I'm not an inspector or permitting, so I'm communicating results from the plumbing work. My general lens as an owner, does the water run and are there leaks. Called Prime in Feb '25, we had a leak at a bathroom faucet and faulty plunger, booked an appointment and had a plan to inspect. Calls, text and emails, the issue was resolved July 16th. Painful experience to get Prime to get the parts to repair this and it required 4-5 months. When plumber was in house, he was upbeat and positive, I always appreciated that, given the repair timeline. It took a long time, and appreciative this was resolved. 12 months and 2 weeks into the plumbing ownership and a check valve on the inline in my garage leaked and has caused Subfloor, LVP, and wall damage. Tally for repair is adding up quickly and laundry room is unusable at the moment due to the water leak. In summary, the office is solid answering phone, confirming appointments (4 stars) The techs when are in home are focused (4 stars) The results, water leaks and both extensive and costly repairs that have caused inconvenience for our family (1 star) As an Elite Yelper I encourage you to proceed hiring Prime with thoughtful caution (Overall 2 star).

Checking voltage, gas pressure, live camera, etc. The new install was done under a "home warranty repair contract," and I knew I wasn't bringing that guy back. But the Magic tech showed me the AC float switch that was never wired correctly, the tape that could have blocked a critical kill switch, and left me knowing everything was okay. He confirmed safeties were working properly (after service). I felt good with the updates done. Combustion assessment has a separate price tag, like an al a carte menu. He researched a replacement UV bulb and found a cost while onsite. There was quite a bit of effort to upsell into service agreements. Aside from that, I will certainly consider them for summer AC, hot water, and heater maintenance. For what I needed at the time, perfect. I am considering a annual service agreement for the heater, AC, and hot water. They are apparently expanding to attic insulation ad well. The negative reviews from "CA customers" are puzzling. The "issue" he diagnosed wasn't even the actual issue. It was a bad wire, and clogged drain. Not a thermostat. Had we listened to him, we would have paid close to $1,000 and still not have had the answer. The tech was the one "freakin" on his so called diagnosis and pricing. Only call these guys if you want a tech that's doesn't actually care and treats you like a bad mechanic only there for the upsell. Editing to reply to the owner: I have no interest in training your technician how to not be a slime ball. You need to teach your techs how to be honest and more detailed, not just jump to the incorrect conclusion because it's a hot day. I know it was hot. I was the one suffering in my horribly hot house. The thermostat that he said needed replacing is working perfectly well. We had a neighbor with HVAC experience figure out the problem. Pretty bad when someone who left the business 10 years ago was better at the job than your paid tech. Even worse- me and ChatGPT figured out the clogged drain part. And I am not a handy person. If AI can do a better job than your technician- that's saying a whole hell of a lot.
