I was lucky enough to go on a hike through Epping Forest last Saturday. I'd hoped for some nice…read moreAutumnal views, but the location far exceeded my expectations. From Elizabeth I's hunting lodge, to the Iron Age encampment at Loughton, these history just seeps out of the place. Although I'm glad I didn't find out about the connection to Dick Turpin until afterwards, otherwise I'd have been running around yelling "Stand and deliver!" every two minutes. It's easy to get to from central London and the gradient isn't too bad in most places. If you get one of those perfect autumn days like I had then it's just magically. It made me want to take up painting, because I didn't think my photos captured the light as it was. Just stunning.

I'd recommend starting out with the several trails that have been laid out by the kind folk of the forest reserve. The trail maps are available at http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/things-to-do/green-spaces/epping-forest and are great as guides. The trail themselves are quite pristine and untouched with a few trail markers sprinkled as you go along. Expect to get lost; but that's a good thing, right? If you're a dog lover, then you'll love it. Even if you don't have a dog, come here and you'll make many four-legged friends. Great place for children and adults a like. It's great to have access to something this amazing this close to the city.

And you better lock the door when you use the bathroom, Orient er in the middle of you doing your business. First-Hand Experience: I'm a big Leyton Orient fan. My fave London team, I'd say. Their stadium needs a facelift but their club does not. They are the heart and soul of lower division football. They have a name everyone loves and a spirit that never dies. My last visit here in 2007 coincided with a big win and some insane celebrations for such a small team. They're slightly pricy for a smaller team but it's London so it's to be expected. Lower division football is amazing, and if you're in London, this is the place to come and see it. Real football... this is what it was like 20 years ago. This might be my fave team in London, to be honest, which is crazy since they're so tiny (like your boyfriend's thingy). The stadium holds 9k, and they're currently in the 3rd Tier. They're a grand old club from 1881. They've never really been anywhere or gotten anywhere and their wiki page needs work, but I still love this little North East London team, a lot. They have one of the coolest names, and I need to go and Leydown for a while now.

He has left many puzzles for you to solve. Will you be able to stop his evil plan in 60 minutes with just the two of you? HIT THE BULLSEYE -Great concept developed from the local historic stories. -Puzzles were fun and had a good amount of variations. -Good use of the small spaces. -Interesting way of "transforming" a new space. MISSED THE MARK -Some props felt like it needed updating. -The last puzzle was broken by a previous group, so we didn't get to see the full effect on the ending and was puzzled by how we got out. -The flow was a bit off in the latter part of the room as we had discovered something too early and had to be told by the game master to not go through it because it's a "trap". -Clue system could have been better executed as it felt too blunt at times with the hints given. -The headset did feel a bit cumbersome during the game play. Perhaps another way for communicating with headquarters could be implemented? TAKE A SHOT? This room felt pretty linear to us. It was the first time we saw something that we could solve but was stopped by the game master and told not to follow the order and do another puzzle first. People with good memory and observation would advance quickly in this room. If you are good at mathematics that would also help although you will always have your game master to assist you if that's not your cup of tea. This could be a fun date room for two people.

This room is themed around a magician who disappeared in 1999, we have to discover his secrets before is flat is demolished in exactly one hour. Based on this description I expected a lot of magic tricks involved in the puzzles in this room, and I absolutely was not disappointed. The props and room design are a little on the very-obviously-home-made side, but very usable and in good condition. You can definitely tell that a lot of effort and care went into designing this room and giving it a coherent and interesting storyline, which is so much more important than some escape room designers seem to think. From the start, we found logical games and clues to work on, with a few surprises along the way. Everything in this room seems well planned out and thought through and was so much fun to work on! Definitely one of the best cohesive and immersive games I've played so far, with really fun little games alongside bigger challenges. I really liked this room. It's not one of the high-budget production rooms, but a fun experience with a more personal touch to it.
