The employee did not have a bad attitude. In fact, quite the opposite. He stayed calm, professional, and patient the entire time. I've purchased multiple bikes here, and the staff and owner are always knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. This shop does not deserve a one-star review, and I strongly encourage others to support this business.

In general I also need a tune-up. Probably new cables and cable housings. I need a new set of wheels laced up. I keep popping spokes randomly, and this set was built in 2017 at another shop. I'm probably going to ask for Stan's No Tubes Tire Sealant as well as puncture liners for the tires. I won't say what, because it was something unique to my titanium frame, but they fixed that without needing to be told. And I love them for it. It seemed in good shape (and I didn't have the budget for a new bike), so I wanted to see if I could get it fixed up to ride again. I took it to one shop, and had the usual experience of a woman at a Westside bike shop - a man was condescending to me, laughed at me for considering fixing my bike, told me it was rusted beyond repair, and promptly tried to sell me an $800 bike. I decided to try Lance at The Bicycle Whisperer, and what do you know - he and his teammate Danny were just NICE. They didn't laugh at me, didn't upsell me, and instead just walked me through what I'd need (new brakes, a new tire tube, and a tune-up). For about $150, my bike looks and rides like it's brand new! I'm not sure where else you can find this kind of honest, fair, and kind bike repair on the Westside. Try Lance and his team - I don't think you'll be disappointed.
