The best restaurant in Berlin. Would 100% come back again. Service was excellent and everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant is not in city center which is actually a nice change. It's located in an old charming building that has been renovated into this now Michelin star restaurant. We got different dishes from Menu 1 and all of Menu 2. Biggest recs would be: the asparagus (the best asparagus I've ever had), the char and burratini were equal for me but my partner in crime liked the burratini more, the Guinea fowl was better in our opinion than the cod (really liked the Guinea fowl - perfect amount of crunch and tenderness), and the strawberry dessert more than rhubarb (better balance of sweet/tarty with good combination of texture). But just our takes! We elected to do Riesling wine which was very refreshing. One of the underrated parts though is the bread!! The bread bowl comes with little different breads and the butter/honey is soooo creamy. It's like the consistency of lotion. It tastes like perfection. Outstanding!

Bieberbau is not the most convenient location to get to - but I highly recommend it for the quality of food will be worth your trip and it is accessible via the Ubahn/Sbahn. There are 2 menus to choose from ( and may a third vegetarian one but that was not presented or offered to us by our server). You can choose between 3, 4, or 5 course for roughly 49,50, 59,50 and 59,50 - mix and match all you wish. I opted for the 4 course, but long story short there was a miscommunication/language barrier which resulted in my 3 course meal - service was the only reason that this review is not a 5 star. Hands down, the food is absolutely a 5 star quality. The baked potato foam was one of the most flavorful, creative and indulgent " soups" I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. My second course choice was the sea bass with oyster mayonnaise - the oyster mayonnaise was a strong flavor - but I appreciated it for such creativity and execution. My last 2 orders included the Demeter cheese selection and the quince and saffron. I unfortunately only received the quince and saffron according to the server ( although I believed it to be the cheese selection). My partner also enjoyed the baked potato foam as well as the lamb. The lamb comes highly recommended - cooked to the perfect temperature, tender and delightful. If I was to come back to Berlin - I would definitely return despite the mix up in service, as the quality of food for price is one of the best I've ever received. Thank you Bieberbau for a meal I will never forget

On my recent trip to Germany, Hugos in Berlin was highly recommended to me by a close friend. My experience was phenomenal, from the service and expertise on the food and wine pairings to the views of the city. The restaurant is located at the top of the InterContinental Berlin hotel, serving French and Mediterranean fare in a coursed style experience. You can opt for 4, 6 or 8 courses, and add wine pairings to each of the courses. If you'd prefer, they can prepare a larger portion of some of the courses for just one main entree. We opted for the 8 course with wine pairing. The whole experience took around 3 hours, but we were certainly taking our time and enjoying every bite! With 8 courses I was definitely full, but keep in mind this is much more about art and flavor profiles than it is large portions. If you have any questions they are more than happy to help answer them, and the sommelier explains the wine pairings in as much detail as you prefer. As you can imagine, the menu changes frequently, but I will share what I had in June of 2019. I'd HIGHLY recommend Hugo's for a unique experience you won't forget!

Beautiful setting, faultless execution, and lovely lovely servers. Unforgettable…read more 8 course meal that guarantees to wow and surprises with each dish. I loved that. How ingredients like parsnip, peas, pickled gherkin and horseradish, though familiar, transformed the dishes in unexpected ways. While components as rapeseed oil, linseed and buckhorn, though less familiar, infused the mains in interesting yet recognizable flavors. One dish, for me, that perfectly highlighted the familiar with the delightfully unfamiliar was the mieral pigeon. So beautifully done.
