great prices awesome selections! go 3-4x before every July 4th! You the most bang for your money!!

This was my 1st stop at this store; I had a great conversation with George, his brother, and some of the staff members. Very friendly and very knowledgeable! As a life-long fireworks enthusiast, I was impressed with the large selection and straightforward pricing. This is my new favorite fireworks store and will definitely be back! With retail stores everywhere (and of all types) becoming increasingly "transactional" and less personalized with face to face interaction and truly listening to what the customer is looking for, it's refreshing to find a business like Big Daddy K's. read more

Great prices and knowledgeable employees! Will be coming back next year! Pretty good selection of fireworks a lots of big pieces. read more

Big Daddy K's Fireworks - Fireworks Near Me - Highland, Indiana

Great selection of a lot of cool fireworks. Prices were very good compared to the competition. I've been to a lot of other stores over the years and I think this will be my new favorite just because of the selection and prices. My firework show should be amazing this year. George and the team were very helpful in selecting the good ones. Thanks. read more

Great prices and amazing collection. Went in there today and they had everything I was looking for with the best prices. Go here before going to Johnny rockets. A case of echo in the ear was at $23 while Johnny rockets had them for $40!! read more

Big Daddy K's Fireworks - Most of this was only $170! - Fireworks Near Me - Highland, Indiana

I definitely recommend this spot! I went to a couple of stores and this one had the best prices by far! The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. Boss man took care of us very we are extremely happy with our purchase. read more

We went here yesterday and it was our first time getting fire works they have great prices and the staff is amazing.

(Fireworks) They are located in the same shopping area as Johnny Rockets fireworks, just across the lot. It's a tiny store relative in size to a Baskin Robbins location found in a strip mall. No deals. They offer deals only closer to July 4th and on the day of. Their main items are priced as is and if you did the math, i.e. take the price of one item and multiply by 3, it would almost seem like your getting that 3 for 1 price you got somewhere else. But, since people like to see bright orange stickers claiming 3 for 1, this is why this store is not popular. Another reason for lame popularity is their selection. Some items found here are not found at any of the other distributors; I would say they are better known for the "odds and ends" of fireworks. I.e. I found this box of 10,000 thunder bombs linked, at the top of the box is a wick about 8 inches long and 3 inches wide. You think its fake, but, one could actually light up that big wick and set that bad boy off! Also found Saturn batteries with fat whistles and assorted types of lady fingers. (Short and very thin firecrackers) What they lack are shells. (Shells are what make the flowers in the sky, not recommended for youngsters) read more

This location is very small and boasts a meager selection. The prices are not where they should be, and are often only discounted around the 4th of July. By around, I mean the day before or the day of. Once the selection gets picked over even for a short time, there isn't much left. The treatment of customers is not the greatest either. They seem to be bothered by you being there, and want to do the least amount possible to be of assistance. All in all, in Northwest Indiana, there are a LOT of better options out there. The store right across the Ultra parking lot from Big Daddy's, for example, is already an improvement. Stick to other stores, trust me you'll find better satisfaction elsewhere. read more

Great prices! Quality fireworks! And the staff there were nice as well! Definitely coming back next year!

dont waste your time and money at other "buy one get one free" stores, this place has the best prices and friendliest staff! tons of variety for your firework needs! read more

This year, I decided to shop around online and do some price comparisons. After a bit of research, I found Big Daddy K's kits and reloadables offered the best "bang for your buck" (pun totally intended!). Thad was super helpful and directed me to all the products on my list. I highly suggest you go here, instead of all those "Buy 1 get X free" places, since those stores mark up their products sky high (pun not intended on that one!). These are the best products which will give the best value for your money: Reloadables: -Grim Reaper $36.00 -Trilogy $40.00 -American Chief Assortments: -The King $80.00 -Late Night Show $80.00 I also bought the "Saturday Night Special" 500g Cake for $40.00. If you want to make your 4th awesome, I highly suggest getting your stuff here. They've earned a customer for life! read more

I love this place. The $1 fountains and very informative staff are great. Website have videos of the cakes and you can add to shopping cart and search for in the store. Wonderful place to start your fireworks experience. read more

This is my new go to spot for fireworks. They have great prices all the time and don't jack em up to lure you in for a buy one and get more free. And they don't fill their store with the cheap dud crap to make their selection look larger. I wasn't expecting to see such a wide variety of stuff in a small shop. But damn. I spent too much time going all ADD in there. Kept turning my head and thinking "oh. I need one of these too" Plus the guys in there are very helpful. Next year I'm going back and probably going to spend more. read more

They have a good selection and they have the best prices in the Calumet Region. They don't do the BOGO stuff and if a person bothers to do the math the unit cost on many of their items (especially 200 gram cakes) is anywhere from 20-30 pecent cheaper. That can be significant if you are purchasing alot of merchandise. Big thumbs up to the owner and his family as I have always been treated well by them. Although not as big as some of the other outfits I suggest you give them a try. I am sure you will be a repeat customer as I am. read more

Best prices and selection around. Staff is very helpful and there are plenty of workers to help you find what you need. Will definitely return every ear. read more

Its a small store but great prices, they have everything from novelties to big shells and assortments. Thad was very helpful in answering any questions I had and didn't mind chatting a bit. Check them out they are very reasonably priced and have some great deals if you sign up for their email mailing list. read more

Updated from 4 to 5 stars. I visiting again this year. Much larger selection now. Enough I don't need to justify going to any other stores. Prices continue to be the best in the area. Visited 7 stands in the area and the prices were the best. read more

I was originally planning on going here and another store but they worked with me to match what i wanted and for much cheaper. Super helpful and the best prices. Literally cant be beat! Cant say enough good things. This is the place to go. read more

Big Daddy's is the best firework store in Northwest Indiana. Great prices and the staff is helpful! I go there every single year!

Came here again this year - TWICE - once with the wife and once secretly without (heee heee hee)... The first time, we brought both kids with and it was kind of a circus (WE were the circus). We were treated very well and spent a few hundred dollars. Turns out this is a family business and everyone working there seemed like nice folks. Due to our experience last year and then again this year - we will return here next year, without a doubt. A great fireworks store. read more

My brother was getting married and we were planning the bachelor party. We made the first trip elsewhere, and made our second trip to big daddy Ks. We should have come here first and foremost!! Thad was helpful, kind and a pleasure to talk with. My brother found a lot of YouTube videos on specific mortars and Thad was able to help us find each type and recommend other cool stuff. The first big box store we visited-- the workers didn't seem to care. Since this is a locally owned store, Thad and the others really cared. We spent a ton and had a blast lighting them all off at the bachelor party. Would love to plan another trip out there and stock up on more goodies. read more

I was surprised to see that my previous review got filtered! Honestly, I'm just a happy customer! I've been going to Big Daddy K's for 4 years now. The reason I keep going back there is because I enjoy fireworks and I like having more money in my wallet as opposed to less money. read more

The only downfall to this place is the size of the store. The prices are very good much better than Johnny Rockets across the parking lot with there fake buy 1 get 3 free gimmicks. read more

Great price on high quality shells, now sales tricks or pressure. Specifically this place is a go to for shells
