Went in 6/27 to look around . I asked Starlena or Starlene , whatever her name may be , one simple question & she got rude, made her eyes all big & raise her eyebrows like she didn't understand me , super rude , didn't greet me when I paid after that & didn't say anything to me when I left because of the encounter 10mins prior . No words were exchanged , bad servicing . The 2 girls & 1 guys there held entire conversations throughout the store , completely just yelling over the counters to the back the whole time , drinking soda by the registers . Don't hire kids with attitudes. read more

Stop in to purchase fishing license for the weekend adventure. The young lady at the front register was friendly, even when she is multi tasking with assisting other customers with returns and phone calls . She greeted each guests as they walk in, also acknowledged my presence while waiting in line. Great location for sports events attire and leisure activities as well. Such as camping gears , hiking , snow activities and sports equipments and attire. read more

Had a bad experience today Thursday 9/18/25 around 4:30pm. I went to pick up some baseball socks and a belt for my son. The first employee I asked had no clue where I could locate those items as a bundle. A supervisor with multiple tattoos approached the register and rudely asked what I needed. I asked her the same question and responded as if it was a bother to show me where it was located. She pointed over there. The item was not visible and hidden behind a lego display and boxes. I will not be returning to this location, I would rather drive more miles for better customer service experience. read more

I came here recently but was told what I was seeking was not available due to a recent rise in demands. The worker was very professional and told me when they would receive new shipment and when to arrive for a near guaranteed purchase as I arrived to late for supply and demand. The worker was very professional and they took proper COVID precautions store wide. I highly recommend coming here. also I saw Baby Yoda (The Child) hand sanitizer bottles by the front cashiers, excellent purchase! read more

I asked a female associate about an item that was on sale, her response was ... i don't know i dont look at the ads for sales! Then walks away! I had to look for another associate to ask where the item i was looking for and never found another's one. This is the worst customer service ever. She should have asked what i wanted instead of walk away and not help!! So dissatisfied read more

I had the opportunity to return a pair of shoes sold to me by a higher price than advertised, the customer service provided by the manager and the cashier was extremely poor, no manners bad attitude towards the customer. I don't recommend this store to anyone, they don't treat customers properly. read more

Horrible customer service. Manager is always in a bad mood. They have no idea how to run the store. I waiting in line 30 minutes to buy ammunition and their system shut down. Go anywhere but here. read more

If you want to buy any kind of amo or firearm related (an air riffle in our case) don't bother coming here. The cashier went to the back to ask for the manager, who apparently is the only person who can sell you these items (which is understandable) We could here the manager tell the cashier "not right now, tell them no". There was no valid explanation on why they denied us the sale, the manager never even came out herself nor did we even get a chance to tell her what we wanted to purchase. She just said not right now! And probably sat on her butt in the office doing nothing. Complete BS. Now we know why everyone tells us not to come to this location. Edit: Went to another Big5 location (the one on Sierra and Valley in Fontana ) , in & out in less than 10 minute. Manager was super nice and helpful. read more

I'm sure this review will mean absolutely nothing since this location has had a plethora of 1 star reviews through the years and hasn't changed at all. I won't go into the horrible customer service because I've learned to find what I need at this location myself. What got me today was that I brought my 10 yo son there to get approx $100 in soccer gear. After we picked our stuff ourselves, sat on the floor to try on cleats (no seats by the youth shoes), my son told me that he had to pee real bad. We approached two employees standing on the sales floor talking. One was the manager. Both looked as if we were interrupting. I politely asked where the restroom was. The manager said, "we don't have a public restroom". What? Are you kidding. So they have a restroom just not for their customers? The only reason that store exists? Without customers there's no business at all. This is definitely a misstep on the manager's part. I've been to many Big 5 locations that provide a restroom for their customers. I'll never give my money to this location again. Too many options out there. Dicks sporting goods is worlds better than this dump. Kinda sad to be honest. Having said all of this I must say that the cashier Samantha was a major bright spot in an otherwise horrible experience. She was great. Too bad she has to work for such a horrible manager. read more

I came in to Big 5 Sporting Goods looking for a specific item. Tiffany helped me and was very courteous. She greeted me right when I walked in the door. I showed her the picture of the item I was looking for she immediately went in the back room and found the item for me. She was very professional and I also watched her greets all the other customers in the store on her way back to the stock room. She was very helpful and deserve the race! Thank you Tiffany! You made my day! read more

I wish they'd have a better selection on jerseys but they don't have any. For a sports, they have T-shirts but no jerseys whatsoever. Please bring some jerseys to make it a true sports store read more

They are horrible, they were not actively monitoring the entrance. We looked and the girl ( with very blonde hair ) at 4:05pm just gave us a long stare. No acknowledgement, so we walked in and she yells across the room to go back outside "completely embarrassing" im going to dicks sporting from now on. Businesses are trying to get the sales back, and you have people like this handling your potential customers. Ridiculous read more

I stopped by here today looking to buy some new gym shoes. There were only a couple of sales people on the floor. I needed help in the shoe department and there was no one to be found. I went up to the front and had to interrupt the 2 salesgirls' conversation at the register to get some help in the shoe area. They made me feel like I was some awful customer for needing assistance when there was no one else around--just really snobby attitudes. The salesguy who helped was of absolutely no help. I asked him to help me find a certain size and he said there wasn't any. Then he disappeared again. I looked around for another pair and found one but was unable to find him again or anyone else on the floor for that matter. So, once again, I had to go up to the front and interrupt the 2 salesgirls' conversation at the register and AGAIN feel like I was putting them out for needing help. They call the salesguy again and he goes and helps some other people trying on shoes. After he walked right by me without even asking if I needed help when I clearly needed help, I asked him if he had the other shoes in another size, and he just glanced and walked in the back room. He came back out and said they did not have the ones I needed in my size and offered a pair that was twice the amount of what I was looking for. After that, I just walked out. The next time I feel like I have time to waste and want to be treated like I'm bothering the employees because I need help with something, I will definitely come back here again. read more

We are a pretty outdoors family So we come here often. For the most part everyone is cool. Good service. Recently purchased a rifle and shotgun here and have been back for ammo. If it wasn't for our own perseverance we'd have left empty handed. Like many parents we spend a good deal of money on a yearly basis for sporting equipment for our kids. It's a shame when the customer has to ask repeatedly for a little customer service: ready to spend several hundred dollars on baseball gear asking for the right shoes and batting helmet the staff showed little to no concern. The manager was in a foul mood and it reflected in her employees. After a frustrating hour we grabbed baseball pants and other things off the self-service rack and left. I've purchased from other Big 5 stores and find the lack of customer service to be consistent. I guess it's time to find another store and I'm willing to drive further to find a good one. read more

Pretty cool store, quality is not the highest but it's good enough to have fun, while not breaking the bank. Guns are not the best models, camping equipment is cool, shoes not too good, basketball courts are good stuff there and fair priced. Nice knife selection, warm thermal wear. I shop in this store pretty often, staff is helpfull, managers act too busy to help customers, hit they still help ( w attitudes) read more

Great store. It's small but has everything you need at a great price. The staff is helpful but doesn't follow you around the store asking if you need help. Thats annoying in my book. If I need you I'll ask, and when I do, they were helpful. read more

I created a yelp account just so i can give this Big 5 a bad rating. I whent here after work because i just baught a marlin xt .22 and i wanted to go see the amo they had. I ask the lady that worked at the gun counter at that time and i asked her if she had a specific type of .22 i was looking for. She said they didn't have any (with a bad attitude) so i just kept on browsing and at this time she left the counter to go to the register a d help out customers who needed to pay. (which i had absolutely no problem with) i was standing at the counter for 15min and that lady never came back! No one helped me after that. I wanted to buy some ammo but i left with nothing and i will never ever buy ammo from there ever!! Do not shop here they are very rude and do not give good customer service. Sad part is that was not the first time, i still gave is another shot and it failed read more

Went to get some shoe for a Christmas gift and they were very helpful. Got the shoe I was looking for and went up to the register. It took a little time to check out but I did get a coupon that was online to save 10.00 from the cashier. Thanks friendly neighborhood store. read more

I walked in during the holidays to pick out a few stuff and walked out with nothing. I was helped by a female her name was Penny as it said on her name tag and she was completely useless and also extremely rude. She would whisper to herself although it sounded like she was just making comments about customers. Another worker with the name tag Tara had the worst hygiene. To top it off the managers were very unhelpful. The store was a complete mess and seems like the workers don't care that much. The only help I seemed to get was from a cashier with the name tag Devin who was very nice and respectful but overall I had a very bad experience and won't be going back again. read more

Ran in for shoe laces. It was super busy, it is Christmas time, the staff was very helpful got us in and out very quickly.

I gave them 1 star because i found what i was looking for other than that, WHERE SHOULD I START?! I went one day to purchase cleats and baseball pants for my son, and as my husband and i were paying, their managers were standing at the registers talking badly about another employee, which is so unprofessional. the next day i went back in a huge hurry, late to the game so i could exchange the pants that were too big and buy cleats, the employee at the register left me at the register, disappearing for 10 minutes?!?! the next day, I had to return the cleats, i wasnt greated, by any employee, when she called the manager to do the return, the manager did not even acknowledge me, then she and the employee began to have their own conversation as im standing there waiting for my return. the employee then hands me me money and receipt WITHOUT A WORD. before leaving i had to say something, i told them their customer service was terrible, that they were both standing there without even addressing me, and that that was really disappoinint coming from a "manager" so the manager looked at me like i was crazy and said "okay, thank you" really?
