Rented a limo bus for my sons wedding. When they were driving the bride, her parents and bridesmaids to the wedding, the power steering went on the bus. Thank GOD they were in the parking lot of the venue and they did not crash! The women driving the limo bus said "oh well I guess you have to walk the rest of the way". She proceeded to shut off the bus and air conditioning in 82 degree weather. They would have had to walk another .5 mile to the venue!!!!. The girls called us from the limo bus and we had to have guests drive to the bus and pick up the bride, parents and bridal party. Needless to say the wedding was late. They have never even tried to contact my son to apologize or return some of his money! All I kept thinking about is the crash in western NY when the whole wedding party was killed in the limo! But to never get ahold of them apologize and compensate their mistake is disgraceful. They were paid in full and didn't give a damn about anything else, not even the safety of their customers. On my wedding day the original bus broke down and was switched out last minute which was fine because the replacement bus was really nice.. My package included a complimentary beverage and the driver advised me we would have to make a extra stop to pick up. I told him no (never reimburse) we were already crunched on time. The music worked for 5 mins and cut off and never came back on. The driver instructed us to contact the manager Peter and we did. He offered to refund us $100 for the issue. Needless to say we haven't received the refund yet and this was told to us on 6/13. I've called him weekly since and his response is "The merchant has to verify that we have the money in our account in order to refund you" seriously? It takes well over a month. Ridiculous! An organization that I am a part of had rented a bus for an annual wine tour we host every year. This is one of two events that we look forward to every year. The night before the tour (today - less than 24 hours away) our bus was canceled due to electrical issues. I get that, I want us all to be safe. But the customer service was completely awful!! No offer to help us find a bus, offer us an alternative or anything! A group of 35 of us are now out of a lot of money from our deposits from the wineries and this company doesn't care! Thanks for screwing over and taking advantage of a group of college students!!! Will never do business with every again! read more

Excellent service!! Big D's Limos has been fabulous at getting my student to/from Cornell to the Ithaca Airport and Syracuse airport. From early morning departures to late night arrivals. They are always on time, will wait for the student to get their luggage, and helpful. Safe driving, and reliable service. No worries if the flight is late, they will keep track of it and make sure the driver is there when you land. Incredibly happy we found this service!! read more

We used a trolley from this place for my sister's wedding and I wasn't really all that impressed. The step to get into the trolley was huge, and those of us wearing long dresses and heels had a tough time making it in. The driver didn't always offer us his hands and sometimes we got out of the trolley before him. About half way through out trips he finally realized he had a step stool that we could use to get in the trolley but he should have figured that one out before hand. I felt it was hot. The air never seemed to be continuously blowing to get the temperature down, it seemed more that the air would blow so much that our hair was flying around or it wasn't blowing at all. Also, some of the condensation from the air was leaking inside of the trolley so we couldn't even sit in a certain sport because we needed to avoid the water. They had a sound system you could hook your phone up to but it did not work with my iPhone 5. It did work with the 4. It seems they will need to be updating that since the 6 is about to come out and less and less people are going to have the 4. There were only a few bottles of water in the trolley and nothing else. I thought that there would be a couple cans of soda and maybe a bottle of champagne for the Mr. & Mrs. to pop after the ceremony but there was nothing. My sister said that her contract did not state they would provide those drinks but I just feel like you shouldn't have to ask for something other than water for a wedding. I guess everyone wants extra money and therefore you have to pay ore to include drinks. I do not think I would ever pay to use this place as I wasn't too impressed with my first experience with them. My sister loved the trolley, especially for pictures, but I just think that there were too many negatives. read more

I am very disappointed to stay the least. I can typically put up with a lot but this is too much, especially considering the money I put into this!! The party bus I requested was #30 and on their website it says it has a stripper pole and a bathroom. (Check google for my attached pictures bc I cannot leave any here) The bus we received did not have any of this. The contract even lists Bus #30. The bus we received was clearly less money because it did not have any of this. It was so hot all the woman's curls were sweated out before we even got to where we were going. The aux stopped working halfway there, the charger ports didn't work and the radio even cut out halfway through. The bus driver was very nice and we had no issues with him. However, I feel like I should be compensated in some way for all the problems we had. This was supposed to be a special party for my husband's 30th birthday day that we cannot just simply redo. I spoke to the manager and he promised me a couple hundred dollars in refund due to the inconvenience if we would try to use their services again. We are now 26 days past the event and still have not received or heard anything from anyone. I would say the Customer Service at this company is non existent. Whatever you are promised, do not expect to get it! I will NEVER use this company again and recommend you run far from using them as well! read more

Do not recommend!!! They called last minute the night before to cancel the bus for a group wine tour. We had taken time off of work, bought/ made snacks for the day and paid deposits to wineries we were all ready to go! On top of our day being ruined we lost our winery deposits because Big D's didn't have any other available buses for us to use. Lastly it was like pulling teeth trying to work with customer service to find a resolution! If you are planning an event or gathering do not use them for your limo services! read more

Big D couldn't keep its stamina.. The bus limo broke down twice on the way to the wineries. We sat around stranded for hours. After missing the first 3 wineries we were supposed be at, Big D's switched us to a school bus. Our driver was very nice, but overall it was an awful experience. We're still figuring out the money issue with them because we certainly didn't pay to sit around for hours in the middle of nowhere with a state trooper having to direct traffic around us. Also, we had to help push the bus ourselves into a new location because we were a hazard to traffic since we were broken down on a curve. read more

I've used Big D's Limos the last 3 years in a row for a wine tour event on Cayuga. Each year the experience is better and better. As our group grows each year, the size of the transportation has grown and Big D's helped us out each time. They make the reservation process easy and the driver is always patient and accommodating to the whims of the group. They have always been on time and the bus has always been in very good condition. Poor service. The limo arrived a half hour late for my girlfriends bachelorette party. After our first stop the limo drove a half hour in the complete wrong direction. On top of all of this mishap there was a lack of proper communication as to what was included for the makeup time and what was not. They ended up charging me $240 extra after being told there was sufficient time in my package for the extra stops. (I told the driver the stops were not even necessary!). I called the next day to discuss the issue and was told by the "management" of this company I would receive a call back later on that day of which I never received. Six of us made a wine tour for several hours using their stretch limo on Aug 1st, and the service was terrific. Joe, our driver, arrived promptly and even called ahead to verify directions. He was friendly, gracious, and very professional. He was very reliable in picking us up as planned (sometimes he had to park a distance away). The limo was clean, posh, and extremely comfortable. The arrangements went smoothly in making the reservations too. All in all we had a wonderful time and I credit their services for helping to make our outing a total success. read more

All we needed them to do was pick up and drop off the wedding party, which was in a hotel 10 minutes from the venue. My groomsmen and I went first, and even though the driver showed up in a T shirt and ripped jeans, didn't open the door for us, and couldn't figure out how to turn on the A/C, at least we made it to the venue. No big deal. The bridesmaids were a different story. When the limo returned to the hotel, it died and wouldn't start again. As a result, guests from my wedding had to leave the venue to pick up the bridal party, and my wedding started two hours late. We, quite simply, did not get the serviced we paid for. The kicker was that when I called to explain what happened, they only offered to give me 10% of what I had paid back! It was 5-10 minute back-n-forth trying to explain this issue with only a "it was an unforeseen mechanical issue" as the employee's response with "nothing else I can do." He also wouldn't give us his supervisor's contact information when we asked to discuss this with his boss. At minimum, insist on speaking with the manager/supervisor when you have an issue/bad experience. After speaking with Mark, he did make a refund of more than 10% once we got to share our side of the story with him. Unfortunately, the dialogue between me and their employee originally, was combative and unsympathetic to how our wedding day was impacted by (what it turned out to be) a driver's error. read more

Due to electrical issues, my group's bus for our wine tour was unfortunately cancelled less than 24 hours prior to our event. This is understandable due to issues regarding safety, however our frustration comes due to the lack of alternative options that were presented. The representative from Big D's initially had told my friends that they would try to help to find and cover with another company. After my friends had called a number of companies and found one that had a large enough bus available for the day, they informed the contact at Big D's. They told us that they would be unable to assist us in booking this alternative company and said they would just refund our money. The full amount we paid for Big D's bus was refunded, however we had already prepaid the cost for our tastings at the wineries and were unable to get this money refunded due to it being less than 24 hours prior to our tastings. Therefore, at this point over 30 graduate students are OUT MONEY for an event that we were unable to participate in. We are incredibly dissatisfied with the customer service we received and will not recommend Big D's in the future. read more

Went on a wine tour with the company through Living Social. The tour itself was fun and the limo driver was great, however there was a massive breakdown in communication between the company (manager), the driver, and those on the tour. Everyone on the tour was told different things about how many wineries we'd be visiting (results ranged from 3-8). In actuality we only had time to visit 2 (not a wine "tour" if you ask me). We were also told that there would be time in the schedule for lunch, however when we arrived at the winery for lunch, we were informed that we had a reservation that we were then 15 minutes late for AND that we had to leave in 30 minutes. That was the first time any of us had heard about a time limit. There was no mention of a reservation prior to that moment. We called Big D's to speak to the manager, who was very rude, short and insisted that the fault was ours for not having asked about reservation times (having insisted that she told everyone in the group, which no one in the group agreed with). She then proceeded to tell the woman who was calling for us that she was the only person who was complaining and then hung up on us when we passed the phone to another woman in the group. Absolutely terrible customer experience and I will never do business with this company again. I will also tell anyone I know to never do business with this company again. You do not hang up on a customer. Ever. There is no excuse for that. read more

I have never seen such a horrible, unorganized, unprofessional company in all of my life. Saturday, August 22nd, 2015, my friend organized a wine tour for her 30th birthday for 20 people. She paid her deposit, confirmed the itinerary and gave addresses to each winery we were visiting. Saturday morning at 10am, 20 people are waiting and the limo bus (red trolley) was a no-show. She called Big D's limo company and the girl who answered informed her that the "limo dispatcher" called in sick so there was no driver and no limos were sent out. She could not provide a solution and said to call back Monday. Big D's managed to take her money without a problem and then not only did not provide the service but were unprofessional and were never even going to call to make her aware of the dilemma. WORST COMPANY EVER!! DO NOT BOOK WITH BIG D'S! An amateur company and an even bigger rip off. read more

Rented an 18 person party bus for my 21st birthday to go to Down Town Syracuse the driver was extremely rude & had no idea where any of the places were that we wanted to go too (Daisy Dukes, Coleman's, and Rosie's) needed an address for every place we went? I would think a party bus driver would know the local bars? DO NOT BOOK! They appear friendly and courteous but that is not our experience! We had a horrible experience and then they would not rectify it. A group of 12 people 35years old - 62 years old going on a wine tour as a farewell party to dear friends of ours turned out horrible! The limo bus was upgraded because they did not have the size we needed. Then they told us they would not reimburse us more be cause we received an upgrade we did not WANT OR ASK FOR. I would prefer a working bus with out extreme heat! I thought this was a good thing - not! The heat and air conditioning was horrible! It was SO hot it was unbearable and the driver could not fix the temperature after we asked her about 5 times nicely. It took one of our men in our group to fix the problem. After an hour of terrible sweating during that time the driver got lost 2 times wasting an hour of our time WE PAID FOR AND DID NOT GET REIMBURSED. We were behind schedule and likely going to miss a winery. Well- one would not have been so bad but it gets worse. We were trying to be kind and understanding to the driver- everyone has issues right? We went to board the limo bus after our second winery and were locked out!!! Well over an hour we were locked out it was freezing so we had to go back in the winery that we had already toured. Still not able to get in to our limo we ended up getting an appetizer at a restaurant that had a weeding party coming in so we had to RUSH through that and our group could not even sit together. Finally we were able to get in our bus but after the hour of being lost and OVER an hour of being locked out - we could not finish our wineries. This was VERY disappointing. Our group was not happy at all but still very respectful and even still tipped the driver although tip was supposed to be included. I knew BIG Ds would rectify the situation as no company wants 12 unhappy customers to tell another 12 people who may tell 12 more people about a horrible experience.. WRONG!!!! They only would reimburse us for one hour. Even after sending several emails asking to please rectify this situation. One hour? We were locked out in the cold well OVER AN HOUR - spent money on food we did not plan on spending- rushed through our appetizer - not even able to sit as a group trying to get out of the cold- but knowing a wedding party was coming in 30 mins- were were over heated the first hour of the trip to the point that most of us were visibly sweating - the driver got lost 2 times and a member of our party had to read her directions and we got reimbursed one hour! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Spend the extra few dollars to get a great memory with another company. I can not get this moment back. My friends moved to Raleigh and out great day visiting local wineries was NOT worth the money! I have never left a negative review. I understand mistakes happen...how a company handles the mistake says much more about their reputation than a mistake itself...seriously. I would have spent much more money for a great day...now I spent hundreds of dollars on a bad memory and have a very poor opinion of ADAM the president of the company. read more

To make a very long story short- they called me the morning of my wedding to inform me they didn't have a driver or vehicle to shuttle our wedding guests to our reception venue. This after I booked months in advance, put a deposit down, sent my itinerary, and was assured every step of the way that my reservation was all set. This was truly a catastrophe and had the potential to ruin the experience for my wedding guests. Poor communication, difficult to get a hold of, unanswered calls/emails, zero organization, and in the end- no explanation or an apology- just a full charge to my credit card weeks after the event- despite my attempts to get in touch for some clarity. Typically people book limos for very important events- birthdays, weddings, proms, etc. Don't risk your special day being ruined by booking Big D's Limo. read more

The trolley I got for my wedding broke down on the way bringing the groom and grooms men leaving them stranded on the side of the road until his mother and some other family members came to pick them up. I never received an apology or any offer as to what they could do to make it up to me and then was told a solution was being worked on in order for me to get my money back. After a month of no money my grandmother had to go to the store in order to have the money refunded but instead of writing her a check paid to out to me whose name was on the contract they deposited the money to her bank account without any proof of who she was or that she was in fact related. DO NOT USE THIS LIMO COMPANY. As soon as the limo driver showed up we got on the bus and it was freezing. We asked to turn the heat up and she said well were having an issue with the heat its not working and we dont have another limo for use today. I had to contact the company myself, and by the time we left it was 45 minutes after our departure time (I was paying for). The guy ended up meeting us and fixing it. That was great. 3 hours into having the limo, the driver says I think I counted the money wrong, and I am 100$ short. Extremely unprofessional about it. We get back clean the bus for them and then on Monday I get a $120 charge to my card. No one called, I was never notified my card was going to be used. I called and the extremely rude women on the phone explained that wether you go over 15 minutes they charge $120. I said I was not notified and explained why we were late from the start was not our problem. She then decided to have a fight with me about what I signed on my contract. Every hour late they charge $120. We were not an hour late and we were held up due to there unprofessionalism and not having the bus working properly. Then proceeded to hang up on me.
