Since Kading didn't have the keys to the mailbox, the post office clerk said that I had to pay $40 for keys to the mailbox... Moving out charges did not seem fair: They deducted money from my deposit that are normal wear and tear.

I had to cut my lease early and Venture does not allow you to break your lease. they make you pay a fine of 120$ and then make you responsible for the rent until some one else moves in. They will tell you that they will make every effort to find someone to take over your rent but they are quite deceiving. I sent out some ads on craiglist and university classifieds and people emailed me about the available apartment. I turned my possible lease replacement to venture and venture told them that there are no rooms available. It got a lil fishy when i was still being charged money after people were still asking me about the apartment. So i called venture and ask them if anyone have taken over my lease. they told me "no, no one have... and the room is still available... and they are still ACTIVELY looking for an replacement" I then recalled them to act like a prospective tenent... i asked them about the exact apartment and they told me it was unavailable and that someone is still living there. I got angry and told them i was the same guy who actually left that apartment. I got angry and some things were said I warn them i will sue them if i paid for another months rent... A day after i fought with them over the phone, some one took over my rent. These people are criminals and i would not recommend them! There is also several more stories i would like to add about venture but do not have the time to thoroughly explain them but here is a small list. -made me pay for a lamp that fell on me while i was sleeping -made me pay for carpet cleaning which i have already paid for -never set up my internet so i had to use the password from the previous owner. -the women who work at the office are never helpful - the communal washer and dryers are always stinky and are sometimes broken. i remember once the dryer didnt work and all my clothes were soaking wet. so i had to pay the washer and dryer twice. -Many many many more complaints Do not do business with venture. I recommend 3000 grand or live anywhere but not a place managed by venture.

A lot of new resident. She told us it was in her calendar. But nothing. Now denying she said it . Nothing schedule. She's been working on it since feb she did. She informed us there's no regulation that she has to do this . If u have a vulnerable relative and move here id suggest to always meet her with a relative or advocate. Senior nurse . I've been a state inspector and worked un long term care. Our manager now doesn't seems grasp the needs of the elderly and that's why multiple safety issues. I sold/donated all my snow shovels, lawnmower, garden tools, etc. only to repurchase many items over the years. Thank goodness I'm in control of the interior of my unit. I've done extensive work, at my own expense, on snow removal and lawncare. Dues continuously goes up and service declines. Maintenance requests show as completed when nothing has been done. I've even suggested doing my own yard work and snow removal, as I used to, if I didn't have to pay the crazy high dues, which they've now added on an extra fee for auto pay.

Plus I had to pay for one months rent for the deposit. $500 For one cat. This is absurdly high. I was also required to purchase renters insurance but they didn't tell me that until the day before I filled out the application for the apartment. Also, no one told me I had to make out checks to Lenox Properties, which is a part of Metro Properties. When I turned in my application, I made the check out to metro properties and was told that they would not be able to hold the apartment until a correct check was written. Other cons. The apartment is SO COLD in the winter. I have a space heater which I'm not supposed to have but the one time I called to ask about the heat I was basically told to suck it up, so I did by acquiring a space heater. The hot water is also awful. The shower goes from a good temperature to FREEZING COLD in a matter of seconds. The pressure varies too. I am assuming this depends on how many people are using the water/ hot water in the apartment at the same time. Sometimes I have to run the water at the kitchen sink for 5 straight minutes waiting for hot water. If I did have to pay for water I would be furious because of how long I have to wait because the water pressure and heat can't keep up with the demands of the building. The apartment was DIRTY when I moved in. I asked for some rent to be taken off due to me cleaning and they told me no. I have never rented from people who were so inept at keeping their renters happy.
