Always disappointing, but if you're drunk at 2am and need a break from playing slot machines, even Big Al's will taste okay.
The reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because the people that work there are really nice and it's kept clean. However, I don't recommend eating here, unless, like I said, your super drunk and need a break from playing the slot machines.
I ordered cheese pizza and I thought it tasted weird, but the cheese itself was pretty good. So I deconstructed it (kinda like Chef Gordon Ramsay does on Kitchen Nightmares) and lo and behold, the crust was cooked on the bottom, but raw ("it's RAW!") under the cheese. Good thing I said the Hamotzi bracha before eating it because I'm feeling a little queasy. No, I didn't finish it, I just ate the cheese off of it. Definitely not worth the $5.00 per slice they charge. Too bad I wasn't drunk.
But if you're stuck in the casino in this small West Virginia town, whatcha gonna do? I'd recommend getting the cheesecake or a cookie because I'm pretty sure they're not made in-house. Bottled water, that's always a safe bet.
I'd like to end on a positive and reiterate that the staff are very friendly and personable, and the café itself is kept clean, so they get two stars for that! read more
