He made me feel very comfortable and eased my mind of any fears I had throughout the whole procedure. Not only did he take his time but he was so thorough. All of the infection and pain I had subsided after the procedure. I could not be more grateful for all of his time. patience, and efforts- this includes the diligence and thoughtfulness of all his staff members. His assistant, Alpha is so sweet and very helpful, answering all pre and post op questions. Her sweet voice and demeanor are so comforting and settled me during and after surgery. Elisa who deals with just about every is amazing! She worked so hard to assist with all financial issues and worked with me through insurance challenges. I waited almost six months to find the right doctor and Dr. Reganato is just that person! I am so blessed that I was referred to him and I could not be more thankful to be feeling much healthier. I highly recommend him and his staff! They are truly a powerhouse of a team!

BACKSTORY Was referred to another Perio practice for a…read moreconsultation. Was checking Cigna Dental site for in-network periodontists including the referral practice. This weirdly named one came up as Dr Reganato in their list with a high rating (low fees) and sounded great... always be wary of these things. Lesson re-learned. This is a very strange office. Or failing as a practice... They answer the phone "Hello" without identifying themselves by business name and individual aka "Business Name, Mary speaking, how may I help you?" And when pressed with "uhh is this a business" they respond with "Perio" like they don't want to state who they are... vibes like they are dodging debt collectors? Weird af. EXPERIENCE Tried to make an appointment, they ask for a referral from your dentist, if you contact them... to "build a rapport" with your dentist... aka trying to get more business (need more referrals do we?) Which tracks when they closed an office in Arlington Heights and barely have any reviews on Google or Yelp. I think it's because Cigna stated fees that seem very reasonable, and this guy doesn't want Cigna Dental patients. That is my guess... are they contracted to these rates? SHADY behavior by the dental office manager Elisa and the various Susan's as well. So, suss, their conversation had a sad desperation vibe... the 2nd follow-up chat with the receptionist before Elisa... showed the senile person didn't even know who she was talking to and almost booked me, then got my name, put me on hold, and said the whole lie about September as the next available date... perio referral consults are done immediately because you don't wait on gum issues, so why did you want a referral? Beware of this weird sketchy place... oh just looked up the office. Strip mall between a Halal Meat market and Nail Salon... so they seem very successful and legit. Do professional office people answer with just "hello" and don't ask for ID info when you call to look up your account? Or say that they delete emails when appointments aren't made after their follow-up call, because they thought you were someone else... seems odd to be soliciting appointments, but then having the Office Manager Elisa say theyre booked up for 3 months and next availability is in September... after they finally get your name. Classic Susan... x2.

I now understand why my general dentist and endodontist referred me to see Dr. David McClenahan…read morewith North Suburban Periodontics, and further, why his practice commands the wait list. Their office location is convenient, clean, organized, and managed well. Friendly administrative office staff who are great at what they do. Most importantly, Dr. McClenahan is ridiculously talented! There are those who serve their profession, and do it moderately well, but lack the enthusiasm and passion...and then there's the increasingly rare instance when you find an individual who serves their profession with top-tier finesse and precision because they're truly passionate about what it is they do - and excel at their craft as a result. Aside from being: friendly, funny, warm, patient, and informative, Dr. McClenahan is relaxed as he's working which puts you the patient in a state of ease/relaxation. I had tooth #19 (bottom molar) extracted to prep a future implant today, and I walked out of the office feeling better than I did walking-in. No exaggeration. How's this even possible? I almost fell asleep in the chair during this procedure. Lol. I was eating, shopping, and back to work within 30 minutes of leaving his office without the slightest bit of discomfort or pain during or post procedure. I was given clear pre and post operation instructions, was in and out, and I know with certainty that I made a solid decision to have this work done by the best of the best. This is the type of contact/practice you keep for life. GOD bless your hands, your wealth of knowledge, and your practice. : )

I have worked with Dr. Frank in the past, where he helped to fix some incredibly extensive issues…read morerelating to a malpractice surgery by Dr. James Vaiana of IVOMS in Peru, IL. I was beyond impressed with the level of care his office took for the whole process in 2020 when we initially met. From taking a plethora of x-rays to fully understand the gravity of the situation to bringing my case to other top oral surgeons in the US to convene on the best course of action (with my consent), I have been constantly blown away. During my first surgery, he understood the level of trauma that I had experienced and his team treated me with the highest level of bedside manner and care. When I left the office, they gave me all needed medications so I would not have to stop on my long drive home, and even gave me a DQ Blizzard to enjoy later! I still feel like that's magical in some way, I can't figure it out. When my other implant failed this year in 2024, I knew that there was only one surgeon who I would trust to handle this matter for me again. I called Dr. Frank's office and made them aware that I live 10 hours away, but needed them to help stop the damage spreading in my mouth. They got me in that Friday for a consultation, and the following Monday to remove the implant and do bone grafting. While the process is never fun, they treated me with care, listened to my story and empathized on a high-level, and even dabbed my tears as I emotionally coped during the surgery. Dr. Frank's office proceeded to call me the day after the surgery to check on me and answer any questions. They had been very thorough with me prior to the surgery with specific questions, and gave me several sheets relating to healing, but this gave me an opportunity to ask about issues relating to my other dental appliances, when I could resume drinking caffeine and using straws, and more. After the INCREDIBLE care and urgency and understanding shown around this nightmare of a malpractice case caused by Dr. Vaiana of IVOMS, Dr. Frank has been a miracle in restoring my smile. I would share the before photos of the other spot, but Google flags it due to the gross nature of it because it was REALLY bad. It is honestly shocking that my teeth and gums look as beautiful as they do, and it's because of the amazing work done by Dr. Scott Frank of both NoviSmile and NorthShore Smile Surgery. Their offices are gorgeous, the services are abundant, the technology is top-of-the-line, and the care provided to the patients is second to none. I don't care where I live in the world, I will always ONLY see Dr. Frank to handle dental matters. As a former dental professional myself, I wouldn't trust any other oral surgeon at this point. Trust me when I say that oral surgery isn't something to bargain shop on, and Dr. Frank will make sure you are cared for properly the first time. Don't be like me and end up $30,000 down the road and 10 oral surgeries to replace two teeth because of my need to shop locally and affordably for services.

Secondly, they had a very comfortable waiting room with various snacks and lightning fast Wifi. This is where the good stuff abruptly ended. When I was called to come in we were led, instead of to an examining room, to an office. The office employee then told me and my wife that before they could see me they wanted an immediate payment of $398 for 3-d x-rays. I then told this person since I have insurance that the usual procedure would be for the office to provide the service, submit the claim to my insurance company and then bill me for the balance. She said she would immediately talk to her insurance coordinator and left the room. She came back 10 minutes later and told us that we would have to pay $197 immediately and bill the insurance the balance. I reiterated that all dental offices we have dealt with did the service first, billed the insurance, and there would be an EOB for us to remit the rest. She insisted on this prepayment, we informed her that this is not the way we do business, and walked out of the office, That is why this office went from 5 stars to 1 star in less than a half hour.
