We attended a neighborhood event that Big 6 catered. We're glad we went because Big 6 was very good and we got to meet a lot of our neighbors, very nice people. The brisket was very tender and oh so tasty, the sausage and the chicken drum stick was just as good, the beans and tater salad were very good. Now I need to visit their food trailer, they're bookmarked already.

Can't decide between a three or a four stars. The food was ordered on a delivery app. Let's start with the bad. The mac and cheese is kind of dry and not creamy. The potato salad is in a four oz cup. It also could be pre-made/store bought. My husband said it should have been double for the price. The bbq sauce was also a small portion but good a little watery. Ok now the positives. The sausage, brisket, and chicken were a good portion. The peach cobbler my husband really enjoyed. We ordered because we haven't had bbq in awhile and wanted to order from a BOB. The presentation was also nicely done for my plate. The sides matter too. They were lacking. After reheating the meats were dry and the brisket was bland.

OMG!! Everything we tried so far was delicious!! We really enjoyed the flavor of the ribs and sausage. We will definitely be going back to try their other items. Hopefully, next time we will get to try the cake.

Two meat plate, brisket sausage plate gets 6/10

First time I got boudin link which was delicious the. I came back same day and decided to give the plate a chance. My service second time coming back wasn't as pleasant as it was the first time, I didn't know they closed at 8 and came about 10 mins before the time and definitely sensed an attitude which made me not even want to continue with my purchase. I got the two meat plate brisket and sausage with potato salad and "smoked corn". The sausage was 5/10 , brisket 6/10 the smoked corn just gave me canned corn vibes nothing unique about it and the potato salad was okay in flavor. I would only return for the boudin. I'll pass on the bbq wasn't impressed.

TLDR: Standard with a few standouts. Standouts: -Homemade Sausage -Smoked Beans -Potato Salad ***Full Review*** Arrival: Weekday 12:30 p.m. Order: Family Pack #2 -1 lb Homemade Pork Sausage -1 lb Ribs -Smoked beans, potato salad, mac & cheese Verdict: 6.8/10 -Pork Sausage: A step above the generic sausage used at many BBQ spots around town and worth a try. The spice blend is unique and the smoked flavor truly permeated the meat. -Ribs: This was the biggest let down of the visit because of the glaring issue of quality, combined with a disappointing portion. While the ribs were somewhat tender and had a wonderful smokiness, they were noticeably dry and were definitely from a previous service date. There was no way this portion was cooked recently. In addition, the container included approximately 4 ribs, and the remaining portion was comprised of the riblet pieces/rib tips. Unless I specifically ordered rib tips, I would expect the entire portion to be whole ribs. -Smoked Beans: As advertised, a nice smoky flavor w/ a vinegary base, balanced with a hint of sweet and a touch of spice. -Potato Salad: A mustard version with ample flavor and the perfect amount of sweet relish. -Mac N Chz: Slightly bland with over cooked noodles... think Luby's, but deduct a point.

I always pass this place up , The food is tasty however the portions are not worth the price. The ribs are pretty good , soft , juicy. The BBQ sauce was sweet & savory. The employees were also friendly and helpful ! Only giving 4 stars because of the price

My meal: Cheryl's special plate (2 meats, 2 sides, 2 slices of bread, peach cobbler and drink) 17$ End cost: ~$20 Big 6 is located in a random plaza on HWY6 and Old Richmond, next to Frankenstein's grill & bar. Fortunately enough, you're able to see the truck from any direction you approach from since it's close to the highway. I had the pleasure of choosing "Cheryl's Special" with deer sausage ($2 for beef; $3 for deer) and beef brisket. My sides were potato salad and Mac & cheese. Brisket and deer sausage tasted good. Briskets weren't bone dry but definitely needed the BBQ sauce to accompany it and was a bit bland. The deer sausage wasn't bad, it just took me a few minutes to get used to me eating deer haha. They didn't have beef sausage which kinda disappointed me so i had to get the higher cost of sausage since i didn't like pork too much. Potato salad and Mac & cheese tasted great! Potato salad wasn't too overpowering and the Mac they serve are runny(I prefer runny Mac over its drier variant) Peach cobbler had to be my favorite part. Amidst all the protein and sauces you consume, the cobbler is almost the safe haven you search for after a heavy meal. The cobbler wasn't extremely sweet, but sweet enough to where you could enjoy the whole thing. Only bad thing i encountered was the lack of menu information on yelp. Prices were higher from the most recent menu picture posted. I won't be rating the business off of that and solely from their food and service. I've posted a more recent picture of its menu so I'd insist on looking on my photo Ambiance: it's a food truck and it's hot outside. Cant expect anything out of that haha Food: 4.2/5 satisfied. Would recommend and would come back (only because i live 5 minutes away) The platter was fairly big, I should mention that. I couldn't finish the whole plate and I won't complain! I would probably get meat by the pound and separate sides to share with a group. Service: we didn't speak too much but judging from their tone of voice, they're friendly and wouldn't mind going an extra step to help you out. Thanks for reading!

Big 6 was big GOOD! Food was hot and the taste was perfect! Dajuan and Tracy helped me they were very informatibe. Customer service is excellent and the wait was not long at all. They have a buzzer system that is really convenient for when you are waiting. I don't mind the food truck idea because its low key when you want get some good food but not dress up. Plate 1: 2 meat plate with sliced beef and pork sausage. Beef sausage was a 2 dollar upcharge so I opted for pork. Pork was just as good and juicy. I got the marble sliced beef with fat. They have 2 options so that was good. Marble or lean. Sides I got smoked beans and Mac and cheese. Mac was good a little runny but the flavor was there. Smoked beans were good I'm not a fan of smoked beans but I ate theirs because the flavor was there. Plate 2: 2 meat plate ribs/rid tips and pork sausage. Not as many sausages as in plate 1 but ribs were good size and plenty of rib tips. Sides were mac and cheese and potato salad. Potato salad was put on the side and extremely good. Not the mustard base and too yellow. Overall really good and plentiful. Will definitely be going back because its literally 6 minutes from my house. Love the location and love supporting businesses in the area. *only reason its 4 and not 5 stars because I tried to call and place my order before I got there and no one answered. *

Heard of this place maybe a year ago. Finally decided on stopping by, and oh my god. It was a good decision. It's now a red stationary stand. John the cashier was really cool and personable. After trying the beef brisket, I decided on getting a chopped beef plate with smoked corn and Mac and cheese. The beef was perfectly cooked and very moist. Didn't need any sauce at all, but they're sauce is also really great. I would buy the sauce alone. The mac and cheese was also amazing. I'm not sure what they put in it, but keep it up. They also have a pretty cool reward system for repeat customers. I'll definitely be returning. It's take out only which is sad because if they had tables they would shut down every restaurant in the same parking lot for sure. 10/10

I ordered "The Convention" breakfast which was "Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes and Buttermilk Biscuits" - it came with literally 20 tiny sausage patties and biscuits total. So one tiny sausage and biscuit per person. I didn't count the bacon but it was a similarly stingy portion. No one had more than two pieces. The eggs were bland. The potatoes were actually good. But overall, it was so embarrassing to have the food show up and it be these tiny trays of hardly any food for over $400. I would have been better off ordering individual dishes for each person from a local restaurant. I thought with the high Yelp and Google reviews I saw, this would be a safe bet! I also ordered a 20 mini pastries for $3.25 each which were like pastries you get at a 7/11. At least if you are overcharging, let the food be good and not like you unwrapped pastries from a Costco haul. Worst of all was the coffee which was watered down and disgusting. Everyone threw theirs out so I just dumped it. What an utter waste of money. Also they only sent 8 cups with the coffee even though the breakfast was for 20. Stingy and bland all around. If you are catering for a small group, please save yourself the trouble and embarrassment and just order takeout from a local restaurant. I wish I took pictures of the spread but I was just too upset. All I took was the coffee which you can tell even from the picture was watery. ***The menu listed the items but didn't say only 1, 1oz piece of bacon per person - that's absolutely absurd for a normal breakfast portion. Who would cater one piece of bacon per person?

I loved the food and munched on it like a starving kitten. Pandemic hits and it severely limits my ability to go to places, but I still had the old flyer. I called the order in ahead and ordered a shrimp poboy for myself, a fish one for my husband and a chicken pasta for my mother. First things first, as its technically a catering company and due to restrictions with dine in service in Fort Bend County, I don't know if the inside will ever be meant for dining service. It seems it's meant mostly for pick up, but on the other hand restaurants are operating differently with the pandemic, so I can't say for sure. Now the food. Portions are huge. Our poboys were large enough that we split them to taste the other person's meal. I felt they were some of the best poboys, I've had. Probably the only better ones are the ones from New Orleans and that's high praise as it's New Orleans influenced dining. If you want to know, I think the fried fish poboy slightly edged out the shrimp poboy. I felt the taste of the shrimp at times got lost, whereas the fish poboy and all of the other components were balanced. However, it's such a slight difference in terms of taste, that you're not losing out if you're eating the shrimp poboy. But if you are eating with someone and they don't mind sharing, I do recommend swapping half your poboy. For my mother's meal, as a picky old lady, she was content, and that's rare. It was a lot of food, it came with vegetables and corn bread. She ate it and didn't complain. To me that's high praise. The only real "knock" as that while the bread pudding is good, I know you can get better bread pudding elsewhere. Also, as it seems to be a start up business, drink options are also limited. However, I think with time there will be more drink options/ As for the bread pudding, people are either going to agree with me or not. It's still good, but I don't think that's the highlight of this caterer/restaurant. The main dishes are what makes this place unique and I'd come here for those dishes or consider this place for events like weddings and bigger parties. The food is good enough to make everyone happy and if it's for a wedding or birthday party it's not like you'll need their dessert as wedding/birthday cakes tend to be ordered at bakeries. Definitely try it, and send me a note if you agree.

I ordered the $20 bottomless mimosas, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with Fried Chicken, and because I'm indecisive and they were offered a la cart, I ordered a side of Catfish and a side of greens. My friend decided on the chicken and waffles. The food came out in an acceptable amount of time and piping hot. We did have to ask for our beverages and they were quickly brought out. The pancakes were fluffy and delicious, bursting with flavor from the multiple ingredients. I asked for butter but ultimately didn't need it because they were delicious with just a hint of syrup because they were already sweet. They came with 4 chicken wings (flats) which I appreciated because I don't like when the chicken is strips. The chicken wings were seasoned and fried to perfection, as were the catfish strips. Just the right amount of batter and seasoning to be crunchy but still flaky and melt in your mouth delicious. The greens were to die for!!! Cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. I added a few dashes of hot sauce and they hit the spot. It reminded me of my childhood and I longed for some good cornbread to sop up the remaining pot liquor . But I digress lol. The restaurant was located in a convenient and easy to find location with plenty of parking. Clean tables and facility. I observed the staff washing their hands multiple times throughout the visit. Overall, everything was excellent and I'll definitely be returning to try other menu offerings. A few things to note: Definitely make a reservation. They do not split checks. It's one check for the entire table so figure it out and make it easy for them. Debit and credit cards only. They also offer Chef Curated Catering experiences and party and event rentals.

We did an in-person tasting and even brought a friend with us to make sure we weren't being biased when deciding what was good and what wasn't. This was probably the most important part since whatever we picked during this session would be served at the wedding. We also had another tasting just for appetizers, which we picked up ourselves--no big deal. The appetizers came warm, and we got to try them with different sauces. The options were blackened chicken satay, brisket egg rolls, and crab wontons. One thing we wanted at the wedding was beignets, so we asked Chef Dee if she could make that happen. The dough hadn't risen in time, so she decided to have them delivered to our house (on the other side of Houston). Honestly, I have no idea why anyone would think that was a good idea.
