Its tucked away towards the back in between the laundromat and a small mexican restaurant in what seems to look like a little alleyway. My family is obsessed with their chamangos but personally i like the raspados such as nuez and coconut and the pineapple is tasty. Prices are great. They're very generous on the cheese for example on the hot cheetos and the nachos so if you dont like your snacks soaked in cheese be sure to mention that haha read more

Probably one of the better spots in the area for chamangos! Great service, friendly staff, and amazing drinks!!!! Cash only as well! If you don't have cash you can get change from the market next door. And it's technically healthy since it's all fresh fruit...lol. Also, the address on yelp is wrong. It's in the same place where church's chicken is at, between the 99 cents only store and the market! Hope that helps finding the place lol. read more

I got my first chamango here. It was pretty good but there were a lot of hard mango fibers that I couldn't chew/drink down. I was also really thirsty afterward. There was only one lady working the day I went and I was probably the 3rd person in line. The wait felt like forever but I was determined to get my chamango. Luckily there's a TV on the side so I entertained myself by trying to translate the Spanish news. Not sure if I'll come back anytime soon but I'll try something different next time. read more

This is like a hamburger stand telling you they don't have a grill to make a burger. Also, out of boba on a Tuesday (off night??) Stock up. Who's doing inventory? I was more angry at the fact that they let over 30 minutes go by and didn't tell me via email or phone call that the blender was down. I would canceled my order and promptly received a refund... i hope. I wasn't offered any kind of remedy. No partial refund, no refund, no extra drinks. Just your kinda outta luck. We don't have the proper tools to make you a drink. I will never return here again. I used to like this place and even used to come here when they offered 3 drinks for the price of 2. After spending $20 on 3 drinks (2 of them not even being my choice). I will forever skip this place for the humongous disappointment and terrible service. There are boba places all around this area. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

The ice cream shoppe is cute and the menu items are of average price. A single scoop is about $6 and they offer ice cream flights if you want to try out different flavors. Service wise-I think it varies. It was my third time there a few days ago and I think at my first visit there, the girl who helped me was very sweet but at my last visit, service was just so-so. Overall, Moo Moo Mia a great place for dessert.

They let me know all the different desserts and options. They also explained pricing and availability to me. They showed me all the different toppings that they have for not just ice cream and sundaes, but crêpes as well. Considering I walked in here, thinking that this was strictly an ice cream place, they have a very large menu. One thing that I remember very fondly about my visit here was not that there were a lot of people here, but the people that were dining in, they were mostly families with children. That may not seem like an important thing, but to me, seeing that is precious More often than not, you see children, their parents, and even their parents parents. So sometimes you get a small group of people, but really you have three generations. Quality time like that is absolutely precious and to see them so engaged in conversation with one another and laughing the entire time and sharing dessert, that was so awesome. Sharing ice cream with my dad at an ice cream parlor near our home is a very fond memory for me. So I guess that's why I paid attention to this while we died at scoop Street. When I took a moment to take a step back and look at our little family, we also were there in our lil three generational group: me, my kiddo & my Mom. The prices here are more than reasonable. The ice cream that is used for their desserts is from thrifty. The waffle cones are made in house and smell amazing. It's considered a "sister store" to Bun Street, which is located right next door. The interior features a clean, old-school shop design with cozy seating and motivational quotes. Friendly young staff but service was slow and inattentive. They primarily serve Thrifty Ice Cream, a classic Southern California brand. The shop's main draw is the funnel cake. The Churro-Chata, topped with horchata ice cream and mini churros is our favorite. Portions are big and shareable. Also, they bake cookies and brownies in-house daily using family recipes to use in their custom ice cream sandwiches and sundaes. Plenty of parking since it's located in a strip mall.

The unfortunate part is that the ice cream really isn't that good, and the portions are small for what you pay. What really turned me off, though, was the lack of common sense from the staff. If you've been here, you know they have a display case with slices of cake and pie. Normally you look through the case and point to the piece you want. That's exactly what I did. There were about ten pieces of cake in the case, and I picked one that had the perfect icing-to-cake ratio. The employee asked what I wanted, and when I pointed to the slice she told me, "You can only pick from these two," while holding up two other pieces. Apparently those were the older slices that they were trying to get rid of. They were clearly smaller and, judging by how they were being pushed, probably not the freshest either. Since I was basically being forced to buy something I didn't want, I said I didn't want anything. She just said "okay" and moved on to help the rest of my family. At that point I told my family we were leaving and heading to Bloomfield Creamery in Altadena instead. The employee had every opportunity to use a little common sense and simply give me the slice I asked for. I work hard for my money, and if I'm paying premium prices, I expect to choose what I'm buying. Instead, they lost Madre family of customers for good.
