Great selection and well priced. Staff is always a pleasure. One of my favorite places to go when visiting Boston.

This is by far my favorite shop in all of Boston and the surrounding area. Incredible selection of…read moreIndie, Metal, and Punk and a little old school rock, too. Not only vinyl, but they have CDs and DVDs, which all the kids are raving about nowadays. (I'm only half joking, there's a resurgence). Best prices hands down! There's a reason they've been in business so long. The owner explained to me that he's happy when a record finds a good a home, so the used stock is usually below Discogs. New stuff is also retail price and there's plenty of both used and new. He's also super helpful and knows exactly where an album is on the shelf if he has it. Online stock is pretty reliable, too, so you can pre-shop. Just email them if you want them to hold something and don't use the online checkout. They also have a shop in Providence and can move stock around quickly if you see something there but can't drive down. Dig here, you won't be disappointed!

In my 20+ years of vinyl collecting, I don't think I've had a better experience at a record store!…read moreTo make a long story short- I walked into Armageddon Records with a small stack of vinyl (originally intended to be used as trade fodder with a friend in Boston that day) but after seeing what a perfect and well curated selection of new and used Punk/Metal/Indie vinyl this shop had, I made a stack and asked one of the owners, Chris, if he wouldn't mind taking some of the records I brought in to help shave off my current bill. The shop was extremely busy, so Chris asked if I already had a price for them in mind... I hadn't thought about it much, so I shouted out a random number and after a few minutes he came back to me with A HIGHER offer than I originally asked. I am not basing my experience solely on this matter, as nearly everything about the vibe and atmosphere was perfect, however, I absolutely believe this sets a giant precedent that most people need to know about Armageddon; there is honesty and true costumer relations. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough, and I will absolutely be back every time I come to Boston!

Sometimes the prices might not agree but hey you can order drinks from next door nook and have it while listening to some grooves. Remember to dig their bargain bins underneath the new record bins and also their value bins. I have found some gems for unbeatable prices in them.

I am huge fan of his and I wanted to find anywhere that was doing something to honor him. I was told that this place was doing a tribute night playing all of his records. The staff are so friendly and informative about the music they are selling. They have a few seats by the bar where you can order drinks. Super cool record store in a great location! Bow Market is such a cool little market square. Bow Market is all about small businesses and artists. It's located right by Union Square (Green Line). The tribute night was amazing. The vibes were immaculate and it was a great way to connect with fellow D'Angelo fans. We got to laugh, cry, dance and vibe all night. I was able to browse around their entire collection and bought a record since I am starting to DJ. They have so many options at affordable prices. I came here for a tribute night but they have a lifelong customer out of me! I will be back to buy more records.
