We made a quick stop at Big Daddys Liquors in Surfside to purchase a Macallen bottle for a gift. Franco took care of us at the register and completely changed our experience from good to amazing! We bought limes to add to the gift while Franco laughed with us and added his touch by taping the limes to the bottle. The box of Macallen had a special addition of limes and a cigar attached to it to complete the gift. Our purchase included the gift bag where the special edition Macallen bottle was gifted in. We highly recommend shopping at Big Daddys Liquor in Surfside and look for Franco. He will definitely give you beyond great customer service experience! I needed a bottle of coconut rum for my standard beach cocktail. I grabbed a bottle of Malibu, not really wanting to put much thought it in. I got to the counter, and the clerk commented he had a better coconut rum for cheaper, if I was interested. Very good experience, and very happy with the new rum. I will be back! read more

Small liquor store that is packed with options! We stopped in Saturday morning for our alcohol needs. Randy was quick to offer suggestions while we were browsing. Visited this store on the 19th of January. When me and my dad went to check out, the guy at the front counter ( I think his name was Randy ) recommended some Vodka. My dad was set on buying some Tito's Vodka and changed his mind taking the recommendation for a brand called Ultimat. The guy told us this Vodka was wayyyyyyy better then Tito's. We were also told that if we didn't like it, we could return the Vodka. When my dad tried to return the Vodka and get the Tito's he originally wanted he was told no. I did not try the Vodka but he expressed that it was not good at all and regrets not sticking with his original choice. read more

Ran in here while staying in Surfside to grab a bottle of rum. Didn't really look around too much since I knew what I was going in for. They had my favorite brand of rum which is a plus and the store was easy to navigate to find the type of liquor you are looking for. Price was a little bit more than what I pay for it at home in TX but not too much. The real standout item of the shop was the employee. I regret not catching his name because I would love to give him props for being so friendly and even coming from behind the counter to walk us back over to the rum section to show us a rum we should try the next time that is his favorite. I stopped here to grab a bottle of rum. There is a very convenient parking lot located behind the store. I am a fan of the Ten Cane rum, and I was glad they had it. When I was checking out, the guy came from behind the register and walked us over to the rum section. He gave us some recommendations for the next time we were in the market for some rum. This could have been a generic liquor store experience, but the thoughtful customer service actually made it memorable. read more

The guys are friendly and very helpful, there's free parking in the back lot (which is practically unheard of anywhere in the beach), and the selection is pretty big. The prices are competitive and you can also get a free rewards card that will give you a $20 gift card for Flannigan's after collecting 10 points. A very pleasant Liquor Store, full of Olives, Anchovies, Crackers, Chips... its just the very Best Stop in Bal Harbour, before a great day at the beautiful and romantic Bal Harbour and Surfside beaches. Ask for their "Frequent Customer Green Card" Every time I buy a Buchanan's 12, I get a stamp... so, soon, I will get my free bottle to have fun with good friends at the beach. I went to get 2 six packs of beer the other day at the Surfside Florida location on Harding Ave in Miami Beach. I was holding on to one six pack and looking at the others when the guy working there came up behind me and asked if I need help. When I said no thanks, he took the beer, saying he'd hold onto it at the register. When I went to check out and buy the beer the guy goes "you planning on showing me some kind of ID?" in a very rude tone. I showed him my license which clearly states I'm 28 and he goes "you don't look a day over 12. I'm small, I know I have a young face, I expect to get carded. So I just said "yeah twelve very funny" But the guy then argues that he's not kidding and I DO in fact look like a twelve year old child. (AKA: pre-puberty) Everything he said to me was demeaning and accusatory. I'm an adult woman trying to buy beer, why should I be made to feel like I'm breaking the law or I need to defend myself for being in there? Or have my physical appearance insulted? Won't be going there again, I like to buy stuff from people who don't tell me I look prepubescent. read more

This is my go to liquor store in the Miami Beach area (worth driving the couple extra blocks north) and they have a free parking lot. The prices and the selection beat any other stores in the area by a landslide and they also have a rewards program (bonus!!). For every $250.00 you spend, you get a $20.00 gift card to Flanagan's (yay for free food). The points do not expire. (Easy to rack up points when you volunteer to do the pre-Saturday night pregame liquor run). The staff is always friendly and they know where to find all of their products. The store is always stocked very well so you won't find yourself making multiple stops. I've called ahead numerous times to have them have my order put aside for me, talk about customer service! This is not a place to go to for beer. Beer selection is small and expensive. They also close at 10:00 PM and 10:00 PM IS 10:00 PM. If you show up at 10:01 PM, you will be s.o.l and my guess is that is a city of Surfside ordinance. Best of the beach. read more

You can't go wrong with this place. It'a my preferred stop for all Alcohol-related purchases. Basically, the reason my freezer is here. I guess they hooked me with the rewards card. You spend $25, and you get a point. 10 points gets you a $20 gift card next door. Since they have an actual parking lot, and I spend money on this stuff anyways, why not just come here and get an occasional trip to Flanigans next door? I always go for the Skinny Girl Wine and the flavored vodka. Sometimes, I'll get snazzy and buy some Ronchata which is seriously delicious and perfect for the holidays (Everyday is a holiday). Most of the time, I know what I want. Since their inventory always varies, I like to take a few different stuff and make my way home with it. Why go anywhere else? As a bourbon whiskey drinker the selection here is quite poor, but they do have a good selection of drinks in general, Javiar gave incorrect information about the amount needed to spend for a point on the points card, the location is perfect for the distance from the hotel I was staying at so that's a plus, wish they stayed open for longer though read more
