As a woman, it's hard to find an auto bodyshop where you don't feel like you're being taken advantage of on repairs, money and overall, being tossed around about your car. I've been here before and have absolutely loved the service I've received from Steven and his dad (the two that run the shop) and about a month ago, I got in a car accident on Firestone in Downey, called my insurance company and gave them Steven's number to fix my vehicle. Steven has been responsive to my texts and calls, not just to me but with my insurance company, he also has been very accommodating to getting work done on my car, as soon as possible, he's even called me to give me an update on my car and when it should be done by. I got my car back today and I'm so happy with the results! It looks like when I first bought my car! Can't even tell I was in a car accident. You can tell him and his dad fixed every detail on my car. On top of it all, he washed my car and clean the inside for me! These men are wonderful men and I fully trust them! The value for what you get at their shop is beyond perfection. On top of it all, they're polite, nice and humble. I'm planning on moving to Long Beach in April and I plan to still have them fix my car even when I no longer live in Downey, it's such a relief to find people who you can trust with your car and not feel taken advantage of. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I initially had an appointment but…read moreneeded to reschedule because I was going to be out of town by the time the repairs were to be completed. Rescheduled for 7/23 @8 am as I needed the earliest appointment in the day as possible. I had my partner adjust her schedule so she could pick me up. I was told it would be 20 minutes. I got there early, checked in, and stepped out to stand by my car as I was told my assigned rep was in a meeting. After 10 minutes, I went back in and the rep informed me he had someone ahead of me (who arrived well after me). I told him I explicitly requested the earliest since I had to be out by 8:30 and he guaranteed it. He said "no one told me you were here." He said he could reschedule me. There were several reps there and one of them could have helped but didn't. I told him I was taking my business elsewhere. He said "okay" and returned to do work on his computer. Then the two reps were arguing in front of customers when I walked back in to ask a car me moved so I could exit. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE. The rep that checked me it was the only nice part of the experience.

Galaxy Auto Haus did a great job for all aspects of the upgrade, from paint matching to panel fitment. I really can't tell that the paint on the bumper, trunk, and body are not from the same painting run; the color match on these panels is that good. Pricing was pretty fair and Honorio was very meticulous when it came to getting all of the details right. If I have another kind of project for a car like this, I know that these guys will get it done right.

This shop caused multiple areas of damage to my car and I would not return…read more The damage was never disclosed to me, not when the work was completed, not when I picked up my car, and not when I paid for the repaint job. I only discovered it once I got home. When I confronted the shop owner, Pat, he admitted to the damages but communication from that point on became challenging and more difficult than it needed to be. There were long gaps without his response and at times the tone felt dismissive or unnecessarily tense, which made the situation even more stressful. I've made many attempts to work with Pat to find a fair and reasonable solution. To this day, I'm actually still waiting for a reply to my last message asking again to discuss a reasonable solution. After repeated non-responses and apathetic communication, it became clear that no compromise would be reached. The only option he is willing to offer is the one solution I clearly stated I'm not comfortable with: bringing my car back this same shop that damaged it in the first place. Given the damages my car received from 5 Stars Automotive, my hesitation is understandable. I even tried to negotiate a different solution by providing multiple repair estimates from other reputable auto shops and he responded by calling this practice "dishonest" (very ironic, I know). I'm leaving this review because I believe it's important to be transparent about my experience.
