Both my sister in law and I drove from the east end all the way to Vaughan to get our lashes done because we got a great promo deal via Groupon and their work on Instagram looked pretty good. Location: it was a little confusing to get here, but if you look for the TB Tax sign in the plaza, you're in the right spot. There is free parking available and it's a fairly large lot. The salon itself is up a pretty steep flight of stairs and there wasn't an elevator as far as I could tell. It is NOT baby stroller or wheel chair friendly. The space itself is small, clean and pretty. I liked the little touches, like the glitz on the hand towel in the bathroom, and the huge fluffy pillow on the couches. There is no separate area for waiting and treatment, so if you're shy about being beautified with a possible audience, be warned. Mind you, when we visited, there was one other girl finishing up before us and we basically had the place to ourselves. This was great because I had to bring my 8 month old daughter with me and she is a giggly little thing that babbles quite loudly some times. Nicole did both my lashes and my SIL's lashes, although she received an HD set for a 20$ upgrade fee. It was totally worth it if you have a lot of lashes because it looked fabulous on her. I have much shorter and sparser lashes so I stuck with a more natural look. The thing I loved was that I literally just said, "Hey, I just don't want to wear mascara on vacation and still look bright eyed in photos..." and she just knew what to do based on my lash length and eye shape. I also wear glasses so it was important that I didn't get cartoonishly long lashes that bumped my lenses. The lashes were soft and didn't feel stiff to the touch. I left with a little pink pouch with some aftercare instructions and a pink mascara wand to keep the lashes brushed. The lashes held up pretty decently without any refills, even after about four weeks. I've always been pretty good about lash care, but this vacation had been pretty hectic so I hadn't brushed them as much as I normally would and they still looked full, albeit a bit tangled by the end of the day. I'd say they looked pretty good at up until about the six week mark, after which there were just too many lashes that had fallen off. This, however, far exceeded my expectations. Overall, I'd recommend this place, particularly if you live in the area. I don't think I'd be returning regularly only because it's such a trek from my place, but Nicole did a great job and knows what she's doing when it comes to lash extensions.

They offer a lot of different hair services. The most amazing part is the eyelash boutique they have in the back with nice comfy beds, a blanket and it's just so comfy, I definitely fell asleep during my service. Tiana is an eyelash god. She has the most delicate hands and I seriously felt nothing when she was doing it. I've had lash technicians poke at my eyes and I've got to say this was the most comfortable experience I've had. I got the mega diamond lashes done and damn mama, they are THICCC. What seriously surprised me is how light and fluffy they are - I expected heavy lashes which I can barely see out of (which is what my heavy mink lashes feel like) but nope! Even when you touch them, they feel like real thick lashes. My mom can't stop touching it and I've had mad compliments in the one day I've had them on. Tiana told me they're high quality lashes from Japan and you can definitely see and feel the difference. I'm not just hyping this place up, you need to try and you'll definitely feel the difference for yourself. If you've ever had your lashes done before and don't expect to be surprised, boiiiii you don't know what you're in for. Overall 5/5 service, quality and everything else. My lash tech did a great job in making sure I was comfortable the entire time, and explained what she was doing so I was never in the dark about what was happening (even with my eyes closed haha). I got the Love Classic set and the whole process took just a little over an hour and a half. At one point I was so relaxed I ended up falling asleep! Lashes started coming off the next day but it was just a couple so it didn't impact the overall look. After 1 week, the lashes look messy - going in all directions. If this was my first time, then I wouldn't have any expectations but it isn't so I am quite disappointed with the results. Maybe this is the norm in Toronto but the ones I've done in Boston and New York stayed on and in a manageable fashion for weeks.

I received a text confirmation AND email confirmation as well as a form to fill out prior to the appointment as well as a note that cancellations less than 24 hours prior to appt would result in being charged for the cost of the appt. I have no issue with this. Today on March 3, less than one hour before my confirmed appointment I got a call from Gee Beauty explaining they needed to cancel the appointment, with no reason, couldn't offer a new rescheduled appointment, didn't offer an alternative time, or day and when I questioned why and how they can do this but charge their customers when they cancel- the person hung up on me. I called back twice and my calls went straight to voicemail. I left a voicemail- no reply, I then called later the same day and Sarah picked up, I explained the situation and asked about the poor service and she hung up on me. So AVOID GEE BEAUTY - a once amazing, customer centric family run business is now being run by a bunch of ignorant, deplorable, rude and entitled kids that hang up on clients.
