Party of a lot (I couldn't keep count, we came in 4 people-filled vans!) someone suggested to come through here for a Father's Day luncheon.
I heard many good things about this place, so I was excited to give 'em a try!
There are plenty of signs on the highway that it's almost impossible to miss. (If you missed it, you simply drove too fast!) But if you need another landmark, it's right next to MG Oil gas station.
Since our party was pretty big, there was a bit of a wait so the staff can set up our seating arrangements. It didn't take long before we were placed at the window end of the restaurant.
So the way it's done here is that you put it your order at the counter, they give you a number and will serve your grub on your table once it's good and ready to go. Since we were a huge party, we opted for three (or was it four?) of their ultimate fiesta trays. Big Bro and I added orders of deep fried catfish, sisig and liempo. Rice is a must, so everyone got their own orders.
While waiting for your order, take this time to the condiments area to get your complimentary soup (delish!) and dips (vinegar, soy sauce, tomatoes, dish sauce, calamansi, hot peppers, etc.) I wish the tomatoes had already come sliced since it was a bite waiting for someone else to get done using that one knife.
The feast tray is a great idea for a big party as it gave all of us the chance to try their main dishes. Everything was cooked and prepped to order. It's almost as if all the proteins complimented each other. The lechon kawali was crispy and seasoned well. The pork BBQ was tender and juicy. The sausages were nothing to call home about, but was full of flavor. Chicken BBQ had that very common flavor, but it wasn't horrible. The sides veggies were great palate cleansers. Catfish was fresh - crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Good salt level as well. The sisg was also good, whether you have it as a starter or a main course. Liempo was a bit on the sweet side, but not too bad.
We were all so busy enjoying this feast that we forgot to make room for the crispy pata (they told us there was a wait for this since it took a long time to cook.) We decided to take it home to serve for dinner. (Thank heavens for air fryers, eh?!)
FOOD: 4.5.
SERVICE: 3.5.
VALUE: 4.
PARKING: Private lot. Shouldn't be an issue.
OVERALL: 4.
One plus is the staff going around crowning and taking pictures of all Dad's and giving them the pictures as souvenirs - free of charge. It's little things like this that make these kinds of stop even better.
They take reservations online as well as by phone. As crowded as it stayed the whole time we were there, I'd strongly recommend it.
Awesome first run. There will be future visits, absolutely! read more
