I got my septum pierced from here and they totally pierced it way too high up and gave me jewelry that was far to small for my nose and it was so small I couldn't even tell my nose was pierced. I was originally planning on going somewhere else but I found out right before that they changed their hours and were closed. It ended up being a good thing though because I called around and ended up at Big Daddy's and they were super nice over the phone and in person! Their prices were a LOT cheaper than the place I originally was planning on going to. Immediately walking in, they were very nice and made it a fun experience and helped me feel really comfortable. They answered all my questions and were really patient with me. I was in and out and absolutely love my septum piercing! Everything was sterilized and clean, the entire process was explained to me while it was done so I know what to expect. (I teared up a bit from the pain but it was quick and easy). The piece is smaller than I expected and you only get one standard one they have for the initial piercing, but that's honestly better because it's easier to hide and it's pretty subtle (good for while it heals). I received a card with aftercare instructions and was told I was welcome to come back if I had any problems with the piercing. LOVED coming here and would definitely recommend! :) read more

I came here a while ago based on great online reviews and reviews from friends. I got a rook piercing, and didn't enjoy the experience. The guy who did it wasn't very talkative or friendly and didn't really walk me through any of the process. They also have a policy where your piercing will be pierced with a hoop, but that isn't good or healthy for all piercings. I went to legacy and Essie explained to me what they did wrong with the piercing, what was best for my ears, and made the process f getting my second and third piercings so easy and relaxed! read more

Do not get piercings done here!! I had my tragus pierced here a couple months ago and the staff was rude, didn't answer questions I had and he had a bad attitude. I've had a lot of piercings done in the past so I know the healing process and how to clean them - this piercing was giving me more pain and swelling than any other ones I've had. Came here for ear piercings and was very pleased with the experience! I was able to walk in, get the piercings, and walk out in like maybe 15 minutes. Everything was sterile and very professional. My piercer answered all of my questions and walked me through the aftercare very thoroughly. I was nervous as I'm scared of needles, but he was humorous and calm and made the experience as painless as stabbing a giant needle through your ears can be! My husband and I dropped by with tattoos in mind. We had unexpectedly gotten called out of town and these guys were great with being able to work around our time crunch. We dropped off our ideas and were told to come back at 1pm. We arrived and they weren't even started. Came back at 3 as advised. He had just started on one. Said he called the owner in to help out since we were in a time crunch. He arrived and they bullshitted for about 45 minutes. Finally got back to drawing ours. Stopped every time someone new came in and helped them. 2 tattoos and multiple piercings. Finally he finished my husbands and the owner flew through it. Eventually he finished mine and started on it but he was too slow. I have multiple tattoos and most of them by a very qualified artist. He never takes this long. I was swelling and getting very raw. He didn't finish until 11PM. This was a 3 hour tattoo... tops. 2 months later my lines aren't raised but the color is good. ... it's just what I wanted but I have a feeling it will need some work in a few years. My husbands was all black and it's faded much more than his 3 year old black 1/2 sleeve. All in all we really appreciated them wanting to work around our schedule but in the end we wouldn't go back. Because he kept delaying the process of actually doing the work we didn't arrive where we needed to be until 4:30 am. We should have been out of there by 5 at the latest. read more

Was having a bad reaction to the nickel in my navel piercing (from a different place) they switched out with a titanium one quickly and painlessly and for a great price! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A NICKEL ALLERGY. I've been to this tattoo studio twice for piercings, and both were unpleasant experiences. The first time I went, I informed the staff that I was severely allergic to nickel and was assured that the jewelry was surgical steel and "nickel free." However, 3 days after getting a cartilage piercing, my ear swelled and got infected the same way it always does when I have an allergic reaction. I then did research on google, and discovered that surgical steel is absolutely not nickel free. I took that piercing out and let it close up and heal because it was so painful. I then returned to the studio a few months later, thinking the first experience was a fluke, with my own set of earrings that I wanted to get pierced with. However, I was rudely turned away, because this studio will only use their own earrings for piercings. I explained to the staff that I had an allergic reaction the last time, and I was then, again, rudely told to, "go see a dermatologist." But, anyone who knows how to use google knows that surgical steel DOES contain nickel. I will most definitely not be returning or recommending after both of these experiences and after being so disrespected by the staff. read more

His enthusiasm and confidence that he can take what's in my mind and put it in a design that I would like led me to show him some ideas. I've gotten 3 tattoos so far and all of them here at Big Daddy's. This place is so great I don't even feel the need to explore elsewhere. These people are friendly and very professional. The environment is clean and welcoming---something not many parlors can boast about. Used to get work done by Teej (RIP) and now got my last piece done by Christopher. Both did/do great work and were so friendly and conversational. All these bad reviews probably revolve around college girls coming in like they own the place and demanding piercings right that minute. It NEVER fails that this happens when I am in there getting something done. If it makes me annoyed, I can't imagine how it makes the staff feel. If you're coming in with an attitude and without an appointment to interrupt an artist in the middle of a tattoo, expect to receive a little bluntness.
