I finally got an opportunity to visit LadyLove Lounge after following the business for years on…read moreInstagram! I found an event 6/27 5-7pm DJ set "My Tribute to Adult Swim Bumps" by ThirdLion, featuring lofi hip hop including sounds from J Dilla, Madlab, Nujabes, MF DOOM, Flying Lotus, and more. Bonus was that there were happy hour specials 8pm, which is outside of their normal happy hour window! Since LadyLove is nestled in the Bishop Arts District, parking was expectedly abysmal. There was a small parking lot with valet available, although I'm not sure if it was complimentary or paid. We opted for free curbside parking at the periphery of the district, about a 5 minute walk away toward the residential area. We walked in, seated ourselves, browsed the menu, and ordered at the bar. We ordered 2 x $7 margaritas and 1 x $7 Ladylove feral fries - included in the happy hour specials! Loved the ambiance - the low lighting, the music. Loved the happy hour special. I would love to be back at some point to enjoy other listening sessions while sipping affordable drinks.

(but if management sees this plz bring back the big couch. the two seater at the back section isn't helping anyone also... coat check?)

I had the absolutely worst experience last night. My girlfriend's and I went to the restroom and…read moresecurity decided to bang on the door immediately once we got in there. They banged the whole time , which we didn't know it was them until we opened the door. There was five of us, and once we opened up the door, they were telling us to watch our mouths because I yelled at them asking did they work there , obviously confused what was going on. They then decided to kick us out because we had too many people in the restroom. I only got one of the security guards name his name is Anthony another man in his 40s who had an accent decided to put his hands on me and push me. We were all so confused why we were getting kicked out. I will never be going back! That is absolutely insane. We did not take a long time either and they said it was gonna take too long if we all went together, which makes no sense. We took MAYBEEE 5 to 7 minutes in the restroom. The owner needs to get a grip on his security guards. Especially the ones that look like their on drugs sneaking people in from the back and the one man who put his hands on me for absolutely no reason!!! BEWARE LADIES: You cannot go to the bathroom with anyone or you will get kicked it and man handled !!!

It's definitely more delightfully eclectic and kitschy than neighborhoods around Downtown Dallas or East Dallas. Atlas has a funky lounge design that is warm, inviting and screams that you made it out of the house so you're ready to rage. They always have great energy in their music, creative cocktail menu, and food. I had a tasty Sidecar variation called Between Da Sheets (photo 2). They added rum to the classic recipe of cognac, orange liqueur and lemon juice. The rum gave it a bit of a vacationy feel which was nice. It was well-balanced and quite tasty. We highly recommend checking out Atlas next time you're in Bishop Arts and want an elevated cocktail in one of the funkiest spaces in Dallas. Do it!!! Salute @thejohnnycocktail

Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing. We were there for almost 2 hours and still hadn't even been able to place a food order. The restaurant seemed completely unprepared for such a busy holiday. They ran out of dishes and had to switch to plastic ware, and my husband's drink was served in a red Solo cup. What made the experience even worse was the DJ setup. The speakers were enormous and the music was turned up so loud it felt more like being inside a nightclub than a restaurant. I enjoy music and a fun atmosphere, but not at a volume where you can't relax, talk, or enjoy dinner comfortably. It became so uncomfortable that I actually had to leave and come back later to pick up my husband and friend after they finally received their food. Sadly, I never even got to eat dinner that night. Cinco de Mayo is a major event every year, so there was plenty of time to prepare for the crowd and overall experience. I truly hope management takes customer feedback seriously -- especially about the excessive volume level. A lively atmosphere is great, but customers should still be able to enjoy their meal comfortably

My husband ordered the loaded enchiladas and thoroughly enjoyed them too. We were greeted and sat immediately, our server was very attentive and kind, and our food came out HOT and fresh! The salsa is always good, they give you a green and red, we opted for queso too, a good yellow queso that actually tastes like cheese. At one point there were 2 music situations happening (restaurant nusic PLUS jukebox maybe?) that was overstimulated but I think staff picked up on it and turned one off. We will definitely be back!
