I came in with my old bike (missing the…read moreback wheel -somebody had stolen a few days before) and they exchanged the pieces for a discount on a 'new' second-hand bike. I was able to try a few different bikes before I choosing one and they kindly transferred all my accessories (stand, panier, lock). I wasn't feeling entirely sure about getting my first road bike, but their 2-week trial period gave me the confidence to buy it (I could have exchanged it if I changed my mind). I came back a week later to change the pedals and saw my old bike entirely refurbished and ready to go into the hands of another happy customer. Highly recommended!

If you're in London and in need of sports equipment this is a great place to go. They offer a 10-day trial period for most equipment, during which you can get a free refund (even if you've used the equipment etc.). If they have to completely repackage the equipment then they may add a charge of 10%, but according to their website this is rare. In any case, this trial period is extremely important to anyone seriously buying a squash/tennis racket. Though not quite as cheap as Lilywhites on Picadilly Circus, Sweatband have a much better range of equipment in sports they actually specialise in and the staff are infinitely more helpful. Highly recommended, especially since it can be very hard to find good quality sports equipment in London since Sports Direct invaded Lilywhites.

The gym itself is pretty spacious with locker and shower room at the back. Some locker are paid locker. They do not provide towel tho which a bit bummer, or maybe my home gym spoiled me too much. This gym use the V scale which is a better standard than some boxes/colour. Each problem QR code tag attached which I could scan on the app Griptonite. I logged each of my attempt in the app, including how many tries. There was no AC, so after a while it got pretty hot. They also have kilter board. Would come back again for sure!

Parkour or free-running is sort of a sport where the main philosophy is the exploration of your (usually urban) environment in the most efficient but also artistically expressive way. The class began with a 40 minute warm up which was a pretty hardcore workout before moving on to a series of 4 exercises aimed at improving particular parkour skills. The whole thing is mostly geared towards the tall, fit guys who have been doing this stuff for a while. Myself and my housemate were total begnners so were admittedly quite terrible at many of the things. However, we are both pretty fit, flexible and strong so it wasn't so much our fault as much as the class not really being suitable for beginners or short people despite it being advertised as so. That's why it only gets 3 stars, but if you're already good at this stuff then it might be a 4 or 5 star class. We'll be going again as it's a punishing work out, but they are starting a beginners class in November which will likely be a much better option. But for £5, the two hour session is excellently demanding physical work and a pretty cool thing to be doing for a really cheap price.

I have found it best to park the car in Broadwood Avenue and enter the woods through the gates there. The whole area is quite busy and a number of dogs are allowed to wander about without a lead. This is a natural wood and quite ancient, I believe. There is plenty of wild life to see if you walk quietly and a good variety of trees and plants. It's quite an easy walk to the lido through the woods but it's not suitable for wheelchairs or anyone that's unsteady on their feet. Take plenty of insect repellent.
