I usually order a diet coke or a seltzer. The appetizers each year are as follows: There is a mashed potato bar that has white potatoes and sweet potatoes. The toppings include gravy, bacon, broccoli, cheddar, and other assorted items. There is a meat carving station that has pork and roast beef. There is also a pasta bar available that serves a tomato and a cream sauce with either penne, ravioli, or tortellini options with parmesan cheese. Chocolates are put at each seat as well for guests to take home. There is a DJ that plays music, a photo booth or red carpet of some kind, an auction that has items for sale including skin care, fashion items, gift baskets, restaurant, and spa certificates. The CLC is also given a spot in the room to showcase the artwork created by the organization's residents. The choir also comes to sing a couple of songs and the board of the CLC foundation will usually put a speech together to honor those who were major donors of the year. The food, prepped, cooked, plated, and served by staff in the kitchen have options such as steak, fish, chicken, or a vegetarian pasta. Dessert is a cake cut for party-goers and a platter of cookies/chocolate covered strawberries. I've enjoyed every party each year that was so graciously hosted by the CLC Foundation and the Green tree Country Club. The Green tree Country Club provides them with a beautiful, clean, and reliable venue. I am grateful to them every year because they host events so thoughtfully with style and class.

We highly, highly recommend you book Lifetime Entertainment for your wedding day. If we could…read moreafford it, we would book DJ Ian Ali and his team for every event possible. First of all, Ian is such a great, experienced DJ. We had been to multiple weddings that he also DJ'ed and always had the best time. Everyone was ready to dance all night. Even the music during dinner was a problem (in a good way) because we all wanted to dance instead of finish our food. The packages are straight forward and Lifetime Ent. has everything you could want from a DJ and entertainment vendor. Ian is very open to song requests and gets to know you and your style to ensure you and your loved ones have a great event. For our wedding, Lifetime Ent. supplied multiple screens with towers, colorful light display, audio including for our videographer to connect to, photo booth, sparkulars, and the fog machine for the "dancing on clouds" effect. If you can, request Benny to be your MC! His vibes were awesome all night and until this day, we keep calling him Benny Benassi. He and Ian kept everyone dancing and it became a night we will always remember. Disclosure: He is not actually Benny Benassi, haha. There is no question that Ian and his team have been doing this for some time and do it well. Entertainment was a priority in our wedding planning because it sets the tone for the whole night - DJ, MC - all of it. But what struck us the most from the beginning is that Ian is so down to earth and easy to work with. Very professional, he follows up and makes sure you have everything you need. Definitely the heart of the company and we can't say enough how grateful we are for his time and service!

He is just a super nice, down to earth guy! He was also so easy to communicate with and made the whole wedding process completely stress-free! Music was very important to me, because I wanted everyone to have a good time-- old, young, picky music lovers etc. We went with top 40, songs people will sing to with plenty of 90s and 2000s throwbacks! We also added a percussionist to our package. Ian is a very experienced DJ and was extremely confident that he would DELIVER for the wedding! Now, I got married over two weeks ago and people are still RAVING about the music at my wedding!! Our host was Michael Wolk and he also brought so much LIFE to the party! All my friends and family were asking who the DJ and host was and requesting for their name to use for their future parties! The percussionist all the guests LOVED! It added a whole new level to the already awesome music! The dance floor was completely FULL the whole night!! I even saw aunties, grandma's, and husbands who won't dance-- completely LIT on the dance floor! My super fun photo and video team were also sneaking in a few moves!! A even had one friend who really appreciates music and travels to music festivals all the time, say that this was the BEST event he went to all year!! DJ Ian Ali and Michael really did such a good job keeping everyone pumped and excited! To see all our loved ones so happy and having a good time really made everything SO worth it! It's the best wedding gift we could ever receive, and we thank DJ Ian Ali, Host Michael Wolk and the whole Lifetime crew for helping us have our DREAM wedding!! HIRE them if you want the party of the year!!

If I could give VIP Country Club more than 5 stars, I would. Our wedding was truly the best day of…read moreour lives, and that is in large part because of the incredible team at VIP. From the very beginning, Tom and Tiffany made the entire planning process feel effortless. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but they were organized, responsive, patient, and genuinely invested in making our vision come to life. Every question was answered, every detail was thought through, and we always felt like we were in the best hands. On the wedding day, Vinston, the Maître D', was nothing short of exceptional. He exceeded every expectation we had. His professionalism, attention to detail, and calm presence allowed us to completely relax and enjoy our day. He handled all of the wedding day coordination flawlessly, making sure everything stayed on schedule while making it look effortless. We never had to worry about a single thing because Vinston was always one step ahead. Every couple deserves someone like him running their wedding. Our bridal attendant, Daniella, was also absolutely amazing. She was constantly by my side making sure I had everything I needed--from bustling my dress, bringing me food and drinks, fixing anything that needed attention, and making sure I actually had a chance to enjoy the day. She made me feel so cared for and truly helped me soak in every moment. The food deserves its own review. We heard over and over from our guests that it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had. The cocktail hour was incredible--not only was the selection endless, but everything was fresh, delicious, and constantly replenished. There was so much variety that guests kept discovering new stations throughout the hour. It was abundant in every sense of the word. Then came dinner, and somehow it was just as impressive. One of the biggest compliments we received all night was that people actually ate every bite of their meals. That's something you don't hear often at weddings! Every entrée was cooked perfectly, portions were generous, and guests were raving about the quality of the food long after the wedding ended. And then there was the after-party. It completely exceeded our expectations. The energy never died, the food was perfect for keeping everyone going, and the room stayed packed until the very end. Since the wedding, we've had countless friends and family tell us it was the party of the year and one of the most fun weddings they've ever attended. People are still talking about it weeks later. VIP Country Club doesn't just host weddings--they create unforgettable experiences. Every single staff member we interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely cared about making our day perfect. We felt like royalty from the moment we arrived until the very last guest left. Thank you to Vinston, Daniella, Tom, Tiffany, and the entire VIP Country Club team for giving us memories that we'll cherish forever. We would choose VIP again a thousand times over and cannot recommend them highly enough to any couple looking for a venue that truly goes above and beyond.

Glen Island Harbour Club has been in my periphery for a while. Geographically, it's close to a busy…read moreintersection in New Rochelle which prompted me to see its signage semi-regularly. Moreover, I've been on the grounds for outdoor events and just to enjoy nature over the years. Glen Island also has a catering and event hall, and this time around I found myself here for my brother's wedding. I've been to several catering halls in the area, so I was looking forward to seeing how Glen Island fared. Aesthetically speaking, GIHC is set up for success. Being right on the water and surrounded by greenery makes it a great backdrop for a wedding; the main reception area was surrounded by windows which gave great views. Like other event spaces, they have the capacity to hold more than one event at a time - but what I liked about GIHC is that there were separate entrances for each event space, so there was no occurrence of different parties intersecting with each other. A small thing, but really something that made a difference in terms of the general feel of the event. The interior itself has neutral, yet tasteful decor that is a good backdrop for whatever aesthetic you want. My brother and SIL brought in flowers and linens that complemented the walls/floor/carpeting really well. The cocktail hour area was spacious, and there's a decently-sized outdoor area for people to mingle. When the main reception started, the cocktail hour space was converted to areas for the photo booth, cigars, and the Viennese hour. The food was some of the better selections I've had at a wedding. The cocktail hour had a ton of different cuisines, and the desserts were outrageous - the fare at both were delicious. The reception food was the weak spot here - my steak wasn't cooked to my liking. However, the other components of the evening made up for it. I don't have many criticisms - the bridal suite was small IMO, I'm lucky I didn't have to spend a lot of time there. I also thought the ceilings in the cocktail hour area were lower than standard - that just might be how the structure was built. I also would have liked to have seen more dedicated areas for the bridal party area. I was best man, and in between photos and the event they set up a space for us in the cocktail hour area for us to hang. A dedicated room/area would have been nice here. Closing it out, I gotta give it up to the team. This was one of the smoothest weddings I've been to in terms of flow and staff. Everything was so seamless; the management we interacted with before the event were super friendly and complete professionals. Overall, I was really impressed with the wedding Glen Island put out. They made my brother and SIL's day extra special and I wouldn't hesitate to attend another event here in the future.

The staff was absolutely top-notch, very helpful and flexible. Most importantly, they listened to us and sincerely cared. Special mention goes to Rick who worked with us from day 1. He is the nicest guy, always available, helpful, and treated us like family. Also, our bridal attendant Breann was absolutely phenomenal! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would…read more Surf's Club was one of the most unpleasant venues I've ever worked at. The carpets smelled so bad that I genuinely started feeling dizzy while setting up for my bride. The loading dock is right by the dumpster area, and the smell back there is overwhelming. There was garbage juice trailing from the dumpster area toward the kitchen where they prepare the food, which was honestly shocking to see. The entire area looked neglected and unsanitary. The vendor entrance hallway had two fly traps that were completely covered in dead flies and looked like they hadn't been changed in a very long time. It was disgusting. What bothered me even more than the cleanliness was how the staff treated vendors. We were treated like second-class citizens. I was told I wasn't allowed to use the main bathroom and had to go all the way to the basement instead. I've worked at many venues and have never experienced separate bathrooms based on whether you're a vendor or a guest. I also got lectured for arriving 30 minutes late to set up, even though it had absolutely no impact on the event and the party wasn't starting for another six hours. Despite having plenty of time, we were constantly rushed throughout setup. The entire experience felt unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional. They made sure to remind every vendor exactly where we stood. If you're looking for a similar venue, save yourself the headache and book Greentree Country Club instead. The staff is welcoming and respectful, the venue is spotless, the views are beautiful, and the overall experience is everything Surf's Club should strive to be. I won't be returning to Surf's Club, and based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend it.

He knows how to really read the crowd and get everybody up and dancing. We wanted a dance party for a wedding and we definitely got it. Brian is known for actually "DJ'ing" as in mixing songs - -not just playing one song after the next. He has a full on system set up to mix anything from Robin Thicke to Aerosmith and make it sound phenomenal. Brian was really easy to work with, accommodating, and was always available for a conference call throughout the planning process. He even flew in the night before to make sure there were no hang ups at the airport.

We were married in Hawaii and had two receptions, and we hired Brian as our DJ for our NYC…read morereception. He exceeded our expectations. We spoke on the phone twice and I could tell he was a genuinely nice guy. He was very clear on set up so the look would be exactly what we wanted for our party without any surprises, and B-Boy Productions sets up an online client tool for each event that allows you to put in as much or as little detail for your event as your heart desires. We put in a few specifics and then let him do his thing. One of the first things I noticed at the reception is Brian's speaking voice; it is very pleasant in tone and his announcements sounded great. He also worked with us to coordinate music for our slideshow presentation and I just felt that he could roll with anything and be counted on -- and he could -- which allowed us to relax and enjoy the evening. Another thing I appreciated was his desire to be clear on what WE wanted for the party. For instance, we didn't want impromptu speeches so he never gave a microphone to anyone without asking us if it was okay - -and he did it in a subtle way. We were able to communicate with just a glance or a nod. I liked that he was very attentive and in sync with us the whole evening. But no matter how nice a DJ is, you hire them for the music and their ability to get people dancing and this is where Brian really shines. He knows how to read a crowd and play the right music to keep everyone dancing, and that is just what he did. Anyone who approached him was greeted with a smile. He played all of our specific requests and was brilliant at mixing in (random) guest song requests. We found his music collection to be vast (as it should be) and if he doesn't have a song (which we didn't encounter), he will get it on the spot. After seeing some of the iPhone videos of the reception at the end of the night (funny stuff) it is clear that Brian really kept the energy up and the party going without it being too "club-like" in feel. After all, it's a wedding, not a rave. Everyone loved him -- from the young to the old. Guests raved about him and we left our reception feeling like we had just thrown the best party in town. If you are looking for a dependable, solid DJ who really gets it and can appeal to a wide age range, Brian's your man. I can't recommend him enough. We were extremely pleased with our reception and we will look to hire him again for future parties.
