Personally, I have severe depression and insomnia while I was going to ALLIANCE MENTAL HEALTH, unfortunately their treatment WAS NEVER HELPFUL. I didn't know why until I finally found a GREAT PSYCHIATRIST Who is an actual MD! He began spending time listening to me. I actually felt heard for the first time in many years. These mid-level providers who mostly are NP or PA's at Alliance are not able to prescribe various medications because they operate under a blanket policy plus they don't have the expertise to provide the necessary diagnosis in most cases and they're fearful of making mistakes. I had one particular provider say I wasn't being truthful about a prescription he said he would call in but then he denied he ever said that! That was enough for me to leave their services! Good thing because I may have still been there! Shame on him for putting me on the spot like that! Thankfully I am finished with Alliance Mental Health Care for good!

Don't do it. I had a…read morevery frustrating experience with this office, both with the front desk and with Dr. Nguyen. The office manager was, at times, extremely rude over the phone. There were multiple scheduling errors, including one instance where she called me in a very abrasive tone insisting I was supposed to be in-office when my appointment was actually scheduled as telehealth. When I calmly explained this, she told me I was wrong. She later called back after realizing her mistake, but did not offer any apology for the way she spoke to me. On other visits, I could overhear her speaking harshly to other patients on the phone, which was honestly uncomfortable and unprofessional. As for Dr. Nguyen, appointments felt very rushed and impersonal. Visits were often only a few minutes long, and I didn't feel there was much effort to understand my symptoms or adjust my treatment thoughtfully. I was frequently interrupted or talked over, which made it difficult to fully explain what I was experiencing. The communication between the office and the pharmacy was a constant issue. I was left to deal with the pharmacy myself over and over again. On top of that, Nguyen threatened me when it came to my medication. I was repeatedly told I might not be prescribed my medication if I didn't pick it up "on time," even when delays were caused by pharmacy issues or my work schedule. At times my treatment was actually changed because of this, which completely threw things off for me. My final experience was the last straw. He called me nearly 30 minutes early for a telehealth visit while I was getting ready for work. When I said I'd call back at the SCHEDULED time, he told me telehealth would no longer be an option for me and I'd have to come into the office. When I explained that I live 30 minutes away and these visits are extremely short (less then 5 minutes), his response was "that's okay girl nice scenic drive for you" I switched doctors that same day after that and the difference is night and day. My current provider actually listens, communicates with the pharmacy properly, and treats me like a patient. Would not recommend this office.

I was transferred here back in January 2015 and it was a SCARY & traumatic experience…read more All genders and all manner of holds in adult ward, so women and big scary dudes were all together here, including a guy who insisted he'd k**l people for mentioning Johnny Depp's name. I was here because I attempted s*****e because it was better to be gone than live with an actual neo nazi relative as my only survival option. Not hyperbole, she was an actual neo nazi. The conditions she had me living in were dehumanizing and humiliating, etc. So I got 51-50'd at the nearby hospital, then showed up in this institution's lap saying "I need help." And what did your head shrink say at the time? Oh that's right. He called me a brat. What a professional. (Sarcasm) He did say he was from San Diego so his demeanor made complete sense. So yeah the care I got here was terrible. Were they good for at least keeping patients alive? Mostly. I say mostly because even a novice nurse can read low body temperature and extremely blood pressure as odd. A trained nurse would follow up with "may I ask what happened?" Or "what condition did this patient arrive to the hospital in?" And find out that OH THEY HAVE LITTLE TO NO BLOOD LEFT. HEY MAYBE WE SHOULD TREAT THAT WITH AN INFUSION HUH?! You know, the opposite of how said patient--me--tried to k**l themself (IE extreme and sudden blood loss). The goth woman at the center desk was unnecessarily quick to call me a loser and say that one of the clubs I DJ'd at sucked. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if someone in the med field patronized your establishment and knew you were under their team's care for attempting the big S, wouldn't they not comment such stuff? Is the goal to keep patients alive or to give them reasons for future attempts on their own life? The only stimulus we had at this place was a single tv set...and playing cards... the latter of which seemed to do more harm than good because the scary inpatient quickly shifted his threats to gameplay rather than just if a certain celebrity were mentioned. I explicitly had told med staff there that I did NOT want my neo nazi aunt to visit, and they let her in anyway. This only added to my upsettedness and was immensely triggering. I was scared, needed help, needed hope in this awful moment of my life, and instead you infantilized me. You mocked me. You treated me like garbage. Oh and here's the bill for your happy ambulance ride! It took a few years to pay that debt. And by the way. Every winter I am reminded how cold it felt to be admitted here. How I had such difficulty sleeping due to how cold I and the facility was. I have cptsd and these memories still haunt me.
