Of course he has specialties but I would feel willing to talk about topics on probably any subject with him and be fairly sure he would have great insights and knowledge to help me. I've been in session with a few therapists and I have little doubt I would have been equally pleased with Dr. Jobin as my counselor whether for family or even when I was still in the military and, thanks to a lot of social pressure, discretion seemed like a necessity. I am proud to tell people in every profession that it's never to late to learn how to go to therapy. I currently work in law enforcement and I spend quite a bit of time encouraging coworkers to start going before you feel you need it because it's a skill that can be improved like any other. Dr. Jobin obviously gets this and will help you no matter what level of knowledge you have regarding therapists. I was lucky enough to meet Jim in person and he reinforced every one of these views I held. He is a genuinely wonderful person to interact with and I hope anyone reading this has the same opportunity to spend time with him.

She adjusted, yet kept me on my original medication that has worked for me for years. She made sure to check if I had any new health issues and asked me how my original medication was working. Although they were telemed visits, I was happy to take my blood pressure at the beginning of each call and show her the reading. Unfortunately, she is now leaving the practice but I'm getting ready to call right now to schedule with another provider in this practice. Sad not being able to see Jamie Alvarez anymore, but I have absolute faith that I will be given another A+ therapist/psychiatrist. I will always turn to Alliance for my mental health needs.

She was professional, informative and genuinely a spiritual soul. She introduced the 7 chakra discs, we discussed intention setting and I chose 2 stones that she briefly explained how they relate to the chakra discs I chose. Laying on the healing crystals/stones was very powerful and helped me relieve a lot of built up blockage and negative energy I had in various parts of my body. My oldest son is the patient being seen here and needs some outside advise to help the grief process. He is finally ready to begin this journey and this is the reason for the visit. When we pulled into the parking lot the outside building where the psychiatrist is located it is gorgeous. It has that Southern mansion feel to it. The designers used great detail and thought on the building. The office is located inside on the lower floor. Their office has a modern looking waiting area with current magazine too. I can catch up on the latest summer tips from InStyle and the fairytale wedding from England. The chairs in the waiting area are current with the times and very stylish. The admin assistant of the office was very friendly greeting us and assisting with the paperwork. The art work on the walls is very tasteful and inspiring to look at. The whole atmosphere of the office is a fabulous upscale place to enjoy from patient or staff here. The psychiatrist was very helpful and welcomed us to the appointment. I felt less awkward after the greeting were out of the way. This was a productive step and I did feel that the doctor listened to all our issues. He provided ways in which my son can move forward. The doctor was empathetic and did not play the blame game with any issues of pain that we are struggling with. Dr. J Wood was professional in all ways and seems to understand that we need to seek outside help to make us whole again. He is not quick to medicate either. The solutions that he is suggesting are easy strategies that we can incorporate over time. Look forward to the next time we visit.
