He listens, he's flexible, he doesn't get butt hurt if I ask him to redraw the design or change something. His ego is not bigger than his talent (which is a real problem for some folks). My favorite part about Len is that he is kind. He's genuine and approachable. I've gotten a lot of tattoos from a lot of shops in San Antonio over the last 25 years and Nostalgic Ink is the only shop I have never once felt judged in. Or like I was infringing on the cool kids club. i can't even tell you how many friends and coworkers and coworker's friends I have sent to Len. For real. Len and the Nostalgic Ink fam is a hidden gem in the river city. Worth any time or money you spend there. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! 57 stars!!! Or more!

He is an extremely talented, skilled, and caring artist. After my first tattoo session with him, I truly felt like we had been friends for a very long time. Which was awesome because I had never met him before, the day of the tattoo session. He made sure I was comfortable throughout. We had an 12 hour session with 11 hours of tattooing. We spoke the entire time. I did not see any blood during or after. The wrap he used, was cotton based and just to be sure I did not bleed on hotel sheets, but was not necessary. I took off the next morning, to shower, and it did not have a drop of blood. He is light handed, minimal pain, and hardly any. That tattoo was done last August 2025. We just started a second tattoo, in March 2026 and I can barely contain myself waiting for my next session to finish my sleeve. I cannot recommend Jose enough. Truly!!

I know what she's capable of and my tattoo reflects minimal effort. I won a 3 hour tattoo giveaway from her. I gave her several ideas and reference photos, including a previous tattoo she did for a different client, but had to give her all creative freedom. She showed me an outline and I went with it. This is one year healed and I hate it so much. I don't like to show my legs now because this looks so cheap compared to what she can do. I'm disappointed because this is permanent and it's a reflection of her as well. I even went back for a second session to color the rose a second time, which she charged me for. I also tipped her a total $150 because I thought it was the right thing to do and boy do I regret that too. I cried at home after taking it all in. I feel like I have to build onto this now to draw attention away from it.

I go back next week to finish color then one more visit to add highlights. I want a bright tattoo so 4 layering sessions it is. I wanted to get this done before the summer because a fresh tattoo and the hot sun don't mix. I may wait until the fall for the highlights.
