One thing I will say is that we start the appointments on time every time so we don't spend too much time waiting unless we are early. The actual train set riding around the bays up above is great and adds a bit of a distraction for everyone. Behind the bays are seating areas for parents l. It's great to hear everything from the kids and the staff. The staff is great and they really know how to interact with the kids and make them feel comfortable. During the holiday's everyone is in the spirit dressed in holiday scrubs/pj's with the Polar Express movie and sounds playing. When you leave you always get a clear update about your kids... what to do, what to keep doing or what to add, but they also engage the kids to be a part of the process so it's not just on you. They both were scared when we first started there, but they quickly felt at ease because the environment is calming and the most caring staff. My oldest has had two cavities and each time he never had a clue he was being numbed with a needle. He's very OCD and they answered every question and go above and beyond with every small detail. They offer both laughing gas, and an oral sedative. I'm a helicopter mom and I get so worried about sedation for my kids but they explain every detail and are SUPER fast. Which anxious kids (and moms) can appreciate! . They monitor very closely with blood pressure and HR, and Dr. Ash explains every detail in a way they understand in a very calming voice. My daughter had a liquid sedative that's the size of a small Tylenol cup and they have a room called "The Sleepy Room" that has a big bean bag, a pillow and blanket, and a TV with a movie of their choice. It was big enough where I laid down right next to her and cuddled up while it took effect! I couldn't believe the whole thing went so flawlessly with not a single tear or hesitation. The night before she was very very anxious and upset so that shows you how experienced they are, and truly care about each child. I could go on and on, but I wanted to ease other mom's nerves if they are looking for a trustworthy and gentle environment. They are miracle workers! Both my kids love the playground out in the courtyard and not having to wait inside. At the end they get a coin to redeem a little prize and sticker. I'm so grateful for them and all they do!

Military veterans requiring implant placement and crowns are encouraged to visit AZ Healthy Smiles to get their new smiles at a 50 percent discount." The person I spoke to at Dr. Anastassatos office firs said that it must be something that another office or location offers. I told her that it was on the azhealthysmiles.com website she went back and checked with the Dr or Manager, who told her that it's some kind of third-party thing that's very complicated. She then explained that the discount was only for the implant portion. I showed her on the website where it said implant placement and Crowns add a 50% discount. She had no explanation. Many dentists use the classic dental implant bait-and-switch that involves advertising a very low price or discount on a dental implant, knowing that the average layperson doesn't know that the implant does not include the crown(visible tooth). My problem with Dr. Anastassatos is that his office takes it a step further by actually saying in writing implant and crown 50% military discount. There are a lot of vets out there that have enough problems without getting deceived by dental practitioners. Especially since Veterans do not get any dental coverage unless they are 100% disabled. So I disabled Veteran with a 90% disability and all other veterans have no dental coverage. That being said, from all the reviews that I've read, the doctor seems like a very good practitioner. I mean she literally asks me when is her next appointment and anytime we are in the area she'll point out and proudly say this place is her dentisit. I will admit when Dr Lee said she was leaving I was devastated and worried who will replace her. I initially met Dr Mindi, who replaced Dr Lee, at a event at my kids school. I was impressed that the doctor was there because normally at these events I expect to see other representatives of the business not the doctor. I think this speaks volumes. She was immediately really kind and welcoming which made me feel much better about our upcoming visit. The next visit felt just like it normally would even when Dr Lee was there. All the office staff, assistants, etc were welcoming and kind- didnt miss a beat. I never felt any red flag. It felt like my kid is in good hands. Dr Mindi gives me the feeling that she is still concerned of my child's care and will answer any questions I would have. I had no issues at all. With that being said, the many recent negative reviews I've seen is absolutely not what I experienced and quiet surprising for me to read. I genuinely question what exactly happened.
