Doesn't return phone calls to schedule a new patient. I have tried to call her multiple times. Very unprofessional.

Ask the Community - Cindy Jackson, LCSW

I called and her voicemail clearly stated she's not taking any new patients right now. Huge bummer. Any chance that could change?

Hi! I am accepting new clients again. If you are still looking I would like to help. I keep my practice super small - only 24 a week so I can do my best and not burn out! I know it’s annoying to have to wait around until I can open up more space but…

Does Cindy see patients under 18?

Because my hours are limited to 8-2 I am not seeing kids.

I want to start off by expressing my appreciation of the work Jillian and Doug do at this clinic…read more Going through the neurofeedback treatment process has had a significant impact on my life, in more ways than I could count. When I first came to them, I was dealing with a myriad of mental issues. Suicidal ideation, apathetic attitude towards life, and anxiety towards anyone outside my immediate family. I struggled to stay in school, hold a job, and interact with people. The biggest difference that I noticed in my life was the way I handled problems or things that were simply out of my control. A month after I began neurofeedback, I was involved in a hit and run car accident that totaled my car. Before I began the therapy, I would have seen this as a personal failing. Even though the accident was not my fault, I would have berated myself, and added it to the catalog of things that "made me a failure". But I didn't see it this way. I wasn't happy about it, of course, that day really sucked. But I woke up the next day, brushed it off, and dealt with the situation. It wasn't fun, but how I handled that scenario extended towards every other aspect in my life. I believe neurofeedback played a significant role in the change of thought. The staff here are so patient and supportive. I was fairly skeptical going into this, but everyone was able to answer my questions and didn't make me feel less than for asking questions. The therapy meant so much to me. It's been almost a year since I finished treatment, and I am still deciding to write a review. And this is coming from someone who NEVER writes reviews! Since I finished, I got a full time job, I'm in school, and I went to Italy to teach English for the summer! I am also planning upon continuing my studies overseas. At 20, I'm still relatively young, and I wouldn't want to live the rest of my life the way I was before I came here. If you are someone who is struggling with mental health issues, and has been for a while now. I would strongly recommend coming here and going through this process. I was sceptical, but I'm glad I didn't let that stop me. Thank you Jillian and Doug for all you do!

My anxiety/depression have drastically improved!! I no longer struggle with suicidal ideation and don't get caught up in OCD spiraling thoughts like I used to. I recently had an intrusive thought but instead of ruminating on it for hours/days, I was able to say "that's not going to happen" and then I MOVED ON! Like it was nothing. Such a huge sense of relief and am still so grateful I did this for myself! It has been life changing. Thank you!

They got me in…read moreright away and I was Kelley and she took her time to teach me all the exercises that would help my son before and after his tongue tie release. One time my babysitter canceled last minute and they assured me it would be okay to bring all three of my kids. The boys even got to play in an amazing indoor jungle gym type room after our appointment. The staff really went above and beyond for us and made a stressful time a positive experience. The office staff were all friendly and helpful and when I needed follow up help at 10 months for difficulty with feeding Kelley saw me right away and in just one session she got my son moving his tongue and drinking from a cup and showed me how to work on all these things at home. I'm so happy my dentist recommended Speakeasy.

I always liked this pace in the past. My daughter has been receiving the therapies at this location…read morefor many years. Unfortunately, today I can't post a good review. My child with autism was recently discharged from the speech therapy solely because she reached an age cutoff. (she is only 15), despite her clear and ongoing need for speech and communication support. Speech therapy is a long-term necessity for autistic children, not something they "outgrow" at specific age. The age should never be a factor in determining whether an autistic teenager receives speech therapy! All autistic children/teenagers are at different levels when it comes to speech. The fact that even the owner of the company was not able to help is incredibly disheartening. Dropping a child from therapy due to age rather than her actual progress is unacceptable and unethical! The therapist just handed me a piece of paper with a list of places to call that offer social group settings for my child which I did has not been successful. Most of these places that I contacted have long wait lists for speech therapy. So now my child is stuck, I am going through a lot of hassle and stress, and Speakeasy is a big Disappointment! This company is failing the autism community, unfortunately!
