Went here for hair and makeup for a special event several weeks ago and had a great experience. Ana (I think) worked a miracle updo with my hair and Alice did a wonderful job on my makeup. I recently had my hair done by Emi. She is a lovely lady who is used to working only on ladies with thick dark hair (Armenian). I have thin light hair with a natural base of dark blonde. I came to Emi this week for a colour to lift my roots up and a fresh haircut. I left with a beautiful haircut but bright yellow-orange hair and also what I later found out was a chemical burn on my scalp. Two days later I was able to get an appointment with a friend of a friend to fix my hair colour. Now it is not what I usually like but it is vastly improved! Unfortunately this whole process cost me double the time (about six hours) and double the $$. So, if you're Caucasian and have light colour 'American' hair, this might not be the place for you. read more

She was kind enough to open the salon extra early for me and was extremely sweet! Alice is also a fabulous makeup artist and VERY fast esp. if you don't have a lot of time. She uses the airbrush technique to give you full coverage while not making it look heavy. I was told by a friend that Emi is really good for haircut, And that was ABSOLUTELY true. I have thick, layered hair and just wanted to keep the layered style but little shorter and also blow out. She did great job on my haircut. I should say she is the best hair styler that I have seen in CA and I am so glad that I found her. Also, she is so nice and kind. I highly recommend her.
