Top sellers!

One of the best places from the list of small, local businesses, Bi-Rite Market of NoPa never disappoints. If you're in NoPa, I suggest you head to Bi-Rite for some freshest produce in order to stock up as a way to prepare ahead of time. As long as its interior atmosphere is packed with normal vibes, it's best to make an excellent shopping list the next time you visit. Last Sunday afternoon before heading home, I'm thinking about buying a cold cut sandwich before my dental cleaning on the next early afternoon. Davidson, made with chunks of lemongrass tofu cubes, jalapeño shreds, cilantro, and carrot strips in a banh mí sandwich surely hits the spot! Having plenty of greens and plant proteins was a good way to get so much fiber needed. Bi-Rite Market will always be a welcome mat for all walks of life. As long as we treat each other with kindness and respect, that puts our minds at ease.

Telegraph sandwich

Super fresh Sandos. I got the telegraph sandwich and the roast beef was beautifully marbled and bread had that fresh crunch. Cheese was high quality and they don't skimp on the fried onions. Pair with a fun drink, they have so many juice, seltzer, and kombucha options. It's a pricy market for sure but you'll get what you pay for which are some unique and delicious food items.

Limited edition sweet ume plum ice cream collab with Rintaro! ($11 per pint)

I love browsing this small but jam-packed market to try interesting, fancy, special, and local foods, and even better, they take EBT! Their selection of goods is quite impressive from breads from Rize Up (ube sourdough!) to a nice selection of chocolates (Deux Cranes' matcha chocolate with caramelized sesame!), but I wouldn't do my normal grocery shopping here because it's pricey. It's so cool that they collaborate with local businesses to create unique ice cream flavors. This location sells pints only, not scoops. I tried their limited edition sweet ume plum ice cream in collaboration with Rintaro, which tastes like a tart, original froyo. I couldn't taste any plum flavor, but it was deliciously smooth and creamy. I can't wait to try more of their collaboration pints. I also stumbled upon Petite LaFleur's salted dark chocolate honeycomb here, and it's absolutely delectable!

Bi-Rite Market is a small grocery store that has almost anything you are looking for. They have fresh fruits to milk, ice cream, pasta, and flowers. The market does not have their ice cream to buy by scoops but you can get their ice cream that is already packaged in the frozen section. I got the chocolate pie the other day and it is very tasty! It is perfect for anyone who has a sweet tooth. It is not big in size but it is really dense so it is enough to share with at least 4-5 people. The cashiers are also very nice and friendly.

Yummy! The lone mountain.

Parking is on the street. Store is tiny. I came for the sandwich and it did not disappoint. It was absolutely delicious. I got the lone mountain and the bread was perfect. The content was also super neatly packed. It was really good. Wish I didn't live so far or I'd be here all the time. Can't really comment too much on the grocery part but it's small... so things are limited and it's just crowded.

Local gem that I haven't visited in a while. I dropped by bc I was in the area and I tried the salmon salad which was fire. Most salmon salads I have had tend to be dry but this one was perfection. Perfect amount of moist. The sweet potatoe and kale salad was phenomenal. I could eat that for days. Great consistency and flavors. I also tried the banana pecan bread which was alright. I little dry for my liking but my friend liked it. The honey marshmallow was also a delight. Overall this trip reminded how much I need to keep comin back to bi rite. Service is always so nice too

The food here is really fresh and they have unique options I can't find in Whole Foods or other healthier stores (at least in Sacramento). Highly recommend.

I won't say much about the food, just that there is a reason I want to come back for more. Fresh, delicious ingredients. Carefully thought out and brought together for great combinations. Truly curated experience is how I would put it. I really like this shop.

I loved seeing all the other goods they had for sale; though they were pricey, the curation seemed very special and done with love and care. There's some seating outside on benches or the patio deck, and the employees were very friendly and easygoing. The day I went, the brunch focaccia was an artichokes, salsa verde, sundried tomatoes, red onion, arugula, and pepper jack focaccia that day, and it was delicious! they grill it fresh in front of you (takes about 5 minutes), and I'd recommend eating it as soon as possible for the best experience. The focaccia is so light and airy with the crispy crust, and their ingredients are so high quality with a symphony of flavors. Would definitely come back again for this, maybe to also try their paninis!

But I'm going to warn you against shopping here. 1) I have bought spoiled chicken from here. 2) I have bought various bad cuts of beef that not only fail to justify the premium price but aren't even as good as grocery store meats. 3) Most disturbingly, the sticker price and what they actually charge you is different. I have caught them multiple times so now I know they do this intentionally. 4) Also disturbing, the items on your receipt won't even match the items you buy. I don't know what accounting tricks they are playing but I'm done shopping here. I'm not saying all my shopping experiences are bad. But these bad ones make it not worth it to try again.

I've been here twice now and both visits have been satisfying. At this point I can recommend the Reuben and the Ham & Cheese on the sweet roll. Both sandwiches come loaded with meat and toppings. The bread is toasty and warm when served. Most importantly, everything in the sandwich taste fresh. I think I found my go to sandwich spot near work. Price is similar to most sandwich spots in the area. It's San Francisco so expect around $15-$20 for the sandwich. Luckily both times I've been here I didn't need to wait in line for anything. Service is efficient and the workers are friendly. I will be back for another sandwich!

I got the tri tip special with garlic butter and swapped the Swiss for pepperjack. The meat was sliced thin and really tender, and the garlic butter a perfect addition.
