I am a long term customer at Bianca Amor's Liquidation Supercentre and have spent thousands of dollars over the years. Their SE store is the one I usually go to. My shopping experience there is generally OK and most of their staff are pleasant. Some of them know my faces when I showed up.
However, I don't like the fact that they don't have a fitting room. Also, I don't like the fact that when you need to return something, they only give you credit, not money back.
However, this is not the reason I am writing a review today. I went there yesterday (Feb. 14th, 2015, the Valentine Day), and bought some stuff with a total of $78. When I got home, I realized that they over charged me for the small gift bags that I bought. These gift bags cost $0.5 each or $1 for two. I meant to buy 6 but somehow I only picked up five. The person at Customer Service counter charged me $1 each. She also forgot to take off the big black plastic tag (not sure what do you call it) from one of the clothes I bought. So I went back there today.
When I walked in, there was only one customer standing at the customer service till so I lined up behind her. After she finished, another woman came up and stood beside me. When I tried to explain to the clerk Lisa about my problem, she told me that the woman stood beside me was there first. I was puzzled because she was not there when I got there. However, I didn't argue. I stood behind her. After Lisa finished with her, I explained to Lisa what was my problem. She said why don't you leave your bag here and go grab something else. I agreed since I was short of one gift bag anyway. (I later realized she made me to buy more stuff from them for the amount of money she over charged me. Has anyone heard such business practice?)
I went to the aisle and ended up with more gift bags. When I came back to the customer service counter, there was a long lineup. I thought I better stand at the end of the line because none of these people knew I was there before.
I waited patiently until it was my turn. I handed in the stuff I was going to buy, Lisa quickly calculated how much additional money I owed her. By now more people stood behind me so I quickly paid the bill and left the counter. Before I left the store, I checked my bills and realized she didn't correct the mistake in my previous bill. All she did was allowed me to pick up one additional small gift bag for free ($0.5) and charged me for all the additional gift bags I picked up.
I returned to the customer service counter and and tried to explain to Lisa what was the problem, Lisa said that she needed to finished with the next customer so I stood aside. The next customer said I should stand in the line just like everyone else. I explained to him that I had done that, twice. I had just left the counter within one minute (the distance between the customer service counter and the door was at the most five meters). I didn't even leave the store when I found the mistake. He was not happy but he didn't say anything.
After Lisa finished with him, I tried to explain to Lisa that she didn't correct the mistake from yesterday's bill. She said she was busy and I should let her serve other customers first. By then I lost it. I asked her how many times did I have to stand in the line? It was once yesterday, twice today. She kept saying that she was busy and this was customer service line and she needed to serve her customers. I said to her I am also your customer. Hadn't you made the mistake twice, all of these wouldn't have happened. I raised my voice by then, which I shouldn't.
There was a woman leaving the store. I guess she didn't hear all the previous exchanges and didn't know the whole story. All she heard was my raised voice. She started yelling at me and used "F" word to me. I yelled back to her. I was shaking by then. I said at least I didn't swear. And I asked her to shut up her ugly mouth and don't pollute the air with her dirty words. By then she was long gone.
By now Lisa had to correct the mistake she tried to ignore. (She might be the one who made it the day before). After she spent quite sometime to make the correction, she gave me $2 credit, and told me I can spent it the next time I shop there. I said there wouldn't be the next time. I went to the aisle and picked up four more gift bags worth of two dollars.
When all of these was happening, a man stood close to the door wearing the store uniform kept a close eye on me. When I tried to return to the store to pick up more gift bags, he yelled at me to leave my shopping bag behind because the store policy is that you can't take the paid items back to the store. After the whole thing was finished, I asked if he was the store manager. He said he was not. I asked if the store manager would be in the store during the week days. He said there was no manager in store whatsoever. If you want to complain, do it online.
So here I am. What a shopping experience for the Valentine's Day. read more
