Super easy experience! We booked online and paid the deposit, and they automatically withdrew the remaining balance. Your RV is fully set up and ready to use upon arrival. We rented the 24' Keystone Hideout Bunkhouse Travel Trailer with a slide-out. Check-In Just show up and your RV is ready and waiting. The RV was spotless--clean in all areas: cabinets, kitchen, bathroom, etc. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, so when I wiped things down with a disinfecting wipe, there was no dirt or residue at all! Impressive, especially for an RV that's rented often and used out in the woods. Since this was our first time renting an RV, we called ahead with some questions and the man we spoke with was kind and friendly. Check-Out You only need to take out the trash, clean the dishes, and sweep. Since we weren't sure how check-out worked, we didn't realize the person who comes to collect the RV was already waiting nearby. He was very nice and didn't rush us at all. He said it was no problem that he waited and even let us linger in the area without making us feel like we had to leave immediately. Even though checkout was at 11 a.m., he didn't collect the RV until a little after noon, once we moved our vehicle out of the driveway. Great customer service! read more

My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our rental from Big Bear RV Rentals. We spent the last four days in Big Bear and am so happy we didn't tent camp. It wasn't freezing in the morning but had to turn on the heater to get the chill off. The 26' Forest River Evo Bunkhouse was plenty of room for three. The trailer was clean and smelled great! We stayed at Sorrano Camp Grounds in Big Bear and our camp site didn't have any hook ups. Although the solar panels ran the lights and charged the phones I'm glad I rented the generator, we needed it in the morning for the heater. Ran the heater for 15 minutes and the trailer was toasty. Blake was great to work with, I had several questions while out and he answered each call. We had a group of nearly 75 camping this weekend and several friends wanted the rental info. Could not have been happier! From the initial contact when making the reservation, to the day we packed up and left the camper we were so happy with the service we received from Big Bear RV. They were incredible friendly, professional, polite, and helpful. They understood just what we were looking for, they know the area very well, and they were able to answer all our questions. When we arrived at the campsite, the trailer was all set up and connected - all we had to do was walk in and get comfortable. They called that evening to make sure we'd arrived and that everything was fine, and offered to come show us the detailed ins-n-outs of the camper, if we'd like. They'd made everything so easy that that wasn't necessary at all. Checking out was a breeze - we simply cleaned up after ourselves and drove home. It was nice to not have to haul a camper up the mountain. Convenience was the best thing about this experience. Everything was ready, freezer and fridge was cold. But unless we were guaranteed a nicer trailer, not sure we'd rent from here again. There is an additional charge for using the awning, which was not useable any way. Radio didn't work (he did attempt to rectify this, but felt like I was given an attitude and we ended up just playing the radio on our phone because it was louder than the speaker he provided), DVD player skipped, shower hose was monkey rigged, could of been cleaner considering the cost of a rental. Didn't do a walk around like we were originally told when we made the reservations. Didn't feel it was as professional as it should of been and he said it was because he was a one man show (which he's not). He has a cleaning crew that should be more thorough, check and fix things properly. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars if that was an option. But don't quite feel it's worthy of 4. Blake will drop off and pick up the trailer so you arrive to a setup camp site and when you're ready to leave, you lock up and let them take the trailer away. I've used them many times for local desert races, KOH, and some weekend getaways in Big Bear. This review is for the service and the 22 foot wave trailer. Other trailers might be in better condition. We really liked how Blake set the trailer up in the site we reserved in Hanna Flats. I liked too not having to worry about dumping any tanks. It was nice to be able to just drive up and put your clothes and food away. The only issue was with the value. We noted the trailer had been manufactured in 2005. it has seen better days. Everything was working in the trailer but there were many signs wear ( floor tile curling up,etc). For $219 per night there might be other trailers more worth the money. read more

We searched for companies to rent a toy hauler from and I decided to contact Big Bear RV rentals to inquire about their units and availability. I spoke with Blake and he was very thorough explaining the process, unit types, pricing and availability. I made a reservation for the weekend of November 4th in Johnson Valley. Blake communicated with me to advise when the deposit was coming out of my account and confirmed my reservation a few days prior to my arrival to Johnson Valley. We set up a place and time to meet and it was all set!. Unfortunately, due to traffic I showed up one hour late. Knowing I was going to be late, I communicated with Blake and he was super cool about it. When I showed up to the agreed location, Blake was there (obviously on time) had the unit set up, leveled and with a welcoming open door for me to inspect the unit. He took his time explaining how everything worked and the way it is supposed to work. We rented a 26' Octane toy hauler and I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the functionality of the unit. It came equipped with all the utencils you will need during your stay, cups, napkins, toilet paper TV, sound system, stove, fridge, freezer, microwave, etc. Pretty much all you have to do is bring food and pillows and you are set. Everything worked the way it should and this really helped us make one epic family weekend. If you want to rent a toy hauler, look no further. Call Blake and he will take care of you. Another huge thing was the fact that they deliver, set up and pick up. No hidden costs or games played. Straight forward good business.Thanks again for a job well done!
